Hmm, thats a hard one pathfinder star wars or pathfinder blade runner/ shadowrun, jeez either way is a win-win.
i'd say Urban Fantasy, although not by much and i may change that within the hour
would you rather have a Pirate Crew of Gnomes or Goblins
Off-Topic, but thats okay i hope** spoiler omitted **
That is a tough one...I will pick gnomes. They are less annoying.
Would you rather be stuck in Golarion or the Forgotten Realm?

Can I live in a Silverymoon that won't be destroyed by 4th Edition?
If so, Forgotten Realms.
If not, Golarion, probably somewhere like Elventree, near the Moonsea.
Would you rather give a colossal evil dragon a bath or transport a dozen gibbering mouthers across a country?
(No magic!)
...
(Edited to clarify no magic and to fix mothers to mouthers ... Oh, Autocorrect! ... but a dozen gibbering mothers could be scary, too!)

I'd rather take the census, if you live, the stories you'll tell, free mead for f+*~ing life!.... If you live that is:-p
would you rather tell Alaznist to calm down or tell Zutha he could shave off (literally) a few pounds:-p

As much as I like Golarion, probably Forgotten Realms.
QUASI-EDIT: ninja'd!

Ahem: the bath is more likely survivable, so...
QUASI-EDIT: DAGGUMIT, ninja'd again!
Well, giving a dragon a bath might let me get out of there alive. Listening to the mouthers won't.
Would you rather kiss Norah at the Rusty Dragon, or take a census record from Mammy Graul?
According to the wiki, Nora the hagfish is at The Hagfish and not the Rusty Dragon? And I'm not entirely sure who Mammy Graul is.
Still, as no one has died from Nora (and Hag fish are just slimy skulled eel-like creatures anyway), and Mammy Graul sounds suspiciously like Granny Goodness of Darkseid fame, I'mma go with the "kiss the fish" approach.
ACTUAL-EDIT: OH COME THE HECK ON... Ninja'd again...
EDIT 2: At least this one didn't have the same answer... :D

would you rather tell Alaznist to calm down or tell Zutha he could shave off a few pounds:-p
Once again, the PF Wiki helps me understand the question, so I'd say Zutha, and I'd do so by scribbling it in his three books (though I'd never be in possession of all three at the same time), one at a time before burning a given book to ash.
ANYway, at long last...
Would you rather develop an anime of your most recent PF game, or a bonkers 80s cartoon of your most recent PF game (ala Thundercats, Silverhawks, Gem, G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, He-Man, She-Ra, etc.)? (And what would it's name be?)
"EDIT 3: The Edit from Above"
Hils have eyes, tacticslion, when dealing with Mammy Graul and her twisted kin, check here if you wanna learn more:-p
its one of two adventures to give me nightmares after only reading it! (Valley of the Brain Collectors is the other)
edit: and i don't scare or get nightmares easily, at all (Halloween is my favorite holiday by a country mile! which i presume is much farther then an actual mile...)
It means "a very long way", sooooo...
((And I definitely stick by my choice...))
:)

I play in 3 games currently, but if we just take the one we played last... I'll take the whacky 80's cartoon, it probably lends itself well to our stupid "one person gets along with everyone and everyone else are at odds with each other" party :D
And I would call it... I don't know, is it a foul not to answer that part?
Would you rather play as a Merfolk* in a campaign that takes place away from large bodies water 99% of the time, or a Human** in an underwater campaign?
*without the trait that improves land speed
**necklace of adaptation included
Also, this thread has way too many mentions of Mammy Graul *whimpers and hides in corner*

80's cartoon. Where is my M.A.S.K. game!?!?
Illusion is the ultimate weapon!
Got a little too excited...sorry
Would you rather jump from a building with a ring that *might* have feather fall or would you rather jump into lava with a ring that *might* have greater teleport activated by the jump?
EDIT: OMG or Centurions!

Tacticslion |

Would you rather play in a campaign without arcane or divine magic?
Without arcane magic. It's a frustrating campaign to be sure, but it's less prone to problems with the GM and players than divine magic (that is not to say that divine casters are without their OP-issues *cough-druid/summons-cough* just that there are less of them) and it's an interesting idea to build around.
It simplifies quest-making a very great deal as well.
Would you rather play a campaign with no pure martials or no ninth level casters?

