Just out of curiousity, what's your favorite TT class and why? Mine so far has been the Inquisitor. She started off going to be the bounty hunter, but ended up more as the tank of the group. Spells and judgements to augment fighting, team work feats which included escape route etc. to allow my group mates to maneuver with out AoO. Team work feats solo. To bad it was tied to a god.

If I were not going to concentrate on being a humble helpless merchant adrift in an ocean of bandits and self righteous knights who seek to impose their morality on a man merely trying to make an honest living.....
then my eye would probably be caught by the gunslinger as suiting a cigar smoking dwarf right down to the ground

I'm a fan of inquisitors though I've never played one. Just seems like a very cool concept. I've been most successful with rangers. They are a great class for dishing out damage if you build them right but also have a lot of other applications like scouting and tracking.
In PFO I'll likely go with something fast or stealthy due to the big time advantage of being able to ambush/chase down opponents or retreat/avoid detection based on the situation. Ranger and barbarians both seem like powerful choices but barbarians seem a bit overly simplistic while I enjoy the complexity of a ranger and melee generally isn't my style in a tab targeted game. I'd absolutely love an inquisitor but who knows how long we'll be waiting before that comes out.
I'll make my final choice as we learn more about the game though.

I've not played pathfinder TT yet. I hope to do so. I've skimmed the core rule book and have to say I'm happy with all the classes which will become roles in PFO.
Keovar provided a list of the additional ones and I have to say on first impressions I'm not a fan of most of those making it to PFO.
What I'd prefer is having the core ones and expanding the other types of skill-training going on in the game around the core as much as possible.
I know I'm not directly answering the question above, but if setting out for the TT game a Druid catches my eye the most: Talking to animals, flying like a bird, breathing underwater like a fish... these capture my imagination!

I love the oracle - very flavorful class, and very versatile in what you can make of it. I think my favorite build has to be an Oracle of Ancestors, Spirit Totem Barbarian, into Rage Prophet: though obviously not the most mechanically superior build ever, it has some nice synergies, the concepts mesh perfectly, and it's just fun to play.

I've played a little bit of everything but I think my favorite is probably Sorcerer (I'm really looking forward to trying out Arcanist). I'm a huge fan of spell casting in general.
The highest level character I've played in PF was an Inquisitor, so that's a close second for me, with Summoner following shortly thereafter.
The only non-casting class that I kind of enjoy is Cavalier and maybe Barbarian. My friends play Fighter and Rogue without fail so I rarely try to fill those niches in the party.
Also hi, this is my first post in the PFO section.

Summoner and Witch. Both classes that will never see PFO. Even if it's successful, there's just so many other things for the devs to do. Creating the eidolon is a lot of fun and offers different playstyles. The Witch always has options in any combat. To me, a minion such as the eidolon or animal companion are such force multipliers that there would be restrictions on what else you could slot along with them for game balance. Or they would be severely nerfed, which would make them useless anyway. Perhaps the Druid only could have a summon ability good for a couple times a day and then if you concentrated on refresh abilities for it you could have a sort of 'beastmaster'.

@Imbicatus Shaman should be a druidic barbarian, wouldn't it?
That's the Pathfinder interpretation, but not the one from the 3.5 "Dragon Shaman". Basically, the dragon shaman was a cleric but instead of worshiping a god, they revered a specific Dragon type. They couldn't cast spells, but they could harness a dragon's aura of greatness to create auras that healed, awed, or granted power to allies, and they could use a draconic breath weapon to fight their enemies.
It was a very versatile class, similar in a lot of ways to a Bard, cleric, or paladin.

Archaeologist Bard. I dislike how Rogues have to have Sneak Attack, but Magic Traps and Locks are treated as secondary to their role despite being almost exclusively a Rogue feature. But I love bards so the Archaeologist works out for me.
And the fact that you can take Exotic Weapon Proficiency "Firearms" and Whip Mastery feats is a nice touch. ;)

Summoner.
The only challenge is trying not to ruin the DMs plans. I'm not really a min/max type player but the the summoner can call forth just about anything to counter whatever is thrown at the party.
Mostly I like rebuilding the eidolon each level. No other class gets to do so much every time they level.

