Hello Darcnes, hello Dagedai Alliance!
TL;DR: can I place a vote for, and a crafter alt in your town?
Good to see a Town that will focus on Trade (amongst other things) do so well. I also congratulate you on securing a great location.
I'll come straight to the point: I would like to "place"(not a great word) my third(and last) Early Enrollment Trade/Craft character in Dagedai. Would you accept Free Agents in the sense that he would not belong to any Company? He would off course abide by your rules, be non-aggressive (I am not much of PvP adept anyway)and of True Neutral alignment.
I have one of these already in Callambea and Freevale. Freevale is the Town that I am supporting from an OOC player view, but my characters in all 3 towns would be focussed on crafting and trade. It is what I love to do most, I can literally browse an Auctionhouse for hours on end.
My main goal with these traders/crafters would be to cover a variety of markets, so I can work with several dedicated crafters (twins) and have a large variety in available ingredients. Dagedai for instance is in Croplands, something that Freevale currently does not have.
I have some grand plan that you can read about here River Kingdoms Trading Company but do take that with a grain of salt for now. Lots depends on game mechanics still TBD, and I may find it too much of a hassle after a while.
What I *do* know is that I love crafting and trading. I have a 7x300 Master Artisan in Everquest. I just love to collect the ingredients and such. And if Fast Travel is implemented, and running a courier between cities is a viable thing to do, I would like to trade between our cities too, bringing goods from High Supply to High Demand areas (a very popular activity, I expect).
I do not plan on joining a Sponsored Trade Company: I am sure I will tag on to a Caravan a few times, but it would probably not be my main focus. Just do not want to create false expectations in that regard. I do plan on having what I call a "High Hitpoint" character, since calling it a Fighter Alt would be besides the truth: I should learn to fight in PvP first. This character I will make in Freevale.
So what I could bring to the city of Dagedai is: lots of buying ingredients (trade-tax for Dagedai)and selling my crafted wares(again, tax); I would be bringing in crafted goods and ingredients from other towns; a friendly, neutral character that would increase your DI.
And if you manage to get my attention away from the Marketplace- or Crafter-UI, a friendly chat!

Hello Darcnes, hello Dagedai Alliance!
TL;DR: can I place a vote for, and a crafter alt in your town?
Tyncale, TL;DR yes.
We are actively inviting any who wish a presence in a trading hub to have a representative placed with us. Be it a massive settlement or a single individual. Likewise Dagedai exists to give a home to any who find our structure matches their needs, be it company or character. The majority of our population so far is actually single characters that wish to be part of what we are building.
We would be glad to have you, and happy to discuss specifics of supply and demand to better support the realm.

Hey folks, interest has been expressed for a secondary company (since we can being to 2 extra non-sponsored companies) that networks traders sooner than I had anticipated!
Without further ado, please take a look here.
Just to reiterate, this is meant to be a second or third company for trade oriented characters.

Blood Dragon, glad to see you!
We are very interested in not only non aggression between us, but jointly securing our parts of the north south road to promote active and safe trade in our neck of the... plains.
We expect a great deal of trade to be passing through and would love for you to be a part of it.
I pm'd you a couple of other ideas, really looking forward to having you as neighbors.
Please do not hesitate if you have any questions or ideas that we can help with!

I have received your message and passed along your ideas to my team. We will naturally need a chance to discuss internally before making any decisions, but I am grateful for this chance at open dialogue and future joint development.
Respectfully,
BD

Vaith! Great to have ya ;)
Any idea what you want to play?
Crafting and trading is something that I want to play. It's too early to tell at this point. Of course, I'll have a better idea of what I want to do once I'm in the game.
Sorry if that sounds too vague but that's how I see it.

Hi all -
I'm Theocrat Issak and PFSTheocrat for PFS and in PFO. I backed the Tech Demo at the $100 level and PFO at the $100 level as a first day backer with a total of $250 (for the print add-on and another $50 for character beenies). I'm based out of Las Vegas, NV, and was the founding PFS Venture-Captain for the Las Vegas Lodge (one of the first 12 VC's). I was very active in PFS until 2012 and only attend PFS conventions in LA with VC Robyn Nixon.
I'm a newbie for online games for the most part. I played City of Heroes for about two years on the (I think it was) the Libtery server where I was the co-founder and leader of the Healer Union SG. Under my leadership our ranks swelled, I owned and maintained our Web site, and our SG was very well known. I can't quite remember but I believe we were rated the #1 Guild for a while on the forums, for filling in for requests and players that were supportive of one another. As Healers was the primary role for our members, we accepted all roles, as Healers need protectors. After my time with the HU, I pretty much left MMO's and most games in general. I was too busy with 3.5 and later with the launch of Pathfinder.
So my experience in MMO gaming is limited, so I don't know what to ask and or offer in my request to join the guild. I played Star Trek Online for about 3-6 months but it wasn't my cup of tea. I don't actively play many video games - playing only Civ IV and V for the most part when I have some free time.
For PFO, I intend to play a Cleric of Abadar type character. I am not a PVP'er, it's just part of my core belief as a person. I don't like ruining other peoples hard work (I even have a hard time killing PC's in our home game, I will, but won't just do it to do it).
I'm unsure of what is needed to maintain membership or what you're looking for. I'm happy to discuss it with leadership here or in email for what is need to join.
My home gaming group has a member that lives in the UK and plays via Skype during our 2nd and 4th Saturday games at my house. But he is also a member of PFO and is also looking to join a guild. As are several other members of my gaming group, thus I could potentially bring an additional 3-6 players to the group.
Please feel to contact me at PFSTheocrat at Google's email. Or you can check out my FB page at /issak. Most of my posts are pretty generic except I post quite often pictures of our home game setup and what I do for my players.
Thanks,
Theocrat Issak

