Nah. Well, maybe a coffee might have an earthy flavor.
On another note, I have hereby decided it is my new policy as a player to ALWAYS, 100% of the time answer any GM who asks "are you sure" with "absolutely I am!"
Not only is it proper roleplaying, as in real life time doesn't stop and rewind when you do something idiodic, it's a guarantee of a great story, and probably an awesome session...and isn't that why we play? To get a good interactive story, not "to win"!
Whenever I ask 'are you sure' of my players, I generally remind them about a thing their character should know that likely came up in a different session.

Most of the time I see a GM ask it, the player decided to something beyond idiotic, usually regardless of available information.
Personally, when it happens to me, it's because I've grown tired of other players arguing for forty five minutes about a decision that should take two, and I turn on kender mode and just decide to do something to get on with the bloody game already.
Case in point, when other players were taking almost an hour to decide how to get around a set of guards, or whether to ambush them, or whatnot, I got phenomenally bored and was like "yeah, my wizard just marches up and demands they let him in on the grounds that he's old and his feet hurt."
It worked. The mass charm person spell helped, but more importantly, it got the bloody game to move on already. There's time to make a decision, but an hour is ridiculous. I thought so, and my character (being old and heavily based on Grandpa Simpson) thought so as well by reason of "I only have so long left, youngins!"

Looks like instead of playing Deadlands (which I was uber psyched about), my group might be doing a Fantasy game with Savage Worlds instead (meh to whatever excitement level).
What should I play to get myself pumped? I'm familiar with SW, but mostly through Deadlands, which I love, but have only gotten to play twice.

Happy Birthday!... to me :-)
39 years young, hopefully I don't age like Brett Favre and those old people from that one movie where those old people find the alien shell.
Shoot what's that called... Men in Black. Nailed it!
Also unlike Tacticslion, I didn't copy and paste this in like 10 separate threads, it's all original:-D
Of course I don't have the schedule that guy has, he wasn't gifted his Matrix powers, it was a necessary evolutionary step for him :-)
The cliche villainy den was just a happy byproduct :-)

I'm making an elderly, somewhat senile wizard for my game on Sunday. Roleplaying dementia won't be disrespectful to people with genuine age related mental problems at all!
Strongly based off of:
Professor Farnsworth from Futurama
Abraham "Grandpa" Simpson
Fizban the Fabulous from Dragonlance
Stan's grandfather on South Park
With such classics as:
-Telling long-winded boring stories that will have no ending until another player interrupts and shuts me up (the habit hindrance)
-Everyone is my grandchild, and they will be called by the wrong name every single time
-Yelling down a list of names until I get to the correct one I was trying for in the first place because I don't remember which one I'm mad at (my actual grandmother did this a lot)
-Complaining that various body parts ache
-Being terrible with technology (all thumbs hindrance)
-Going to sleep during important events in the plot (everyone I know over 50 in the movie theater 1/3 of the time)
-Complaining about the inferiority of everything today compared to what it used to be
...am I missing anything for this?
(Note - he will be a pretty powerful dude, what with the maxed out smarts and spellcasting die, wizard edge, and when I get telekinesis at 20xp, my spirit is pretty boss too)

I just know hippies that eat it because it's animal-cruelty-free meat. Also, because they're disgusting. Objectively. Screw cultural relevatism. That's just nasty.
Also, this still makes me laugh to this day. The look on his face is priceless.

Well, as I said when I created him, I am a leader of men...
Lately, I lead vault dwellers. Fallout Shelter has me hooked. This is no mere Android game! It has no ads, no friend requirements, no premium version that costs more...not to mention it's Fallout, which I think I've mentioned a few times I adore.

Since i can't expect you to go backtracking on FaWtL* and i know you're a sap for happy stories i thought i'd re-post this here:-)
When i was 17 i picked up my new guitar that i'd had on layaway forever, a sweet Telecaster with an island paint job, then i paid my buddy 10 bucks to drive me to this little town 17 miles away where, after 3 months or so of courtship i'd finally scored a date with this super hot blonde grunge witch chick, boy you should've seen me that night, i was on fire! i pitched the most perfect game of woo that was ever pitched i tell you!
It also began a whirlwind 8 and half month relationship, the eventual break-up doesn't matter because that super hot grunge witch is my wife:-)
And that was my best birthday ever!
*I did start from the beginning of FaWtL 6, made it 2 pages i think and skipped ahead, i actually discovered it because i was bored no one was posting on the AP boards and saw Orthos posting on FaWtL so i was like hey i wonder what that is:-) or did Orthos recommend it? can't remember exactly, so long ago :-)

I think I'm gonna take a forum break for a while. I'm not sure how long. I'm kind of burned out by the turn of things around here of late, and with me not playing Pathfinder anymore I can't even enjoy the gaming side of the forums as much.
My spotty presence lately aside, I'm going to miss you!

I think Tacticslion is still crying in his lair, or maybe counseling Ashley Madison client's wives for his church, I imagine the Florida Christian community got hit pretty hard with that:-D
As a Christian in Florida I can safely say...Not really.
Frankly, I don't understand why it's a shock when Christian leaders fall short of perfection. The entire message of the religion is that we all fall short, perfection is impossible, and yet are nevertheless given a get out of jail free card.
Someone else's shortcomings has no adverse affects on my personal faith. I may choose to avoid them as a personal spiritual leader, but to use an analogy, that shows the fault of middle management, as it were, not the CEO, or the corporation altogether.
If an atheist does something contrary to the survival of his own genetics, you don't throw out natural selection, do you?

No I would just post in this thread about whether Lichs can be good and I would say "Tammy wouldn't do that" or "Tammy isn't subtle"
For three or four pages I'd drop like two or three posts a page, I figured if I did it all weekend someone would make a Lich named Tammy, I started that morning and by one that afternoon James Jacobs did it.
It was pretty sweet:-)
Of course now that you planted the seed of getting her published I will only continue the onslaught :-)
