With the continuing growth and presence of online play through various methods, including PbP and VTTs, it has necessitated the appointment of a Venture-Captain for online play.
Joseph Caubo has been a VL in both Georgia and Florida, and I believe he will help solidify and grow online play bigger and better than it currently is. Some of his responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Be the go-to contact for all online gaming; assist online game days, play-by-posts, online campaigns, or any other such group wanting a Pathfinder Society Organized Play online.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the different ways users can play online: either through play-by-posts, Paizo’s VTT, or any 3rd party application (ex. D20Pro).
• Build a positive rapport with all online forum goers interested in online Pathfinder Society games.
• Build and maintain monthly an email list of online volunteers.
• Maintain a full report of Pathfinder Society Organized Play events (with or without your assistance) on a quarterly basis. Work with the players to ensure they are registered on paizo.com.
• Ensure that all Pathfinder Society Organized Play sessions run online through the Paizo ‘Online Campaign’ forums are reported and reported accurately, and that all Pathfinder Society Organized Play events are entered properly to display on the Events page (paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/events).
Welcome aboard!

Strange that post has separated the e from collective... Tip: make sure there no space between the v and e, lol.

There are a couple of VO's already involved in this community, and some pretty solid pillars of folks who have been just amazing in organizing these events even further.
If you get a chance you can toss me a skype at Son_of_Solomon and I can talk to you about some cool virtual tabletop stuff and maybe even get you a free license to some of them.
Good luck with this massively growing field!

Congratulations Joe; hopefully you'll be able to stop by the RPG Geek Pathfinder Society Game Guild. It's home to lots of play-by-forum games, and now the odd Roll20 game too. One VL (Brian Darnell) is already a member there.

We played games for years using chat only and we loved it.
We tried using Skype for a while and that was working okay, then after a few months, we tried another game with chat-only again and we had a lot of problems - wondered how we ever played that way.
The big advantage about including voice is that you can include those little nuances like "do I get a cover bonus from hiding back here?" and it can be 20-40 seconds quicker each time something like that comes up, and that adds up.

I think this is a terrible Idea!!!!! ;).
*PS, Mike go to the link before you send me an email... ;)
Joe here is a VL idea... Set up VLs in Foreign Language PFS Online play to keep you informed.

For some reason, if you don't use the URL tags, urls tend to get broken up by random spaces on the Paizo forums.
Welcome to being Online VC, Joe!
Another group you will ant to contact, if you haven'[t already, is the Fantasy Grounds 2 group:
FG2 PFS Forum

Our new venture captain should check out the Fantasy Grounds pathfinder Society forum and get in touch with some one who by the name of Trenloe who does an excellent job supporting PFS games and so is already a Venture lieutenant in the real world
