Oh my, the skalds are at it again. My time with the ulfen was a brief decade or so, but I did learn that their celebrations are second to none. Several weeks are still...fuzzy, from the feast after I felled this fellow. He pats a large wolf pelt thrown over one shoulder.

If not, I can provide waffles, and I believe the approproate time for waffles is "all of the time."
I like the way you think!
So are his trail rations just boxes of eggo's or something? Not that I mind. I'm just trying to figure out if i need to supplement my dietary needs on the road to include waffly goodness.
My emergency rations are a delightful invention of the wee folk they call wandermeal. It weighs little and is very filling, but it is certainly no substitute for a grand feast and prolonged consumption can make you ill. Or it makes me ill at least. I suppose I haven't tested this on anyone else yet...but I digress, certainly. As for the waffles, I carry a waffle iron to bake them, which works quite well even over a campfire. The mix, I carry in a pouch, and as long as we can find a fresh source of water, waffles can be less than an hour away. Does that answer your inquiry, my dear?
Only an hour... *Looks down at hand, small flames appearing on the fingertips* I could probably speed up your cook time?

Remarkable! Do you also, by chance, possess the ability to conjure water on demand? That would prove to be quite the boon.

"No other people can drink like the Ulfen, and their battle-songs are second to none. Even reading the transcripts makes me shiver!" The bard chuckles, absent-mindedly tuning his violin as he speaks. "What are these waffles you keep speaking of? I'm afraid we didn't have such things where I grew up. Are they anything like oliphaunt ears?"

Water on demand? What do I look like, a fountain?

El Ronza - You've never had Waffles!! How has this food not infiltrated your lands yet? If you ever come to Kentucky I'm making you waffles! It's awesome.

Well despite your exquisite resemblance to some of the finest artistry to be seen in the decorative waterworks of Oppara, I deduce that that was not your meaning. I mean no offense, my dear. I was thinking only of the utility of being able to both evoke fire and conjure water to the culinary arts.

The aforementioned comment is met with stunned silence and blushing. Followed by a hasty retreat from culinary space.

Nope, never had waffles. I've had plenty of pancakes, but never waffles. There's a place in Adelaide that makes Belgian waffles, but since I'm usually broke, all I can do is gaze longingly through the window.

I've got a better idea. How about you come to South Australia and make me waffles? :P

I believe they are similar, yes, although it has been several decades since I have had an oliphaunt ear. The batter is largely the same, with perhaps minor regional variance. The method of cooking is different, but both confections are quite delicious.

Alrighty...

You guys made it very difficult for me, because I liked a lot of the characters. Enough so that I considered running two games, but with a baby soon to get here, I don't think that would be the wisest of things for me to do.

That being said, I am going to be sorry to see so many of you go, but I have made my decisions:

Feora Morningtide
Olivius Telraven
Horatio Aldebrandt
Twig Arborfwisk and Fligg

I hate turning the rest of your away at this point, but perhaps I will run another in the near future or once this one is done, I'll run Wardens (which I would LOVE to see Zerit in, particularly) and with that said...I have to go start a game!

May I congratulate those of you accepted! Waffles, perhaps, another time.

It sounds like you had people already lined up for this and had this as a way to act like you didn't.

Yay! Thanks! I was kinda nervous about getting in or not.

Happy Day! Thank you muchly. This should be quite fun.

Dark Archive

I shall keep him reserved specifically for you GM Hills. I dearly love his story and concept. I want to play him at some point.

I'm sorry you feel that way Gnick Gnak, but the only person who had a spot in this was the one who isn't listed (My wife). That said, good luck in the other games you are applying for.

Good luck you guys and have fun! :)

All the best, folks!

Congrats to all those selected.

Happy gaming!

Dark Archive

Have fun all! Do it grand! And GM, just message me when you'd like to see Zerit again.

Even though I didn't apply, I will say congrats to those that did, and especially those that made it in. You all are in for a fun time. I'm in one of GM Hill's other campaigns, and definitely there are good things to come.

Sovereign Court

Thanks for the consideration and enjoy your game!
