My opinion is not worth so much more than others that it is worth voicing in a special context.

Unless you meant to crowd forge things specifically related to settlements?

Decius, I meant for each leader to confer with their membership and come up with a list. Said list would be brought to a meeting where the leadership would try to figure out which is the top 5 needed ASAP, I realize that a lot of people do not want that sort of thing.

I have since created a google document and have asked people to fill it out, so at the very least we can consolidate ideas in one place, since that was the very intent of opening this thread.

However it may have started, I am content with the current results of this thread.

Next time I will be clearer in my intent, and I won't post very late at night, lol

GROUP HUG!

@Mignight,

Last time I gave you a hug, you stole my wallet and I walked funny for a week...

Of course, why do you think I'm insisting on another? ;-)

Goblin Squad Member

Because of the pack of juicy fruits I left in my pocket? lol

On a serious note, here is the link to the document:

There are 15 ideas currently, with a solid amount of activity over the last two hours.

Not that it may matter but, Shared Banking should include within same account. Without being able to multibox, there is no way to trade between your own characters withou having to involve another party.

To me this has so much more impact that improved chat channels, honestly there are third party programs that most of us are using anyway.

It has come to my attention that a lot of people actually thought I meant to intimidate the devs, I just wanted to clear that up. In my OP that was an auto correct that you can clearly see makes no sense within that sentence. It was suppose to say immediate, which I posted afterwards, but again some people just read the OP and comment/leave.

I'll contribute to the list over the weekend, if I don't get to it sooner.

Goblin Squad Member

Thank you, Midnight, much appreciated.

It has actually been actively used for the past 18 hours, by over 100 users, so its working, and I am very proud/happy about that, as well as glad we could come to a compromise.

List of Concerns for Survey/Poll Material - For those just following this is a document to consolidate pressing matters as an added resource for the developers.

I just absolutely hated the idea because I'm here for the crowdforging and I won't allow anyone to take it out of my hands. Certainly not at this stage of the game.

When I first read the OP, I was thinking that there is plenty of discussions on Settlements that need to be addressed. Settlement Leaders (not owners per se) are the ones that are working with the settlement interface, management and mechanics.

But I would not want Settlements to say that they provide fair representation on Crafting and Resource gathering.

It would be a good idea to break out into smaller "focus groups" for particular areas. That way players can talk about their own passions in the game without wading though what isn't that important to them directly.

Focus Groups, that could be very interesting.

I hope GW takes a look at this idea.

Goblin Squad Member

OK, so the clear frontrunners on our list are:

settlement chat
shared storage
improved targeting and IFF logic

I don't imagine this is a big surprise to GW or anyone who's paying attention, but there you have it.

What I find so amazing about this process is that its been about 48 hours now and we have heard back from 150+ people. It was cheap and dirty, so to speak, but elicited a decent response.

On top of having three frontrunners, we have a slew of other concerns to draw from, like:

UI Improvements (lumping 3 suggestions into one here)
Improved Settlement Guards
Buy Orders for the AH

While all of these things have been talked about in multiple different places, we now have a more consolidated list, that has been publicly crowdforged. Do I believe the devs will use this resource? Yes, I don't think they will just use this and be done with it, but its a nice place to reference while reading through the forums, a secondary resource if you will.

Re: Buy Orders for the AH

I'd like to point out that Buy Orders for the AH can solve a lot of the problems folks are hoping to solve with Shared Storage, and it can solve some of those problems much better. It just needs to come with Price Discrimination for Allies - that is, being able to fulfill Allies' Buy & Sell Orders first even if they're not the best price. I would also hope that the Auction House Tax would be changed from a flat rate for all to a Rate that can be set by Settlement Leadership, and can be set differently for Allies.

There could also be a system in the Auction House where you can list an item for sale, including at a price of zero, and only allow a specific person to buy it. That would create a working system for buy orders for allies, arranged transfers, transfers between alts, arranged sales, and drop box transfers for people who aren't online at the same time.

GW wants the auction house to be a coin sink. Allowing zero price auctions is not a coin sink, and provides no benefit to the AH for non settlement members using their limited resource. If zero price auctions are permitted, it should Only be as a stop-gap until shared banking is implemented.

I think those kinds of uses would be better served with a Contracts system rather than hijacking the Auction House (which would badly skew any Auction House statistics, for those who like market analysis).

Yeah, I think these kinds of processes can be very democratic and effective at the same time. Useful for getting some initial data to work off of.

Contracting system that allows deliveries would fulfill this, being able to trade somewhat asynchronously is the key I think.

Goblin Squad Member

The ability to buy when all the sellers are asleep is fairly key for me. I look forward to fixed and stocked Auction Houses.

Goblin Squad Member

If we are really i terested in democracy then I do not see a problem.

Goblin Squad Member

Gadzooks..... I tried putting several looted items on the AH last night and I completely lost interest in doing so.

What a tedious mess. With a extremely short 48 hour window, considering the server pop, not cost effective in time or copper.

I would forego the AH altogether and to P-to-P trades instead.

I would add to the list, removal of the NPC settlements all together. Beginning in Month 2, all new players begin in TK.

TK Guards become more like Concord, but PC settlement guards remain as is.
