Are the new ACG pregens publicly available yet? I know they were available at Gen Con for use but haven't been able to find them uploaded to the website yet.

I truly hope they get permanently added to the usable pregen downloads and aren't just a one-time deal for the con. I also hope the original pre-gens get reevaluated for their place in the game (as was mentioned in one of the Paizo panels) since the ACG pregens were surprisingly well statted and prepared for a large number of possible situations.

Tho, I believe their abilities should be more clearly defined on the character sheet, especially since they mostly get used by new players. For example, the inquisitor isn't clear on the difference between his extracts and his other alchemical items. (this was a point of confusion for a player at one of my tables) and the Shaman isn't clear about her hexes and abilities with how her spirit and wandering spirit work which led to her not being able to flex her class's "muscles" while straight number crunch classes like the slayer and bloodrager go on to hog all the blood-filled glory.

I haven't had a chance to take a close look, but I believe Mark Seifter wrote the pregens to both match the imagery that came in, and also be effective in the organized play environment where they are most commonly used.

The iconic PCs have to work like their iconic image as imagined by WAR, so some aspects of them will not change. Restatting them to be 20 point buys was a good step, and other than Harsk and Hayato I don't have problems with people sitting down with them at this point for most scenarios (vice the horrifying lack of DR bypass... but that's a separate sort of issue).

I expect they will be posted around when the ACG is added to the PRD.

I was surprised that the Bloodrager was Elemental bloodline and not Stormborn bloodline. i mean, they both work, but his backstory seems to scream Stormborn

Stormborn exists only for Sorcerers at the moment.

They release 4 of the pregens of new classes in a level 3 version for the special free RPG day. I believe this version is only for that special but I think it set the frame work and those 4 wont change much.

Crowe (Male Human Bloodrager) - I feel this guy is poorly built. But then again he is a bloodrager so he will be fine. My only real grip is this starting STR is 14 with a starting CHA of 16. They should be swapped.

Quinn (Male Human Investigator) - Have not really looked into this class.

Jirelle (Female Halfelf Swashbuckler) - Has Skill Focus (Bluff), not really sure why.

Oloch (Male Halforc Warpriest of Gorum) - This guy rocks, but then again no way he couldnt being he worships Gorum. Correctly Stated with an 18 STR, unlike our poor Bloodrager.

Wait to complain that she doesn't have this feat coming out in a player companion in October, which reasonably you're right to not expect her to have, until you see her ;)

She gets Skill Focus for free for being a half-elf.

Oh, I mean ready an action to complain when the pregens come out, not when Advanced Class Origins does.

Trust me, the pregen Crowe is a walking death machine. Used the 1st level pregen at Gencon. He has a damage of 2d6+12 when raging! Str 18 (base +4, rage makes it +6, on earthbreaker makes it +9) plus power attack (+3) with furious focus to negate the attack penalty. Plus a 1d6 electricity if he's feeling mean.

He's a BBEG crusher. Very different than the Free RPG version.

And didn't we have this conversation on Friday in person? :-)

Kudos on the new pregens!

A high bluff score is pretty handy when it comes to feinting. Or Fast talking your way out of awkward situations that swashbucklers tend to land themselves in.

In the meantime I presume we are ok to use copies of the ACG pregens saved from GenCon?

Grand Lodge 2/5

Are the ACG pregens available yet? If they're not freely available, are the ones that are from the con legal for play?

As they are not in Additional Resources no.... they were only legal for the scenario they were printed in.

Scarab Sages

LazarX,
He's talking about the actual level 1, 4, and 7 pregens that were available for use at GenCon. Not the Risen from the Sands level 3's.

claudekennilol and hxcmike,
The ACG pregens are not legal to play until they are released to the public from what I understand. Once they appear in your downloads, play away.

Hey! No holding readied actions out of combat. Get contingent action cast on yourself.

The ACG pregens were released to the public at GenCon and are legal to play. They're just not available yet to be downloaded.

The problem will take care of itself. If he keeps holding a readied action, he'll die of thirst in four days. :)

So it's all on the Paizo staff to come to his rescue and get those PDFs up for download!

Will the ACG pre-gens go up on the site on time! Will David expire and come back as a rage haunted revenant!

So keep tuned on this channel for our next cliffhanging episode!

Where can I find unofficial copies of them, then? Because I was dumb and assumed Paizo would make them freely available and didn't grab all of them.

Scarab Sages

The pregens from GenCon, if I understand it properly, were "Playtest" pregens that were only available at GenCon and possibly one or two other high traffic cons. They are making adjustments before actually releasing them.
