Actually, I had lowered my HP before you posted, but I had done it incorrectly because I forgot about shield other. I've done all the math, and I'm pretty sure that my HP is correct now, including your channel.

Eyes widening at the force of the elemental's strike, Kaalul silently hopes that he's not left facing this target alone for very long, but he won't call for assistance while his allies have their own battles to fight. He activates his bane ability to further enhance his weapon and swings again.

So, I've been tracking HP and the 'PC Damage Taken Totals' was copy and pasted from the end of the last fight (aside from fiddly bits on Fizz from when he was thrown and healed himself and got thrown again). So, unless you healed yourself or something else happened to Kaalul between last fight and this one, you should be at -6 from max HP. Technically, (sorry GM I peeked for this) the creature did two iterations of 19 damage. Therefore the actual damage to each would have been 18 to Kaalul and 20 to Fizz, as the remainder goes to the caster. So technically you should be at -4, but meh it isn't that big of a deal. The point I'm trying to make here is that I have pretty much 1 job, and I assure you I'm doing pretty well (aside from Stauntram's DR, I swear I'll remember this time!. :)

The elemental lashes out twice at Kaalul. The elementals mastery of this element barely allows it to strike the dwarf two heavy blows (39 damage).

Martel, you might as well cast that on Stauntram. Kaalul drank a potion of bull's strength at the beginning of this battle, and enhancement bonuses don't stack.

Kaalul's thoughts about how he's now breathing shark blood when he breathes in water is interrupted by another devastating blow. He thinks about casting a spell or drinking a potion, but that would probably be a bad idea when he's the only one engaged in melee with the water elemental. Nothing for it but another swing of the hammer, then.

Stauntram, you are certainly not flanking the water elemental unless you have a feature I don't know about. Also, it looks like you forgot the -2 for underwater combat.

Kaalul strikes a might blow but it has no effect.

Half damage because you're underwater gets rounded down to 10. This thing has DR 10. That's why I recommend plan B. Only your acid and lightning are damaging it most of the time, so please be sure to note those two separately.

This is what I was trying to hint at earlier. I don't think this fight works well at all for you guys underwater. Half damage before DR 10 is really crippling your ability to harm it.

I completely forgot to add those in! GM, could you apply the +3 to hit and damage to Stauntram's attacks when you do the round-up?

Martel runs out to the hallway, ducking under Stauntram's arm to keep out of the shark's reach. "I'll dismiss the water breathing spell off each of you as you come out!" he dismisses his own as he leaves the water, then stands ready to help the next person out.

The shark bites Martel hard as he leaves (AoO crit for 16 dam). The elemental then strikes Kaalul hard again (18 dam) and misses Stauntram. The shark bites at Stauntram but misses. The earth elemental tries to take the circlet but provokes from the water elemental, who strikes him hard (19 dam).

Kaalul, I'm confused by your position. You could move because the earth elemental provoked watery's one aoo but could you move that far? And you didn't seem to say you moved... Party, GO!

My bad. I was going to do a full action last round, so I moved on the map. But then I realized that Stauntram had already gone for the round, so we couldn't all move together (minimizing AoOs), so I decided to attack one more time, but I forgot to undo my position on the map. Sorry.

Reeling from the last blow, Kaalul braces himself for another as he retreats out of the water and around the corner.

Withdraw for Stauntram to get outside, avoiding an AOO. Earth elemental will withdraw safely into the floor and start moving to emerge safely behind the water elemental whenever it finally stops chasing us and is in one place.