John Kretzer |

No pure materials. I like when casters are able to use 9th level spells. Crafting only seems useful in low treasure campaigns when you need that one magic item.
Would you rather have a gaming session end due to scheduling issues or a munchkin killing the party?
Scheduling issues....less chance of me murdering somebody.
Would you rather play a character you loved but never gain a level or play a character you feel at meh about to level 20?

John Kretzer |

This is a tough one...I think I would rather play a campaign I loved. Well I enjoy GMing a great deal...I just enjoy being a player a little bit more.
Would you rather play a military type game in which the PCs are all in the army or play a merchant type game where the PCs are all partners in the same merchant company?

Trigger Loaded |

Military style game. Less bookkeeping involved, just get your orders and hack stuff.
Would you rather play at a table that's too small (rubbing elbows, no room on the table for your books and snacks) or too large? (have to get up and move around to move your mini, may be hard to hear the GM during subdued moments?)

Tacticslion |

Help. (I wanted to answer the other, but kept running out of time.)
I've answered my own post before, but that might be a foul, looking at the OP... meh, it's a muddled mess by now anyway...
In any event, would you rather play a PF game as demons attempting to destroy a kingdom, or as devils attempting to take over?

TheMonocleRogue |

I prefer Spies since gathering intel is far more valuable than petty theft. Imagine all the cool spy gadgets you could use!
You come into possession of an orb of dragonkind. Do you try to find the other orbs to destroy them or use it's power to enslave dragons.
EDIT = Ninja'd, sorry...
Would you rather get a powerful intelligent magic weapon that's arrogant as all hell and lords it over you, or one that's a sad sack emo that constantly cries over how worthless it is?
I'd take the powerful magic item and threaten to throw it at the bottom of an icy lake if it ever attempted to control me.

@Trigger Loaded: a powerful arrogant magic int weapon..I can deal with that...I can't deal with emos.
@The MonocleRogue: Use it powers to enslave dragon...have them find the others than destroy them.
Yes I just did a double play :)
Would you rather have to play in your parentss basement or in your parent's garage?

TheMonocleRogue |

I would rather play in their garage, their "basement" is 2 ft tall and made of dirt...
You and a group of friends find a real "Deck of Many Things" but only you realize it. Everyone has to draw a card (for one reason or another) do you draw first or convince a friend to?
The real trick to a deck of many things is that you have to announce the draw in order for the card to have any effect. I'd do that in a heartbeat and hope to get the emperor or the moon card.
Would you watch an arm wrestling contest between Gorum and Torag, or watch a debate between Abadar and Erastil.

That is a tough question. On the one hand, I'd like to try out different systems. On the other hand, three hours to learn a whole new rule set and game is pretty sparse. On the other side, a 12 hour marathon session could just drag on and on if it isn't good. On the other hand, if it's a good game, I could easily see myself staying involved for that long, plus a meal and exercise break.
So, if it's a known group and established game, the marathon session. Otherwise, variety week.
Would you rather ride the Tarrasque or moon Rovagug in his prison?

TheMonocleRogue |

I'd rather hear voices in my head. I've fought Basidironds before and their hallucination cloud really screwed up my character. Imagine yourself melting and trying to hold together or having your weapon come alive and attack you. Visual and auditory hallucinations are way scarier than mere voices in your head.
An army under your banner has besieged Cheliax and took the capital. Do you annex the entire city or form a puppet government within it.

thegreenteagamer |

Cheliax is a nation, not a city, and quite a massive one at that, at one point even dwarfing even other major powers like Andoran in size...though they have shrunken some in the last century.
Did you mean the capital, or holy crap somehow you managed to take out what was once and might still arguably be the most powerful empire in Golarion?

![]() |

I annex the entire city. Trying to do subtle around people who have been dealing with devils for that long is...unwise.
Would you rather draw the attention of Anaphexis or the Night Heralds?

The Anaphexis...because I don't know who the Night Heralds are.
Would you rather live in Geb or would you rather live in Nidal?

Crown of the World...I love the cold.
Would you rather had this thread stay in the Gamer Talk Sub-forums or have it where it is now (Forum Games)?
Forum games does make more sense (though it's time in Gamer Talk sure got it a lot of views I don't think it would've otherwise got), so I'd say stay...but only because it's probably got as many players as it will get that will actually keep up with it.
Would you post on the following thread idea?
"Your real alignment" -
Poster starts "IRL I think my alignment is X, because...but based on my posts on these forums, you think my alignment is:"
Next Poster - "Y, because...IRL I think my alignment is..." and it repeats through as many posters as we can get.
