Nesod: You feel a numbing sensation on your hand, but no damage as you attempt to turn the handle to no avail

(Welllll, I remember a thing or two about it... I also remember it being an absolutely awesome adventure)

"Hey, Nasty, you okay?"

Jenny: I am not using the BBEG in this one, that would be a bit of overkill

Liberty's Edge

To no avail?
"Nasty, try the other doorknob."

Sovereign Court

[baiting]Oh sure pawn it off on Nasty, just do it man[/baiting]

*Tie rope to handle (without touching handle). Run rope around same thing Jenny tied it to earlier. Pull on rope to open door.*

Liberty's Edge

"That's pretty clever, Liss."

OUR DM IS LIKE A DOORKNOB.

Liberty's Edge

How so?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I DON'T KNOW. I READ THAT ONE TIME SCRAWLED ON A BATHROOM WALL AND THEY DID NOT GO ON TO EXPLAIN.

Liberty's Edge

"Fascinating."

Sovereign Court

Well due to Alissa's clever ploy on the left door handle,(B00!) The door opens to reveal...

Behind The Gold Door:
A black granite wall

You all hear a cacophony of screaming. And you see the bridge do a 180 degree flip.

Catch rope!

Flailing arms: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Liberty's Edge

Mage Hand on the rope.

Detect Magic after the fact.

Sovereign Court

Jenny: You catch the rope

Nesod: You lift the rope, There is no new source of magic that has not been previously mentioned

*Tie rope to other handle. Repeat process.*

Sovereign Court

Alissa: As you attach the rope to the left handle, the bridge does a 180 degree flip and the black granite slab is still behind the door.

CAN WE MINE OUR WAY THROUGH THE GRANITE?

Sovereign Court

AMH: Nope, unless you feel like mining through an entire mountain. hmmmm. where should you go next

Liberty's Edge

I get on the bridge, wink, and lie down. "Take me for a spin, Liss."

Sovereign Court

Nesod: Welcome to the carnival Nesod! If you wish you may spin until you puke

OOC: Am Too watches the bridge flip with fascination.

"Close the door and try the left knob first. It's a transmutation effect."

Meanwhile, Am Too casts detect magic, from a safe position, again to see if we missed something.

OOC: Being Half-Dragon, how far does my vision extend into the darkness?

Sovereign Court

AMS: The transmutation magic flips the bridge.

Your detect magic detects nothing that has not been detected before

Hmmm. I'm going to guess the darkvision is 60'

Does it flip so NORTH is now SOUTH?
Or is TOP now BOTTOM?

"So... where do we go from here?"

MAYBE SOMEBODY SHOULD JUMP OFF THE BRIDGE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

Liberty's Edge

"I'll wait till Liss' question gets answered."

Sovereign Court

Alissa: The bridge flips top to bottom.

Liberty's Edge

Do I see anything?

Sovereign Court

Nesod: Anything in particular?

Is there a new pattern showing?

Sovereign Court

Alissa: No there is no new pattern showing.

"Nasty doing fine. He has troll blood me thinks no need for healing. Body heals self."

In fact as you sit there you see the scorch marks from the electricity healing.

(OOC: regeneration /5 has it benefits)

Sovereign Court

Nasty: Orc/Troll hybrid....interesting

He is pretty Nasty.

Liberty's Edge

Nothing in particular.

I'M PART DRAGON AND I BREATH FIRE. THAT'S COOL, RIGHT!

"Me no good with puzzles. Should me try and break down other door that shocked me?"

Sovereign Court

Nesod: Ok then you realize that this false door across the bridge was put there to lure foolish adventures to use up party resources and maybe meet the fate of those hundreds of skeletons floating in the lake 200' below you. Not bad for nothing in particular

AMS: Seriously, what's cooler than having dragon blood and breathing fire

I think a lich for a father is much cooler.

I TURN THE LICH!

Sovereign Court

Nasty: Perhaps I should have explained it better, There is only 1 door. A golden door studded with what looked like black gems. It has 2 handles i.e a french door. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Help Me My Daughter

Liberty's Edge

At the sound of gems, I come back up. "Oh hey. A lich! A real lich! AWESOME! Nice to meet you sir, I'm Nesod Monkchinegun. Any tips for an aspiring lich?"

Sovereign Court

Nesod: As the image of Alissa's father fades from view, he turns to you and says "Stay Cool Man". The gems are nothing but glass =(

"NASTY SMASH SILLY GAMES."

He looks around to see how he can get out of this place with silly moving bridge. Can he smash or eat the granite wall that is behind the door?

Or he looks down into the pool of water with the skeletons and sees if there is a way out that way.

Sovereign Court

Maybe

Can he climb down there?

climb: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (11) + 18 = 29

Liberty's Edge

Can I climb on his back?

Sovereign Court

Nasty: The walls are jagged so climbing is relatively easy for someone of great strength if you want Nesod on your back roll one more time.

As you get to 100' of the water level you will notice several schools of goldfish, each containing hundreds of fish swimming around the skeletons and below.

"Okay Nesod you can come." He grabs him by the scruff of the neck like one would take a kitten and he places him on his back.

Climb: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21

"Stay still little Nesod don't want you to fall and hurt yourself."
