"This morning"

So it really did go up last night? I thought that was a typo in this week's Alpha email.

Did they reset characters to starting xp, keep the xp we had earned last week, or award us the pile of xp we would have earned between shutdown and 3pm Pacific?

We respawned exactly where we logged off with all our stuff still in inventory equipped gear and all the xp we would have earned between shutdown and 3pm Pacific.

My character had about 400K XP waiting to allocate.

New players logging in will start with nearly 800K XP

Thanks for the information. For new people, that's almost like being in Alpha 6 again.

I thought I started Alpha 6 with only 100K, so this is far more "what do I do with all this largesse?"

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

You're right. This might be more than we can train without maxing out every trainer in the game.

I doubt that as level 14 miner (the highest level I trained) cost me about 30K XP I think. But by the end of this Alpha session - yes maybe we will be all multi-tasking wunderkind.

Unfortunately things like copper and blue ink are still in short supply.

Goblin Squad Member

Ryan confirmed in-game after the server went up that copper, indigo, and some other materials aren't in the game yet. I had to leave suddenly, but it sounded as if he might have been arranging to hand them out to folks manually.

Yeah I really need copper but he was in Sotter and I was in Oster and I had to logout to go to work.

maybe Bonny will hand out some crafting mats this adventure time (*wink hint hint)

Grand Lodge

WTB Bonnys affection and 500 Copper Bars :D

Goblin Squad Member

Maybe she'll raffle copper next time instead of alpha invites....

Goblin Squad Member

Ryan clarified on Teamspeak that the "missing" materials exist in the game's code, but--with one exception for a bad value in a table, that's being corrected--the Alpha area just doesn't have the hexes producing those materials. Due to that, he created stacks of 10,000 of each and gave them to Cheatle.

If you've not been able to find something, Cheatle's now your best friend.

Goblin Squad Member

Poor Cheatle. ;)

Goblin Squad Member

lol Clover is going to beome a popular destination

I'd guess the answer is for Cheatle to find a few players to give stacks of 500 or a thousand to so they can share them.

I've got Caldeatheb parked in Cloverdell for the moment and would be happy to both use and share if that works

(edit: oops. The northern town, which is Osterberg? Caldeathec will be in the Cloverdell by tonight, though and, again, happy to share.

Goblin Squad Member

Problem is he has to give whole stacks. Not sure how many copper resources come in a stack.

I've had no problem splitting things at all. a click, or (shift click?) delivers 1, a double click delivers all.

Maybe some things act differently, but that has been my experience.

Goblin Squad Member

Hmm. I was speaking from hearsay. I thought the blog said the ability to split a stack was being worked on for release in 8 or 9.

Perhaps it meant that the options would be more flexible than one or all.

Goblin Squad Member

That would certainly be good for a stack of 10,000

Goblin Squad Member

Delivering stacks of 500, one at a time, will be fun.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm not sure that would be 'delivering'. 'Delving' maybe...

Tonight will NOT be a scheduled event. I will be trying to play from home... we all know how that went last week... But, if it does not work on my PC, my husband has graciously let me use his should anything happen. I dont have anything planned for us to do, but I am more than willing to just run around with everyone and kill s$*&! OR we could all just stand around and chat. I'd love to hear all the feedback from the new build! Im so excited!!! Squeeeee!!!!!

Too bad Build 8 won't be available until in the morning at some time. Tipsy playing can be fun, even though I'm not allowed to drink anymore. Poor me.

Wow, it's been a long time since the last adventure time with Bonny.

Possibly not a bad time to revive them and get folks back on the server so you crash test it a lot more before EE ;)

Goblin Squad Member

Agreed, and the Escalations all around have gotten quite bad.

Goblin Squad Member

Wasn't for Stephens interaction with my odd postings, I would have begun to suspect they all had been abducted by aliens ...

The but it may be my patch withdrawal symptoms that are affecting me ...

Goblin Squad Member

We have yet to hear from GW,
if they are going to revive Adventure Time with Bonny?

As it would help keep the interest high while we wait for EE.

I'm still working on a good time to do this. I might end up waiting until I'm in a better location to live stream. That's really what I've been waiting on. I cant be yelling and stuff sitting right next to Ryan lol. Soon though... SOON!!!!

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks for the heads up Bonny,

And glad you wish to continue Adventure time to rise our spirits and moral around PFO.

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

Of course!!! I love doing that kind of stuff!

I think streaming from your current work location is a great way to get an office to yourself.

Goblin Squad Member

Though If adventure time is going to be restarted, it should restart near the center of the map so it's more fair to those settlements near the edges and corners.

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

You guys crack me up! Soon guy! I promise :)

Well Christmas is coming, and it's an opportune time for some Adventure Time.

Heck, we could do a New Years Special

Yes, a fat wizard wearing some ugly red armor is riding around the River Kingdom on a flying reindeer led chariot, dropping mysterious boxes wrapped in gaudy colors.

We'll need archers to bring him down, melee types to dispatch him, and porters to haul away all the loot!
