I just noticed an item I voted on earlier has two different names between the proper title and the title in the description.

ECCH! Terrible item versus one that has no template fu and a SAK. I had forgotten what it was like...All you're old friends are here Ferros... the joke items the unformatted ones, the ones so clearly ripped off of pop culture they are shameless, the gory items, the more than a quarter of a million gold items (actually there's a new record holder), and items with no actual effect!

Meanwhile, two items with the exact same price. One uses Occult rules, the other references a feat and gets the name wrong.
My memory is long so I see thru your item reboots of ideas that were fairly awesome last year... You can't win by cribbing someone's item from last year and just changing small details.

This is a minor complaint, but I'm really tired of seeing these obscure weapons. I don't have the Ultimate Equipment weaponslist memorized. I have no idea what to envision when I see "iron brush" or "kerambit". It always distracts me. I get that we like variety, but if you're going to use a non-traditional weapon, try to make the general look of it clear.
Fine idea but probably overpriced vs overpriced why-would-I-bother-with-keeping-that-trash-instead-of-selling it.

In all honesty, I haven't even looked at pricing in ages. I've been hit by a wave of bad-to-mediocre items, and when those come up, the first thing on my mind is "Is this weird and sloppy, or bland and sloppy?". "Best of the worst" has been a running theme for a while now. Asking for a good price is expecting way too much. :P

Okay pro tip would be designers, if as a GM I say to myself "that item is going to make it harder for me to run the game..." You should consider revising.

I'm not talking about dedicating whole separate sentences to explaining what a naginata is. A good writer can slip in details about the visuals to get across the general feel (this is a slashing weapon, this is a polearm) without distracting from the item description.
Saving words is important, but in a contest resolved by the voters, so is being clear. :P
This is why you shouldn't use a little-known weapon as your base unless the item really calls for it. There is nothing "ordinary" or "bland" about a longsword or greatclub if you sprinkle some flavor onto it first, and it shows that you don't need to lean on existing work to make your item interesting.

Wow that's 90% backstory using less then 200 words... slow clap that's actually sort of impressive. I wish you gave me something to work with as a voter instead of the short fiction as you're writing is really not bad.

Umm...I'm pretty sure that's not how that particular mechanic is supposed to be used.
This item is basically (but not quite) based on a child's toy, and it's borderline jokey, but it's still ten times better written than the alternative.

yeah I would always go with Underpriced as that is an easy fix, making an unimpressive item impressive is definitely more work
This item would be really cool if it had a duration. A lot of roleplaying opportunities, and way more balanced. As-is, you're basically just buying a monster.
