Hello all, myself and a friend are looking to get into a brand new campaign, and are looking to gauge the interest of anyone out there who may be interested. We both have moderate (3-4 years) experience playing Pathfinder, and are open to any players, but we will also need a GM! We could even try using the Mythic rules as well.
Would anyone be interested in starting up a campaign?
I too am looking for a game, but am too inexperienced to GM. Also, I don't yet know anything about the mythic rules, but I'm willing to learn them, or anything else. I'm in if you'll have me.
I've GM'd online games for several years, though it was usually with close friends where we've developed a fairly efficient system for virtual play. Were you two looking for a homebrew or Golarion-based? Were you planning on using a virtual tabletop (of which I have little experience using some of the newer ones)?
I generally email maps to players and run games through a chat client. Maps tend to have coordinates on the X and Y axes for ease of navigation.

i generally use chat client (skype/AIM) and email maps to all the players with coordinates marked on them to help with navigation -- this is the mode i am most comfortable with because my old group and i used it for over 10 years. i would prefer going back to this style, as it takes me less than an hour prep time per game session
i've looked at a few virtual table top programs, but never actually used any of them in a game, so i dont know all the functions for these programs (Fantasy Grounds, Roll 20, Battlegrounds). this would probably be more useful to players, but i'd spend a significant time learning the system.

Campaign Information
"The Armageddon Engine"
The Spawn of Rovagug are among the most feared and legendary of monsters. Most were sealed away and one in particular was hidden in a cavern somewhere in Avistan. Now a scholar claims he has found the secret location of the dreaded Tarrasque, putting himself and possibly the entire world in danger. The heroes, villains, and party members alike flock to Absalom for various reasons -- to learn the Tarrasque's location, the kill the scholar, or perhaps even to awaken the dreaded Armageddon Engine itself -- to find the scholar....
So is the plan to have the characters generated and basic background stories done by Saturday? I am willing to play what role is needed to fill.
depends on the GM if we are allowed to coordinate what 'party roles' we can play
some GMs i know want us to all pick our classes individually and hope that we have someone that can do what we need
personally i have always been better at martial classes, my favorites being the paladin and ranger, and i play the roles of the tank, partial healer, and either party face or skill monkey depending on which one
Just to confirm, the party is gonna be: gunner and his friend, master marshmallow, feldman and bloodwolven; I’d be uncomfortable running for more than 4-5 players at any one time.
I would prefer there to be at least 1 tank, 1 full arcane caster, and 1 dedicated buffer/healer. Hybrids (magus, multiclass, bard, etc) are encouraged as supportive roles. I tend to run combat/trap heavy encounters, with the bulk of roleplaying and “social skills” being in a very discrete section, either at the start or end of a session. In terms of difficulty, I do tend to stick fairly hard to Challenge Ratings; if you want a gauge of lethality, I run games fairly close to the lethality of Rise of the Runelords (which, in my opinion, stuck very close to its published CRs).
Custom Traits
Absalom Native: You live in Absalom and whether you were born there or not, it is now your home. You know it inside and out. The ruckus this new scholar and his tales of the Tarrasque are causing quite the stir in even the most cosmopolitan city in Golarion. The influx of new faces, adventurers, and thrillseekers has made business boom in just a few short days. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Knowledge (local) checks and begin with +200 starting gold (in addition to the starting gold of your class).
Champion of Rovagug: You may be open about it or secretive, a nihilist or a madman, but your true allegiance is to Rovagug. The chance to release the legendary Armageddon Engine, the greatest of Rovagug’s Spawn, is the greatest honor in your lifetime. Let the unholy ravager awaken, and may you be its herald! Your fanaticism and penchant for destruction grant you a +1 trait bonus on attack rolls with the greataxe, Rovagug’s chosen weapon. This trait does not make you proficient in the greataxe.
Knowledge is Dangerous: You may be a paladin of Sarenrae, a hired blade, or simply a decent human being, but you know that the location of the Tarrasque’s lair is knowledge too dangerous to let loose into the world. Whether it is your mission, a personal decision, or the promise of an employer’s gold, your mission is to make sure that the Tarrasque’s resting place never sees the light of day. You know how to make information disappear and as a result you gain a +1 trait bonus on Linguistics and Sense Motive checks and one of these skills becomes a class skill.
Knowledge is Power: You may be a scholar, a Pathfinder, a wizard dabbling in ancient lore, or a simple information broker with a high-paying client, but you need to find out the location of the Tarrasque! That knowledge could make your career, make you filthy rich, or grant you power beyond compare. As a result of your skills at research, you receive a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Knowledge (history) checks and one of these Knowledge skills becomes a class skill.
