Saw my item. I don't think I'll be in the top 32. I like what my item does, but it isn't exactly flashy or "wow". It does something that no other spell, item or ability in the game does to my knowledge, but maybe it is something that no one really feels a need for.
Maybe I'm just pessimistic.
First weapon I've seen. Sure, I've seen a couple that could also be weapons, but this, this definitely is a weapon.
I can't even narrow down all the things that are wrong with this item.

And... that item doesn't do what it thinks it does, and doesn't do what it sets the reader up to think that it will do, but the construction requirements actually sortof make sense for what it actually does.

Sortof. See the FAQ. There's nothing involving the content of the items - it's just paring item IDs according to its logic.
No item needs this long of a recharge time.
I'm seeing lots of outer space related items. To the best of my recollection, they are all fairly interesting.

Is there an attempt to put up similarly themed items to vote on? Before I got two horse-based items, and now too ooze themed ones.
I don't play spellcasters much, so maybe I'm just out of the loop, but is casting from scrolls really such a big thing that it needs to have some kind of auto-fire function? I've seen at least two, possibly three items that do this job.

I feel bad whenever I see an item that uses the metric measurements. I want to say "You're right, you're so right - but the setting doesn't understand you"...

Hmm... I've seen a number of food items, and others that describe themselves in terms of food. I'm getting hungry.
When viewing two items with approximately the same word count, especially if it's a long word count, I find myself picking the one with the more interesting name.
This cooking item reads more like a recipe.
