If so, you're a cool person for knowing about that game.
As mentioned, you're still cool, but I have to point out that this sentiment is a kind of staggering pretentiousness in its own right.
But it's all good.

All I'm saying is that people who don't like what I like (or do like what I don't like) are wrong (or pretentious, or uninformed, or smelly, etc.). That sentiment is the foundation of the internet, and if it makes me pretentious for saying so, so be it. ;-)

My initial reaction to this news was that of "ugh oh"... I tend to not like Sci-Fi, at least not mixed w/ Fantasy.
But, I thought back to the Numeria depicted in City of the Fallen Sky, and I became more intrigued. This isn't a normal Sci-fi setting, but a land where Tech is present but VERY MUCH not under people's control. Think of it like kids finding a car, and thinking "That would work really well to tie our balloons to, so we don't need to hold them all the time!" Then one day someone finds the parking break, and half of them get run over.
Oh yeah, and it's run by gangsters. I'm now looking forward to seeing this in more detail...
That, and JJ has built up enough credibility to me that I think I'd trust him to make something very unique and awesome.

Okay, I know everyone's all up on Eva, but me myself I'm planning on playing a katana wielding badass monk who steals robots from his foes and powers his abilities not from ki, but from MANLY SPIRIT! JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!
In all seriousness, I'm really hoping we get a Summoner archetype that allows us to have a mechanical Eidolon. I've always loved the idea of a technomancer Summoner (I flavored one like that in one game), but having actual rules for it would be amazing.
Seriously, the name alone for this has got me hyped beyond all recognition, and I can't WAIT to play this path. Numeria has needed some love for a while, and the idea of getting cybernetic grafts, mechanized animal companions, and laser powered gunslingers is basically all I've wanted in life.

Well there probably be normal monsters in there too, so I buy the AP just for the pictures and maybe the bestiary, cuz in NO bestiary yet there were only monsters that suit the theme. + I heard somebody say there will be Brain Collectors, those are among my favorite monsters so there is probably still something to live foreward too.
Ahh the things you can do when you have money growing out of your boyfriends back, buying stuff only for the pictures is one example.
And what is it with all these extreme starwars fanboys here? Thanking JJ for this AP in his question topic? That is kinda a let-down for ALL other AP's cuz they didn't get that much attention from you robozerkers... :-p

this is why we can't have nice things :(

Oh there will be lasers. And plasma cannons. And robots. Don't worry, though. I'll be sure to tell you all the robots and technology that's statted up in the AP so you don't miss out on any of it :D

Why do lasers remind me of little 12 year old kids playing with their starwars toys so much?
Maybe if somebody breaks that thought for me I will start to grow on them myself eventually, for now i'm tortured by the thought of annoying childeren playing with annoying toys too much... :-D
Folks, this is what happens when you don't buy your kids toys.
Be nice.Buy your kid a toy.

I wouldn't bother with Sincubus. He's just mad because his anti sci-fi campaign has failed and we have robots and lasers coming up.
Now if only we could have giffs :D

There will also be Brain Collectors, so your robot-only dream will become a nightmare when you find out there still be normal monsters in there. :-D
That's actually the difference between you and us. We don't mind having both normal monsters and robots.
But don't forget. There will be Dominion of Black stuff. Which means we get robots AND aliens.
AWWWWW YEAAAAH

Odraude, could you think and speak for yourself for one post? or is that just another account of the talking bag i'm reading post from?
It's not bad to be fanboy of another poster, or wanting to be part of a group so bad, but sometimes it goes too far and the person forgets about his/her own being all together.
Ow another account just joined in, Orthos...

Yeah I am not really surprised by this
I am willing to bet the 2014 Gencon hardcover book is themed towards adding science fiction elements to Pathfinder. with pyschic magic classes, archetypes that take advantage of sci-fi themes, spaceship rules, maybe even a tinker type class.
I predicted this and Numeria a few weeks ago, and Numeria came to past...

Gorbacz wrote:After 14 more-or-less traditional fantasy APs, I think it's about time for a turn to the wild side :)Its pretty daring of Paizo to release a Tech-Fantasy AP to coincide with the launch of D&DNext.
It could be a + or - for them.
I think, it is daring and clever. They decided to provide an alternative. If they would publish a "classic" d&d campaign like rise of the runelords d&d fans might just grab the new and flashy d&d anyway. Now they show the world, that they have this world and system where you can make something else in addition to the classic campaigns pathfinder is already known for. Interesting approach in my opinion.

If there are fax machines... does that mean there's dubstep in Numeria?
MOTHER OF GOD!
Actually I correct my earlier prediction...the 2014 hardcover release will actually focus completely on using dubstep in Pathfinder, including new archetypes, and a new casting system using dubstep

And the Internet.
Alain would love MySpace.
Alain: "Kyra, hold my lance, I need to take a selfie for my myspace page real quick in front of this tavern."
Kyra: "We don't have time for this, Alain."
Alain: "Also, did you pick up on my innuendo about...holding my lance?"
Kyra: "You are such an as-LOOK OUT, ROBOTS WITH LASERS!"

I just think ol' Gancanagh is mad because we're getting robots before he gets his totally-not-lame-and totally real "sincubus" monster.
Whatever that's supposed to be ;)
I don't know what you mean by that, because Bestiary 4 is coming out in October, while this Robot AP is coming out next year, so I don't think you get your robots before my real-life monsters as many are already confirmed in Bestiary 4. :-)
Anyway have fun, i'm going to watch some True Blood now, hopefully there won't be robots in there too.

Oddly, I'm not really fond of Numeria in the overall setting myself, but I'm looking forward to this AP.
Settings that are basically fantasy with "Oh yeah, there's space aliens and high tech stuff too, over here in this corner but they don't really affect anyone's normal life" tend to bother me. One weird guy with high tech toys in a group of knights and wizards rubs me the wrong way.
An AP focused on a science fantasy (sub-)setting? That's cool. It's built into the campaign all along.

hmm, someone just got on the subject of iconics for this AP...
...
something tells me there's going to be a new artificer-like iconic
I mean, you know, you're going to want the barbarian in that picture, so, Amiri, Miriel just flip a coin and she shows up in an AP (the other side is the ninja iconic methinks, robots vs. ninjas ftw), some healer or other for spot #3 and, what, Rincewind? Tiffany Aching? No way: Gadget Hackwrench!
