She is our first.

We now have several 4's (I earned my 4th Saturday as well) so we hope to see some more popping up in the near future. :)

This is that post, the one where we talk about mountain retreats, and well-stocked larders, and yeti being tormented by men wearing Dragnmoon's colors.

I look forward to playing at your table at some point.

Tell us a story: who's the best GM you've seen, and what made him or her so good?

What's the 5-Star population these days? We're like fleas on a Katapeshi beggar. Congratulations, fellow Pulex!

Welcome to the Five Star Club, Kristie! The view from the mountain is great, you almost can't see the corpses of the dead PCs you piled up to get past the steep sections of the climb. The glittering Lake of Player's Tears is breathtaking once you can see the whole thing.

And don't say I was the best GM you ever saw when I ran you through Blood Under Absalom at GenCon a few years ago, because that was NOT the best run game ever. We've come a long way since then, haven't we...

Better get that addition started to the mountain top. I'm coming. :-)

P.S. Congratulations Kristie!

Same here, just waiting for the 4th star to appear after this weekend's reporting.

And with various cons and other things 5 is not that far away. :)

[shudder]

Can we enact a VO quarantine around San Antonio? I hear there are chupacabras the size of tigers down there. Mike should put out a travel advisory to be on the safe side.

Congratulations

EDIT: just saw the fifth star in my post - SQUEEE!

Thanks to all for the welcomes and congratulations. I think its a good sign that 150 games in and I still really enjoy GMing. :)

@Chris - Best GM ever...I've played with so many good ones (and I immediately steal all of their best stuff). Locally, Matt Tjarks and Andy Berger are two of my favorites that spring to mind. Both enjoy the game, take GMing seriously - but not themselves.

Best ever GM would have to be my husband (its part of why I married him) because he always sets out to tell a story and he knows how to shine the spotlight on each player in turn.

@Dan - Blood Under Absalom WAS a long time ago. You did a good enough job for me to remember you, and to keep coming back to PFS - we definitely had fun...and I stole some of your stuff too when I ran it again later. :)

Congratulations, Kristie. It's awesome to see you so excited. (-:

Kristie, congratulations! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this thread... Five stars doesn't give credit to all you do for PFS in Florida!

Cheers,
