Hello everyone, I've tried to find a riddle that the answer to could be 'Crest' but I've not been able to find one. It should be somewhat short and if it mentions protection that would be great.
Does anyone have one I could use?
An alternative riddle could be for 'Shield'.
If you are referring to 'crest' as in the meaning of a family crest, perhaps having the riddle worded such that an answer is an alternate definition, like a crest of feathers or the crest of a hill?
Yes 'crest' as in a family crest... the alternate definition that would work would be 'shield'.

Top of the peak, symbol of the name.
OR
Peak of rock or water, of feathers or of bone,
Bearer of the family arms yet can't defend the home.
Over the hill
Above the Mantle
First to erect
Last to dismantle
Worn on breast and helm and shield
Won for honors on the field
Lion rampant or Stag bestride,
Symbol of a family's pride
Not perfect by a mile, but a nice start...probably could use some brushing up.
