He was in game in General Chat around 3.15 pm server time which is around 8.15 am in Eastern Australia :D

Did they reset characters to starting xp, keep the xp we had earned last week, or award us the pile of xp we would have earned between shutdown and 3pm Pacific?

We respawned exactly where we logged off with all our stuff still in inventory equipped gear and all the xp we would have earned between shutdown and 3pm Pacific.

My character had about 400K XP waiting to allocate.

New players logging in will start with nearly 800K XP

Thanks for the information. For new people, that's almost like being in Alpha 6 again.

I doubt that as level 14 miner (the highest level I trained) cost me about 30K XP I think. But by the end of this Alpha session - yes maybe we will be all multi-tasking wunderkind.

Unfortunately things like copper and blue ink are still in short supply.

Ryan confirmed in-game after the server went up that copper, indigo, and some other materials aren't in the game yet. I had to leave suddenly, but it sounded as if he might have been arranging to hand them out to folks manually.

Yeah I really need copper but he was in Sotter and I was in Oster and I had to logout to go to work.

Ryan clarified on Teamspeak that the "missing" materials exist in the game's code, but--with one exception for a bad value in a table, that's being corrected--the Alpha area just doesn't have the hexes producing those materials. Due to that, he created stacks of 10,000 of each and gave them to Cheatle.

If you've not been able to find something, Cheatle's now your best friend.

I'd guess the answer is for Cheatle to find a few players to give stacks of 500 or a thousand to so they can share them.

I've got Caldeatheb parked in Cloverdell for the moment and would be happy to both use and share if that works

I've had no problem splitting things at all. a click, or (shift click?) delivers 1, a double click delivers all.

Maybe some things act differently, but that has been my experience.

Hmm. I was speaking from hearsay. I thought the blog said the ability to split a stack was being worked on for release in 8 or 9.

Perhaps it meant that the options would be more flexible than one or all.