I don't know if I can really call a favorite, all of my characters have a lot of personality and all around awesomeness that doesn't come from a class.
One that I am currently playing is a Half-Orc Sorcerer (Elemental Water Bloodline) with max ranks in Intimidation.
My most famous however is an Elf Fighter/Rogue/Wizard that started back in AD&D and progressed through 3.0 and 3.5 into Pathfinder. He's led an interesting life to say the least.
I can find a lot of fun in any class and tend to multi-class with most characters.

My most recent character was a gnome summoner. The GM moved north 500 mile, so that did not get very far. But it was most interesting.
Over the past 40 years I have played more clerics than anything else, with rogue a second; sometime a mixed cleric/rogue with focus on the charisma skills (bluff, diplomacy, disguise, intimidate), wisdom skills (perception, sense motive and survival), and core knowledge skills (religion and arcana, planes, and/or history) for for cleric. As the cleric/rogue ages the direction shifts accordion to developing story.
As summoner will not happen (very hard on programming --I expect the conjuration will not have summon <animal/monster/being> implementation), cleric may be a focus. The non-traditional classes may also have attraction (soldier, administrator, crafter) but only as side to a classic character.
As EE is rolled out, there will be NPC providing harvest(gathering) and product(crafting). At some point some of us in EE will need to do this.. maybe DT, though I had hoped to hold DT for later when other race and role options become available.

Id have to go with Magus as my favorite class. Partly because Ive always liked mixing swords AND sorcery, instead of swords OR sorcery :P Plus its got some fond memories of an absolutely epic campaign with some awesome role-playing moments. Im currently playing a Witch (Scarred Witch Doctor) and I must say that despite not rolling any stat over a 12 (4d6 even!) Im finding it to be a fun class to play.
I like playing stealthy classes but I find its difficult to get the most out of them unless your entire group is built for it (whether skill or magic) because going in solo tends to be a one-way trip to the grave (we often play with no resurrection or extremely prohibitive resurrection).

I played the witch when they first came out. He ended up with such bad luck on rolls that he sucked and I retired him before the end of that campaign. They seem like a great class though. I also ran a summoner and its a close third. The pet had 15 foot reach with pull feat and combat reflexes. He was our front line guy lol. Running a Life Oracle right now as the healer in a group. Hes out to find the cure to his wasting disease <oracle's curse>. My next is going to be the knife master with kukris.

Ranger. Was my favorite all the way back to 1E AD&D up to Pathfinder.
I enjoy playing the stealth and stalking type that is a good bonus to group adventures but is capable of going solo when necessary.
Fighting style is my preferred method too. Will often focus on sniping in the beginning of combat and will go into melee to provide assistance to any melee types in the group to finish off the foes.

Rogue and Wizard is actually a pretty common combo... and a reasonable one. Throw Paladin in there and it's an abomination! lol
Edit: I also think I'm going to try out a Bones Mystery Oracle. That looks koo..

Thief has always been my favourite. Not the twin sword with venom encrusted blade rogue from modern RPGs, but a true thief in cheap padded leather and a long bladed dagger who can never seem to keep what he acquires.
My favourite characters are Gord the Rogue, The Grey Mouser, Conan the Thief, Jimmy the Hand, Matt Cauthon, Bilbo Baggins, Han Solo and Arya Stark.

I did once make a Paladin/Sorcerer build back in 3.0. I was very new to the game and figured "hey they're both charisma based". Ya, didn't work so well. Granted the DM was a little rough on PCs so even good builds met quick deaths.
I played a Rogue/Paladin once and it actually worked out really well. It was like an Inquisitor before they came out with the Inquisitor class.

Gunslinger, hands down.
All of my favorite characters have been more traditional classes, but the gunslinger as a class is just way more interesting to me than any other. The game needs more options for more modern gun though. For me gun fantasy involves nothing less advanced than a revolver.
Though if you could get full sized Dinosaurs, Druid with the Saurian Shaman Archetype would jump right to the top.

Monk, I've rolled up a Martial Artist, an Underfoot Adept, and a Drunken master before. (CG, LG, NG, thanks to the Aasimar racial trait for Agathions).
Rogue/Ninja/Gunslinger are close behind. Ninja/MysteriousStranger being a personal favorite combo, Ki Pool and Grit Synergy with touch and flatfooted invisible strikes, and Charmisma rolls. I accidentally rolled up Deadpool.
