Be there or be Square!

Tonight, 6pm PDT Right Here.

You "jumped the shark" with that one. It is inextricably "square" to use the expression, "Be there or be Square". It is as bad as watching "Joanie loves Chachi" and using the word "Groovy".

Just a tip from your friend Bluddwolf...

"Peace Out, Mother F'ers, Yo!!"

Goblin Squad Member

Geewillikers! I don't know about that. It seems peachy keen to me.

I will never stop using Groovy.

HAIL TO THE KING!

Goblin Squad Member

Far out, man.

Goblin Squad Member

Haha, Bludd! Up your nose with a rubber hose! :P

Goblin Squad Member

Man. How that one has changes over the years.

Goblin Squad Member

I don't want to know :p

Golly good, my fine dude.

I'll be around for about the first hour of Adventure Time, if I get it downloaded in time (which seems likely—about 450 MB left).

Goblin Squad Member

Excited to join in for the first time myself :).

Let's try for 200 viewers

Goblin Squad Member

We need another 30 viewers to get an alpha raffle

Goblin Squad Member

We are at 75 viewers, need 25 more

Goblin Squad Member

Well, many of us ended up with -4000 or less Rep due to the twitchy targeting system, if you use a mouse for moving your view.

Fortunately I learned enough from building my first toon to Rogue 7 that it took me less than 1/3 the time to reroll a second Rogue to that same level.

I'm leaving Bluddwolf in-game overnight to see how much he recovers in the next 6 hours. He started at -7500. I'll check again in about 6 hours.

CEO, Goblinworks

Not 100% sure but close that you won't regen Rep unless you actually move around while logged in.

Goblin Squad Member

If rep regen is only while online and moving I foresee a lot of characters doing carefully randomized scripted wandering in circles around the safeholds.

That darn guard might of skewed your results. ;)

No, as a matter of fact, the guard killing me keeps me active in the game. You don't lose rep for dying only for attacking.

Rep now = -6794 down from -7490 in a bit over 4 hours

Goblin Squad Member

One of the guys on TS last night said he was just standing AFK in town while he was at work and gained a ton of Reputation by the time he got home. The "active" requirement may not be functioning properly.

That might be so, I'll check my other toons who have not been online and see what their Rep is.

That was part of my suggestion for changes for the Reputation System. But until then you can enjoy Bluddwolf get killed by guards a few hundred times in Sotterhill.

I'm waiting for my post on the Alpha Forum to get some response. So I'm holding off floating the idea here.

Not sure if you meant something else, but the char has to be online at least, I'm fairly certain.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah. You have to be online at least. I still have poor reputation when I checked this morning. I apologize to those I accidently shot during the crazy fights!

Note to GW staff

For the people getting into alpha recently, if we will be testing higher level goods, perhaps there could be a less "welfare-line" method of distributing gear? If nothing else, a couple more people with gear, or replacing the auto-starting gear with something t2 or t3? Also, to avoid the leveling chicken-dance, I wonder if perhaps some temporary character options could be created that come with many essential feats and achievements in place, and equipment to match?

Welfare line? I rather enjoyed handing out goodies to everyone :) Be prepared for the next iteration! T2 will NOT be needed lol! (I know evil plans!)

Goblin Squad Member

I thought it was rather like Halloween, awaiting the fall of candy into my bag.

@ Bonny
Any chance you can lower viewer count minimum for the Alpha raffle.
Like between 75 to 90 viewers, not 100.

As I think other PFO interested folks are jumping onto other alpha player twitch feeds during your Adventure time.

-----------

Though to confirm that would require the other twitching alphas to re-direct their viewers to the Goblinworks one on Friday during Bonny's adventure time.

Scarab Sages

I have a lot of resources and give them to some crafters here and there often... Got some spared armors from Nihimon but still waiting some +n greatsword or bow... :D

I'm holding now, for trade to a rogue kit and rogue weapons ;)

Goblin Squad Member

The only issue I saw concerning the Bonny-T2-giveaway was the time it took to accomplish, biting out a good-sized chunk of the Adventure Time yumminess.

That was exactly what I was thinking. Anything that sped the process would have been good.

Goblin Squad Member

Of course, the trade-bug certainly did no one any favours.

Goblinworks Executive Founder

A strange way to speed the process up would be to give a stack of weapons to someone, who equips one and passes the stack to the next person who wants that one.

Our very own phoning tree. "Here's three heavy swords and three sets of heavy armour. Go find two other people who want them."

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

LOL We could have done it that way, but the trading was bugged out. I am hoping that is fixed for the next time.

Goblin Squad Member

Everyone should try to pass the word about the one "workaround" that seemed to help: only one player should initiate a trade. When both players tried to trade with one another, trouble.

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

Jazz that really wasnt the issue. It was not letting my put anything into the trade window after 4 or 5 trades. We are working on it though!!

Goblin Squad Member

Bonny,

Has targeting been addressed as it relates to accidental PC targeting when using mouse for viewing, turning or trait activation for traits in skill tray?

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

Bludd,

That's something I would ask in a separate thread or on the Alpha forums/bug thread. I'm sure that people wont be looking in "Adventure Time with Bonny" to find out about accidental targeting via mouse viewing :)

We will not be lowering the amount of viewers for an alpha access giveaway :) We will be giving away an Alpha Access every 100 viewers.

Is there some confusion? I read no show this Friday the 22nd, and Ryan writing about the show this week (in the blog).

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

Sorry about that guys, it's been a hectic month with all the summer events going on. Ryan and I are actually doing a live stream on Saturday with another company, so there won't be a Friday ATwB this week. Next week is pax prime so I will not be live streaming then either. I hope that clears up the confusion.

I've also changed it to every other Friday so we can do either Thursday or Saturday on the opposite weeks in order to stream at different times to get alpha players from overseas involved as well.

No problem. I am sad though. It's my first alpha week.

Have a good run on Saturday!

This week join ATwW woohoo fun times will be had. Will sound more Australian than ATwB but meh.

Grand Lodge PFO Community Manager

Don't forget guys. Tomorrow!!!!

Adventure Time with Bonny is a 3 hour block of live streaming awesomeness, where I go on random adventures, learn to play the game (since I'm a noob) and involve the community in some "scheduled" testing events.
