Ogres. I'm not a fan of overcooked food.
If you were a lich, would you rather keep your phylactery well hidden in a remote, dangerous location or keep it close at hand and make it as indestructible as possible?
Keep it close...well hidden, remote, and dangerous location are just beacons for adventurers
Would you rather play a solo adventure or a a adventure with 10 people playing?

Note:I think we lost Tacticslion in the sub-forum changed...
You had... but I found it again, SUCKERS!! NYA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH~!
Would you rather play in a game of F.A.T.A.L. with friends, but the GM... err, Aedile, takes it seriously? Or run a game of F.A.T.A.L. with at least half the players taking it seriously?
No. No, I would not rather. But if I had to, it'd be the former. The game would quickly end, and we'd move on to something else.
Would you rather play a nymph (free girdle of gender change, if you want it) with prestige classes that upped your casting like a druid, or play an actual druid? Why?

John Kretzer |

Do you mean halflings or gnomes?
Gnomes. I will learn all of their MAD SCIENCE!
Would you rather
play an NPC class with perfect ability scores (all 18s)
or
play a PC class with sub optimal ability scores (10 point buy)?
PC class with sub optimal ability scores.
Would you rather marry Queens Abrogail Thrune II or marry Queen Elvanna?

Trigger Loaded |

Queen Thrune. She doesn't have a looming threat to her power making her desperate and perhaps unhinged. And you know those Lawful Evil hotties are devils in the sack. Whether she demands to be the top in bedroom and out, or she's got an inner bad girl that needs to be punished, I can oblige. Elvanna might just cut my heart out and eat it.
Would you rather face off with a pack of ghouls, or a pack of Athasian cannibal halflings?

John Kretzer |

Ghouls. They smell worse, but they are not all third level characters and they are not all psionic.
Would you rather be in a foundering submarine or a foundering airship?
A Foundering submarine...you can only go up...unlike a floundering airship which you can only go down.
Would you rather teleport place but might end up somewhere randomly or walk everyplace and never get lost?

Well, Rovagug is right out. Ancient god of destruction that other gods fear? He'd likely devour and/or destroy me, body and soul. Best not mess with him.
That leaves Satan and Cthulhu. On the one hand, Cthulhu's presence would likely drive me insane before he devoured me, so he'd kill me off. Satan, being more of a trickster and corrupter, I see as being below such indiscriminate destruction. On the other hand, talking to Lucifer would probably lead to eternal damnation as his honeyed words convince me to agree to some kind of deal. I may be able to resist by plugging my ears, closing my eyes, and screaming "LA LA LA LA LA," but that'd probably just piss him off. And I don't THINK Cthulhu has any specific power over souls.
I'll tentatively go with Cthulhu. Certain mortal destruction is better than possible eternal damnation.

Would you rather have a small but fancy dice collection with a durable and well-made dice bag, or a large jumble of dice ranging from attractive to hideous, in a bunch of improvised bags?

Uh... both?
But, choosing one, I'd go with the latter. Easier to share with people.
It's Play-by-Post time! Would you rather have me as a GM of it or have me as a player in it? Why?
(This can be one that you GM or one someone else GMs.)
EDIT: fix coding

This is suppose to be PF related....I'll answer it though.
Have everything I type with hilarious typos....because at least I can still communicate with people.
Would you rather cast spells like a wizard (IE Larger selection and must memorize spells a head of time) or like a sorcerer (much smaller selection but cast spells spontaneously)?

John Kretzer |

Well. Beer. Even though depending on what part of the world you're in I'm possibly underage. I just despise soda.
Would you rather
Have to impress (so that they won't try and kill you)
a goblin tribeor a kobold tribe
or a group of drow
A group of drow...I don't fear goblins or kobolds.
Would you rather get swallowed by a purple worm or swallowed by a whale?

Hmm, I've only played 4e, 5e, and heavily home-brewed 2e, and between those options I'd... probably say 4e, honestly.
2e was confusing as all hells, and I have no idea whether the GM's homerules helped or hindered in that respect; I don't want to see THAC0 make a return in any incarnation.
I'm really enjoying 5e at the moment, but it sort of feels halfway between 3 and 4 as it is, so if I wanted to see Paizo's take on something, it would be 4e, as it's a very different creature.
But I'd want it to be what it is: a tabletop strategy game (like CardHunter, which I really love) rather than billed as an 'rpg', if that makes sense.

Would you rather be a wealthy nobleman in Cheliax, or a free middle-class citizen in Andoran?

Free Andoran. Hate the idea of my success keeping someone else down.
Would you rather be reincarnated into the opposite gender or be reincarnated into an enemy race?