hello
this might actually be my first post in these forums, i'm not a big forum person. :o)
i am one of Theocrat's players (the one in the UK) and just applied via goblinworks to Dagedai Alliance.
have toyed with the idea on whether to join a guild or stay solo, but i do like the idea have having online friends/partners to play with. i played WOW basically solo with pickup groups now and then. played DDO a lot more (still have an account there but haven't played in some time) and for awhile was with Loreseekers guild (booted due to the aforementioned non-activity). main char was a cleric so was constantly being asked to join groups :o)
had thought about trying to get a tavern/inn as a poi, or blacksmith shop...not sure how it all will really work or how often would need to log in to make it productive.
wanted to ask, what will the taxes be used for? out of the handful of other guilds i looked at this is the only one that had a tax rate listed and don't see a description of its intended use. just curious!
first char will more than likely be a cleric

Welcome to the boards kiddtaylor!
I think you'll find that if you try to remain a solo player without joining any companies, you'll be in for a rough play time. Pathfinder Online is trying to differ from other MMO's in requiring inter-player interactions for a character to succeed.
That being said, there are companies out there whose aim is to connect players who are all playing basically solo playstyles. Because you can be part of up to three companies I'd encourage you to keep looking at other groups, even if you plan on being a citizen of Dagedai.

so how does that work with the different companies? is dagedai a company or a guild?
can a account have only 3 characters in companies? or each account can be member of 3 companies only and can have as many char's in those companies?
its all a bit overwhelming haha
Dagedai is a settlement; you can join one company that is a part of Dagedai (which is a "sponsored company", just means it belongs to a settlement), and then join up to 2 other companies that are not sponsored by a settlement. Each character can have up to 3 companies, and each character on an account is completely separate for that purpose (in most situations you should treat 2 characters on one account as if they are on separate accounts).
I realise it can be overwhelming to understand all the info when you're just starting out; don't be afraid to keep asking questions!

Welcome kiddtaylor, glad to have you!
Shane is spot on, Dagedai is a settlement rather than the traditional collection of people one associates with the term guild. They finally made some clarifications on this, but it is still a matter of great confusion to many.
Dagedai is the place you would call home, and a company is the group of people you most frequently associate with.

so if you can only join 1 'guild' how do you also join 3 companies?
and in that posting you linked they talked about the guilds consolidating. but then they would only get 1 settlement area wouldn't they?
it looked like dagedai's symbol was a settlement right by an npc town. am i looking at the right one? if so, anyone know what npc town that will be?

![]() |

Guilds are not actually an in-game construct. They recycled the term to mean collection of groups supporting a settlement during the landrush. Once the landrush is over, supposedly we will not see the term guild any longer.
So with that in mind, yes, you can only be part of one guild, since you can only throw your support behind one settlement.
Companies are an in-game construct, and so that is where you will see limit of three, only one of which can be sponsored.
You are correct, we are located in the SW corner of the map, next to Fort Inevitable.

Another point. Goblinworks is just using the term "guild" for the Land Rush because it is something that the general public can more easily identify with. In the game:
-Party means what it always has. It can be a Pug and as ad hoc as you like or not. Probably around a max of 6 people. For short term goals.
-Company. A group with no set limit but will be most effective with 50 or less members. Can be focused- i.e. Trade, PVE, gathering, mercs, assassins, or a mix of anything. I believe that "Chartered" is out (or just a term for "formed" with an in game charter) and that "Sponsored" means tied to a settlement. A single character may be a member of up to three Companies but only one of those Companies can be a "sponsored" Company. Every character has to and can be a member of only one Settlement so that makes sense.
-Settlement. A group of Companies (could even be one), individuals, or a mix that build a settlement.
-Nations or Empires. Two, several, or more Settlements that join together.

Finally got around to setting up forums. They're functional, but currently a work in progress.
That said, feel free to stop by and say hi!

Hi Darcness. "crafter3" here. :) The layout is a bit odd, but I guess that is just old habits. Have you considered something like guildlaunch.com? I will admit that the free version has some ads but the functionality is pretty incredable. Also the storage options for the free version are minimal so that could be a hurdle.
I whipped up this, including the custom Guildbanner in like 15 minutes:
The River Kingdoms Trading Company
Can add forums all you like and totally alter the layout of the site too. The free version comes with chat and all.
The 7 dollar a month option already has a lot more, like 10GB storage, own domain and such, but I would not start paying anything if your current website is free.
I sound like an add myself. :( Anyway, just wanted to give my input. :)
