I was about to chime in with the Mummy reference, as that's how I pronounce it too.
However, what you wrote isn't how I remember them pronouncing it in that movie. I thought they pronounced it "ah-MEN-o-fis"...?

I've always gone with Egyptian naming conventions when pronouncing his name. "Amen-OAF-ee-us."
Repeated viewingsOf course, since no one has ever heard spoken Egyptian, I've had to steal my pronunciation from repeated viewings of The Mummy.
But that's what I go with, and I completely commit to it. My confidence in that pronunciation has even gotten GM's to change the way they pronounce it.
