Yeah... Not very tidy, but quite amusing!

Now, now, little goblins. We were only commenting on your penchant for... redecorating things in such a unique fashion. As I said, it's father amusing.

Agreed that it's prolly easier for GM's. For players it has a number of disadvantages.

1) You get a dot on your overview when it's not pertinent to you.
2) In PFS mode when you don't know the other folks/their avatars it's super confusing
3) multiple discussions in one thread on different topics-->super duper confusing

Just a heads up to let you know that I'll be away for two days (festival), so please DMPC my character as appropriate. I'll be back on the 13th June.

It's also inconvenient for Wayfinder users, since these multi-game discussion threads don't show up in Wayfinder.

But I agree that if it's easier for the GM then it's worth it.

We have been doing multi-campaign OOC threads for years in several campaigns. It is really neither easier nor harder. I have never used Wayfinder, so I cannot comment on that. However, the only really difference is that you get easier access to campaigns when slots open up - the DM already knows his players. In addition, it takes one more click to get to your campaign if you happen to navigate that way (I just return to the main Campaign tab on my character to see what else is new).

In the end, it is neither better nor worse. You get to be involved in more discussions (even if they involve goblins half the time), but you also have to ignore the game related discussion from the other campaigns, which is not that hard.

Much easier to also alert players of other gaming opportunities and promulgate announcements. If you have a better suggestion for how to communicate to several groups at once then I am all ears.

Running several tables simultaneously it is the easiest way (for me) to track what is going on rather than having to monitor multiple threads (would be five at present).

Personally, I like it. In fact, I stole it and did it on my game-threads too. Any game relevant ooc talk can go right along with your posts on the gameplay thread and more general ooc topics go well here. I've gotten great, super-timely game-mechanic input on these threads seeing as so many experienced players and GM's are in on the discussion. ^_^

My brother managed to save my laptop. Sadly though he's recommened a full factory restore. Plus the keyboard and touchpad on it are shot. So basically using it as a desk top for now until I save up for a new one.

At the moment I'm transferring files (surprisingly little of it pornographic) over to various hidey holes. Once that's done I restore it then begin the long slow process of getting my stuff back in order.

So I should be able to post Saturday.

So for the many games one discussion thread thing. I did it for 3+ years with only one whiner.

General:
Online Play Day
I was hoping the 4th Online play day would be announced, but so far this hasn't happened, which is a shame, as I was hoping to cross register the next set of scenarios/modules we have scheduled. More info if it comes to hand.

TLAPD PbP
No mention of TLAPD in the PbP space again more, which is disappointing.
I run TLAPD (and Pirates by the Sea) Pathfinder events in Sydney which are loads of fun (BYO Beer & BBQ meat of preference) but if there is no organised PbP event for it this year I will be running a few Piratical themed adventures around it.
Never managed to get 'Official support' ie Boons for my events (because it just became a chore) but I will come up with something. Scrape out my old Rum barrel of unused Boons or something. More news in due course, as it is still a couple of months away.

@Risen Teams
(Alpha & Bravo)
Both teams in the pyramid and progressing well!
This encounter was the more 'controversial' part of the scenario that caused much bellyaching on the boards.

@Goblins
(Charlie & Delta)
Moving along ok, a lot of learning on my end about translating the mod into PbP, the challenges seem to bog momentum a bit - might need to review that - thanks for your patience!
WBG3 is coming out in about a week - are any of you current Goblins NOT intending to stick on for WBG3?

@Runelords
Good stuff, keep pushing! Towards the endgame of Book 3!

ARR Mateys!

Per the above, talks are underway with regards Piratical Pleasures in September (as well as other events..) stay tuned.

Sweet! Or should I say: Salty!

Hmm, I'd like to volunteer to GM a PbP for TLAPD but A) I have a distinct lack of anything piratey among my scenarios, B) I have no clue what my schedule will be like in Sept, and C) looks like there is only 1 month of time to run it over? I have yet to hit that time goal on a PbP scenario...

Does "scenario support" mean that they will email free pdfs for those who need them?

VC - Sydney, Australia

It means that TLAPD will get in tight with Play Day 4.

There will be scenario support during that time, and yes the window is tight (but quite achievable) - my tip is to cap your tables at a very firm 4 players and run the lower levels. I always hit four weeks no worries that way. It requires your players to post in though...

There will be a sign up process when officially announced :)

Ailetha, casting message on Bree before scouting can be just as useful if not more so than invisibility. If for no other reason than she's more willing to extend her range of scouting.

Male Orc Expert 5

The upbeat messages from the rest of the group is kind of amusing to me. Particularly since Karlan is the only one left from the original group. So he was there for goblin attack, the body horrorshow at the glass factory, the skinsaw murders, Harry's overzealous self defense against a tied up judge, it was he who discovered the final fate of the rangers at Fort Rannick (a sight he spared the rest of the group). And overall the worst monsters he's met by far wore human flesh.

This AP really goes out of its way to outline the monstrousness of its villains.

I'm kind of curious how much outright horror Bree and Kabal were exposed to in their misadventures during Zyrens underdark business.
I am also curious to see what comes out the other side.

Fluid Inter-dimensional physically detached consciousness Roguish Healer/4

What upbeat messages do you mean? The lovey stuff?

Sable, Kabal, and Bree didn't see so much outright horror as much as constant violence. Unfortunately we didn't get to play through the AP, before ZZ ended it and gave us an abridged version of what we experienced while masquerading as drow. Then he tied Bree's brother in as the reason we didn't pursue it further so that we could be brought into this campaign instead. No one is trying to knock what Karlan has seen, hell they don't even have any real clue what he's seen because, as you said, they weren't there for it, and they're not trying to compete either.

I'm actually pretty disappointed to be brought into the AP so late in the game, even as Alana (who didn't stick around very long, unfortunately but as I told Shifty, I'm always game to bring her back in if he wants). It's like opening a book half way through. I'd like to play it from the beginning sometime. Still yet, I'm more than happy to have the chance to play it at all and thrilled to have the chance to be playing Bree once more.

Never fear my fine Runelorders. There will be enough monstrosity for newer players to really get numbed and then eventually learn to hate, and if you get this part right, then Karlan might get that glimmer of hope he was looking for - but be oh so careful my fine adventurers, for you are in a perilous place and if you get it wrong then there is no one to hear your final screams :)

Welcome to Mr Pett and Mr Logue.

Side note, driving up to the mountains for shortly for the Winter Magic Festival - basically a bajillion hippies cutting loose for the Winter Solstice in the Blue Mountains just outside Sydney. It means updates sketchy over the next 24-36 hours!

Was referring more to the other 2.

Forward thinking is very much in Karlan's bones. Lastwall exists because Tar-Baphon was never fully destroyed.

For WBG2, does the character I want to apply the credit to have to be 3rd lvl for it to count? Or can they be a lower level?

Most of my characters are 1st lvl, so should I apply it to a character and wait for them to reach the right level for the credit to kick in?

VC - Sydney, Australia

Hi mate, good question.

For WBG 2, the Chronicle is 1xp and applicable from levels 2-4.
If you wish you may credit the chronicle to one of your available level 1's and will be able to apply it once they reach the minimum level (2).

Fun fact: Disable Device can, in fact, be used to unlock locked doors - you don't need a key (you can even 'Take 20').

Of course, if the rogue doesn't want to pick the lock, Crowe can use his Earthbreaker, but picking the lock seems easier ;-)