TheMonocleRogue |

Opposite gender is too funny to pass up from a roleplay perspective. I'd go with that. Besides, disguising yourself as the enemy means their enemies will come looking for you which could spell trouble for the rest of the party.
Find a treant in a dense forest full of similar sized trees or a doppelganger in a densely populated area?

Goblin teeth, once a year. Easier to subdue a goblin and knock them out.
Would you rather take the test of the Starstone (no guarantee either way you'll survive or pass), or be next in line to rule Cheliax?
Possible destruction or guaranteed eternal damnation? Let's go with the one that DOESN'T sell my soul to Hell.
Would you rather be an Ulfen in the desert or a Kelishite in the mountains?

Would you rather be an Ulfen in the desert or a Kelishite in the mountains?
Kelishite. I can always where more clothes, but I could do little about my naturally-hairy body* (or nothing that I'd feel comfortable with doing). I'd also finally have a skin-tone closer to my Amerindian ancestry, so that'd be kind of cool.
Incidentally, this thread never pops up on the forums proper. I just think of it every once in a while, find my post that Sissyl favorited when I noted that I found this again, and read the things I've missed. I'd kind of like it to start showing up again, though... ANYway!
Would you rather, in real life, have a ring of sustenance that provides a constant keep watch, prestidigitation ("clean this ring and the wearer and the wearer's clothes" effect), and mending (targeted on all items worn by the wearer) [price: very roughly 8.5k-value] or a ring of three wishes that held a luckstone embedded into it [price: very roughly 150k-value].
Bear in mind that both of these would have a very-similar-to-game effect/limits/etc. just placed in our own world and would both be effectively unique, and there would be no "market" for them in this world (outside of whatever you could get people to bid for them), so...
I find the decision much more difficult to choose between than the price-tags indicate... hence this question.
* Presupposing I was a keleshite. I'm hairy, but not all that, compared to many of my contemporaries, at least when I was in college.

The Ring of Sustenance. Wishes are cool, yeah, but the stories say that they're almost never worth it. Besides, I never have to buy clothes again!

Okay, now would you rather fight a hydra-sized rabbit, or a rabbit-sized hydra?

Tacticslion |

Hm...
If it's in our world, a hydra-sized rabbit, as it will implode on itself (or give itself a series of fatal heart-failures) due to its size, and won't be able to move without breaking its bones, and thus won't be able to move far at all. I'd start from 110 ft. away, with a composite longbow. :D
If it's in the PF world, given that I'm effectively a second level commoner*, prooooooobably still the hydra-sized rabbit?
The hydra would be (I believe) slooooowwwwwww, and have really poor strength (I think dropping four size categories like that imparts a -24 to STR, leaving it either paralyzed or with an STR "minimum" of 1 and -10 to CON, leaving 8?), so I could outrun it and I wouldn't fear it's natural attacks (it'd be 1d2-4 damage each with a +1 total attack modifier). While it's fast healing would be rather terrible, it'd lose 25 of its hit points (losing it's CON bonus and taking -1 CON penalty per hit dice) down to 22... so not that bad. It'd lose most of it's nAC (-5 down to +1) but it'd gain in DEX (+8 for 20... or a +5 to it's AC) and it'd gain the size bonus instead of penalty (gaining a total of +4) so that's a net loss.
The rabbit, on the other hand, would get a +24 to STR for a total of 27, would lose 8 from DEX for a total of 8 (a loss of -4 to AC, but with a +5 nAC to offset it, a loss of -4 for size... grand total a change of -3 to its AC or an AC of 12), gain +10 CON (total of 19 CON, and +5 hit points for a total of 8). It's bite would deal 2d6+8 damage and it would gain a +6 total to attack... not a fan.
Either way, I'd have a haste effect up, and still have a composite longbow, starting from 110 ft. away. The rabbit's attack is only once per round (as opposed to five times), and, I could hypothetically take it out with a single successful shot, plus, with a haste effect on, I can outrun him... it's just that it's a deadly, deadly gamble if I lose or make a mistake. On the other hand, the hydra is hypothetically more forgiving if I make a mistake, buuuuuuuuu~t, I'd never really be able to kill it, practically speaking. It's AC would be too high, and it's fast healing would negate any damage I could deal before I could deal it.
If I was a low-level "character" (say a fighter or wizard or something), it'd be the rabbit without hesitation. One decent whack of my sword - two, if I'm unlucky - or two good magic missiles should take care of the thing, easily. If I was a higher level character, the tiny hydra. At which point, the "fight" would be all about taming it and making it my friend, and naming it "Mr. Cuddles" instead.
EDIT: feel free to check my references, if you like. :D
Would you rather have a pet dragon, or a pet angel (presuming the angel is less powerful than the dragon, and the "pet" in question, means they love you and will loyally serve you in any task not inimical to their nature)?
* I know, I'm probably being quite generous...
