ran the install as administrator

had to launch a few times to get it as far as the Loading terrain screen but it just sat there....forever. i found in another thread that with only 4GB ram could be an issue and to run this command:
bcdedit /set increaseUserVa 3072
so i killed the pathfinder.exe process and ran that command (with admin cmd prompt) and relaunched. i now get to the Loading terrain screen and after a little while it just closes and pathfinder.exe disappears from the task manager.

windows 7 32 bit, 4 GB ram

updated video drivers NVidia NVS 4200M to current (2014) driver

is my system just not good enough to run the game or is something else going on?

so if you can only join 1 'guild' how do you also join 3 companies?

and in that posting you linked they talked about the guilds consolidating. but then they would only get 1 settlement area wouldn't they?

it looked like dagedai's symbol was a settlement right by an npc town. am i looking at the right one? if so, anyone know what npc town that will be?

that definitely helps clear the waters some!
is sponsored and chartered the same thing? i see that audacity is a chartered company and dagedai is listed as 'operated by' audacity, does that mean audacity is a sponsored company?

so how does that work with the different companies? is dagedai a company or a guild?
can a account have only 3 characters in companies? or each account can be member of 3 companies only and can have as many char's in those companies?

this might actually be my first post in these forums, i'm not a big forum person. :o)
i am one of Theocrat's players (the one in the UK) and just applied via goblinworks to Dagedai Alliance.
have toyed with the idea on whether to join a guild or stay solo, but i do like the idea have having online friends/partners to play with. i played WOW basically solo with pickup groups now and then. played DDO a lot more (still have an account there but haven't played in some time) and for awhile was with Loreseekers guild (booted due to the aforementioned non-activity). main char was a cleric so was constantly being asked to join groups :o)
had thought about trying to get a tavern/inn as a poi, or blacksmith shop...not sure how it all will really work or how often would need to log in to make it productive.
wanted to ask, what will the taxes be used for? out of the handful of other guilds i looked at this is the only one that had a tax rate listed and don't see a description of its intended use. just curious!
