Word came out in February and again in April that a new Farscape film was in the works. Don't know if that means "big screen" or not... but it could happen.
Yeah, and while this latest news seems a bit more solid than the past rumors, I'll believe a Farscape movie is happening once principle photography on it wraps.

I seem to remember AoS had been originally ordered by ABC with fewer episodes and didn't get the full order of 22 episodes until sometime after production was underway. If that's the case--and I can't locate where I originally read that--it wouldn't easily explain the season's unevenness before the last several episodes.
Ok, Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I liked it, overall. I liked the real Whedon-style show in the last 5 episodes. Anyone can die; everyone's a bad guy at one point or another; all I need is Ward to look at Coulson and blurt out "The money was just TOO good Phil! The money was too good!" while Coulson puts him in an airlock and the circle would be complete.
Also 2 words: Patton Oswald. Everything this guy touches turns to gold in my opinion. I frickin LOVED him as an AoS and the weird twin-or-whatever thing bringing him back was Whedon, playing Stan Lee, playing Whedon, so kudos.
I would like a little more "super" in the show. Honestly I'm an unashamed super-hero fan. I don't just mean super powers, I mean ALL of it: underwear on the outside, masks, clichéd backstories... ALL of it. I genuinely felt for Deathlock and Ace. I would love more of that, but I suppose my inner child will just have to wait for more movies.
I don't know anything about Agent Carter. I haven't seen the Winter Soldier (I know: SACRILAGE!). I only know about the Guardians of the Galaxy because I saw the "Howard the Duck" like preview at a playing of Amazing Spider Man 2 (which, for the record, I did not care for. Toby McGuire is the superior Peter Parker and if you don't like my saying so then tough webshooters!) which my daughter insisted we see.
I guess my point is: I don't need tie-ins. The series seemed good enough to stand alone, if they'd just let it get all dark and Whedon-y. Of course, now that I've admitted that it'll probably get cancelled. I might as well go get my Browncoat out of mothballs now...

Networks look to make a show as long as it make enough money. That can come in many forms. There's various magic numbers for syndication, struggling shows that are close to those numbers may get another season (or abbreviated season) if syndication looks promising. Magic numbers include 4 seasons (88 episodes), 100 episodes (perhaps where 5 seasons comes from), and 65 episodes (13 weeks @ 5 episodes per week).
Factors that eat into a show's profit: declining ratings, growing cast, increasing cast salaries. Any of those can get a show scaled back or canceled. By no means exhaustive. But that's why you see aging shows cut back on cast, reduce the number of times each cast member appears in an episode, and shoot in cheaper locations. Can also be a factor behind replacing highly-paid cast members, though that's as often people wanting out.
Fox may indeed have the movie rights to several Marvel characters. Do they also have the television rights?It's not Marvel, but Marvel Studios that's the entity in question. Whatever Fox has the rights to, they can not use in any way, shape, or form and vice versa.

The Cartoons have been having quite a few crossovers for some time. Fantastic Four in Avengers: Earth's mightiest heroes... Ultimate Spiderman and the Avengers are in the same continuity... 'ulitmate' Nick Fury has been standard for some time in all the shows...

Yes, it would be nice to see a better take on Ghost Rider than the Nick Cage movies.I rather liked the first one, especially since it included the Original Ghost Rider. And it even gave a shoutout to the shotgun that the Riderless Johnny Blaze uses now.
I liked the first one, I thought they did a good job of merging the different Ghost Riders (70's Blaze, Ketch, and modern Blaze). I'd have liked it if one of the cops was Badalino, and I liked how they did the (Ketch era) Pennance Stare.
World of Ham or not, at least Cage loves his work. :-)
With the Phantom/Ghost Rider also having aspects of the Caretaker from the Ketch Era, I think they could have developed into more of the Midnight Sons from the 90's as well. (Darkhold would have made a good TV show format, and I'd love to have the Nightstalkers back. Give me Frank and 'Linda' please. :-))

That blue thingy does not look like a mommy that would yield something of Skye's hotness caliber... (you know what they say... always look at your girlfriend's mom as a substitute for the Augury spell... etc.)

If it's not an alien, then what is it? It appears to be humanoid and have blue skin. So far, we haven't introduced any other races existing on MCU Earth yet, so while it could be an Atlantean or an Inhuman, it's more likely an alien. Smart money is on Kree, but hey, Marvel could be throwing a curve ball.
Since we don't know the alien's race, we don't know anything about the differences they have in gender. Maybe they all look alike, but the blue-skinned ones are female and the red-skinned ones are male? Maybe the secondary sexual characteristics are reversed on this species? With only one creature - and one that couldn't speak to us at all at that - we can't make many assumptions about it.

Mainstream comics, movies and television hold the same principle: The females of a humanoid species have human secondary characteristics. At the very least breasts. It serves both as source of fanservice and because all mainstream companies believe the audience to be stupid. Things like you said would never happen in Marvel.
