Lissa: You manage to kill another of the lizards. Your bear starts devouring, until it figures out it tastes like smelly paper.

Gassy: Your lantern splashes burning oil over the last standing IK IK, and it starts screaming and running around.
"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIK IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIK!!!1"

Nessy and AM S: You get an IK IK as familiar, each. Congratulations.

Way to go, team, you gain a total of 15 * 8 XP, which is... ummm... carry the six... eleventeen... 120 XP. Divided by Nessy, Lissa, Gassy, AM H, Babby, AM S, Firsty and Gurg, that's eight... let's see...
*scratches his head*
...sixteen XP!

Wahoo. 32XP total.

BTW, what does the level chart look like?
Does everyone go up at the same XP, or does each class have its own level chart?

Of course everyone has different level limits for XP.

DOES ANYONE NEED HEALING? I THINK I GET XP WHEN I HEAL THINGS.

Hey, I get XP when I stab things.

*stabs Babby*

Now you heal him. We can make 5th level in no time like this!

Ouch!

Makes mental note: Do not sexually harass this one.., ever

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Makes mental note: Only sexually harass after casting Charm Person or Sleep.

RRRAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRRRR!

*looks at Nesod menacingly.*

Liberty's Edge

MENTAL NOTE. Okay, ROG, where to next?

We continue searching for rats, of course.

Liberty's Edge

And so we go.

You go further down the passage. The rat holes you don't see become more frequent. The path turns, and without further warning, you find yourselves in a great temple. At the opposite end of the room is a huge statue of a standing rat with six forelegs, three eyes, holding a spire topped by a human foot. The statue seems to be made of stone, but the foot, while desiccated, seems genuine. The ceiing of this room is covered in huge, stinking swathes of old netting, drapes, tablecloths, and various clothes.

Roll an intelligence check.

Liberty's Edge

INT Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

I cast light on the end of my eleven foot pole and poke it around. I also check the ceiling.

OOC: My Droid doesn't do brackets. So I'll roll tonight.

Liberty's Edge

OOC: No problem. We'll say you roll nothing but ones.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Liberty's Edge

What's going on?

Nesod the Monkchinegun wrote:

OOC: My "charm person" spell says otherwise.

Liberty's Edge

It only applies on humanoids. I. AM. GOD!

I leave you to your delusions.

Liberty's Edge

Gassy should worship me!!!

Int: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

My dice hate me.

Liberty's Edge

I rolled a 20 though!!! Whoo!!!

OOC: IHOP, then I roll my d20. I promise.

Int checks are still low is better, people. You realize that there are a good number of rat holes here. Nessy who checked the ceiling rolled a critical miss, though, so you don't see the weighted net as it descends. You are all flattened by the weight of masses of nets falling on top of you!

As you try to deal with the situation, you hear something squeaking. It is a rat with a full-length red cloak, probably someone's handkerchief. It is standing on a stone podium before the rat statue.

It looks at you, then starts squeaking. It squeaks quietly at first, then gradually builds up momentum and volume. More and more, it makes dramatic poses, Finally, it gives a series of squeaks that sounds suspiciously like a maniacal cackle.

What are you doing?

Liberty's Edge

Using my glasses that let me speak all languages, then say "sorry, could you say that again? My hearing is rubbish."

Wait a minute. Nesod rolled a 24 and failed. I rolled a 5 and failed. Do you want high dice or low dice? Make up your mind.

Any idea why this is no longer showing up in the forum games list? I have to search for it first in order to make a post.

Liberty's Edge

But it is.

It is not showing up on my computer or my phone. For some reason the only threads I can see in the "Recent Posts", even when I am in a one them are these threads: Last one to post, Banned, Matt Damon, The next poster

Even when I go to "Forum Games" and look at the list of available games, "Time for the Tomb of Borrors" is not here.

I WANT TO CUT OFF THE STATUE'S FOOT.

Liberty's Edge

"we're trapped under the net. we need to diplomacize."

RRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

*Starts shredding the net with his massive claws and jaws.*

Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

1 claw and 1 bite hit.
Claw: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Bite: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

*Draws serrated knive and starts cutting net.*

The rat squeaks loudly, and its nine compatriots start clambering onto the net, baring their little fangs and also squeaking in turn!!! All right, who was walking first again?

Liberty's Edge

Alissa. Did my diplomacy help at all?

It did not understand what you said. Nor did you understand the details of its diabolical plan.

Liberty's Edge

But my glasses...

"You don't need them," he hisses in contempt.

Okay, since it seems I'm stuck in nets with the rest of you...,

...pointing his hands outward, a sheet of flame erupts and burns a path through the fibrous mass. AM SORCERER uses it (burning hands) to burn through the net and tapestries.

OOC: Sorry misplaced my dice for the last two days. I found them but they've seem to have moved again.

Okay. The nets start burning, doing so vigorously and emitting a thick, oily smoke. All of you take 2d4: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5 fire damage. The nine rats in the net scream and die, leaving you to face the wrath of the full six inches of rage of their leader!!!

What are you doing?

Liberty's Edge

WHAT THE-
I WILL SHOW HIM MY SIX INCHES OF RAGE IN RETURN

Liberty's Edge

I'm gonna snicker at that, and have my lizard eat him.

Okay. You need to roll an attack for that.

Liberty's Edge

Is lower or higher better?

DEVOUR LEADRAT

Liberty's Edge

I MOVE INTO A FLANKING POSITION
THIS IS GETTING WEIRD

Liberty's Edge

I alos thwack it 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Gobble up 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
