New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.0.0.0 : Added Non-Slot item, extra enhancement options, and more prestige classes.

Does it have any way to add custom feats which would give actual bonuses to stats in the sheet (and more feats than intended - i heavely houserule in my games and have a lot of weak custom feats to give to players as rewards)?

On the feats tab, very top, there is a field labeled "Additional Feats", you can uses this field to give your players "extra" feats. Our GM lets us have either two feats or the lvl 4 stat bonus.

I'm not sure about the "extra stats" as you say. You can uses the Magic Adjustments tab to alter stats. At the very bottom of the feats tab there is space for custom feats.

Can you give me a few examples of what you mean? Or what you are looking for. I'm always looking for ways I can add more customization for the users/players.

New Version of sCoreSpell out today. - sb.0.4.0.0 : Beta. Added some missing items, updated some spell text. Fixes.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.1.0.2 : I've gone and broken it. Enjoy. Rebuild of the class lists to make it easier for me to add future classes. Good for me. Might be bad for you. Few added race traits.

Ah! A new one just came out, will have to check it out. I was working in 6.0.0.0 and I was having sorcerer issues -- first, couldn't find ordinary Protean bloodline (could take anarchic wildblooded version, but not the original). Then when I picked Arcane bloodline, and went to select arcane bond, when I hit the pull down menu to select familiar or object, I just got a blank menu. There are spaces in the "menu" I can select, which will then allow me to select a familiar or object, but then when I go to select an object, the only choices it gives me are "familiar" and "object," not the actual objects I need to choose from (wand, ring, weapon, etc.). The list of familiars comes up okay. I do not know if this has been fixed in the new version, I will check but in case that does not sound like a problem you know of thought I'd go ahead and post anyway.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.2.0.1 : Added "Other" races. Added missing character traits. Added more prestige classes. Added new "Display Export" function to export out all the character sheets for easy tablet viewing.

Yes, I said tablet viewing. This "Simple" version is no more then a fallible character sheet (that has already been filled out). I've described it as printing out your sheet without using paper.

Silver Crusade

This character sheet is getting better and better. My only problem is that now I can't find the checkbox to display the PFS logo on the sheet. Could any gentle soul help me with that please?

Silver Crusade

Alright, I've found my way around the new version. Anyway, thanks a lot for such fantastic work!

ScoreForge is still going strong! Great work!

A small bug:

When choosing vivisectionist archetype for alchemist, the program takes away two discoveries in order to give you bleeding attack and crippling strike. However, both of those abilities simply gives the vivisectionist the ability to choose bleeding attack and crippling strike in place of a discovery, it doesn't actually force the vivisectionist to choose those in place of a discovery.

Some more bugs:

A familiar's skill points do not increase with its HD. They do get more skill points as their intelligence increases, though. So as the wizard goes up levels and the familiar's int increases, it'll get some retroactive skill points.

Ratfolk are considered to be proficient in the tail knife, despite their class. The current set up has a martial weapon proficiency to be proficient, even if the ratfolk race is selected.

The system does not calculate secondary natural attack penalties (-5 normally, -2 with multiattack). I did find the formula in the system, and it looks like it's a simple problem with the wrong box selected in the equation. Littlebox is set up to check for multiattack by seeing if it is flurryable and if it's a light secondary, rather than checking if if a natural attack and a secondary natural attack.

I'll see what I can do with the next update. The 2nd attack and all that have always felt off to me.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.3.0.2 : Returned the lost Gun Tank. Added many Prestige Classes.

thebluecanary wrote:

If you go to littlebox, and look at the equation in the primary attack box (for the first weapon, this is AA291), you can see the equation is as follows:

=SUM(AE291:CX291)-IF(AND(COUNTIF(Feats,"Multiattack")>0,AU287,BS287),2,I F(AND(AU287,BS287),5,0))

AU287 is the flurry-able check, and BS287 is the light secondary check (for normal attacks, not natural attacks).

It should be BC287 and CA287, respectively. Also, the appropriate rows for the other weapon options need to be changed, as well.

It's a simple mistake of selecting the wrong box, as both natural and secondary natural are right next to flurry-able and light secondary. Hell, I've made the same mistake plenty of times. I fixed it on my copy, and it works perfectly.

Also, I gave a donation. I feel like a dick always critiquing and never contributing. Enjoy. :)

Edit: looks like this messageboard includes some extraneous spaces in that equation that don't show up when I try to edit the post. Odd.

Thank you for the donation, you should have gotten an email from me. Also check out the newest version of the sheet, I did some updates based on your issues. Also in the "uses" drop down for the weapon, change this to set that it is a 2nd natural attack.

There a couple other fields that I am also looking at, and you are right about the cells being shifted. I was mucking with some reformatting, and I screwed up a bunch of those things.

My group has put pathfinder on the back burner so I'm out of the loop on the evolution of the sheet. Had 4.6 i think and now you're well past. Keep up the good work Blue!

Once we end our current game, I think I'm going to GM the next pathfinder campaign.

I love using scoreforge. It has helped create many a character. I was wondering though if you were going to add the shadowcaster archetype from Inner Sea Magic? I see that you have the black-blooded oracle and would love to have the shadowcaster.

I didn't see an email. I checked the messages here at paizo, and both my email accounts. Unfortunately, my trash and my spam folders for both accounts do not go back to the date you last posted here, so I don't know if I accidentally deleted it or if it got sent to the spam folder. Can you resend?

Sorry I didn't get back earlier; my research just massively picked up in pace and I've been extremely busy at work. I've been going into the lab before 7am and not leaving until 6pm all week. I'm only here today because I need to focus on something else to give my brain a break.

And now, time to check out the latest release! :)

Edit: Oh, and I knew about the uses drop box. Just didn't include it in my explanation. :)

New Version of sCoreSpell out today. - sb.0.5.0.1 : Beta. Added Crimson Assassin Spell Page. Added option for creating Spell Cards from either Spellbook Tab, or Spell Sheet tab.

Drop a request out in the support tickets. I tend to forget to check this page, except on days I update. ACK.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.4.0.2 : Added more custom class options. Added more Prestige Classes. Added the long wished for Magic Item Card Generator.

Looks like an old version was used during one of the updates. The multiattack equation in little box weren't fixed with this update, but they were fixed with a previous update.

I noticed that this same issue also creates an error with double weapons, forcing them to act as natural weapons without multiattack and giving them a -5 to attack. Correcting the equation as listed above solved both issues.

I'll throw this up on a support ticket, too.

Question: there's a section called "Handedness" in littlebox. If you have a double weapon, this section gives you a +2 to attack. I can't figure out what rule this is referencing in pathfinder. What is this referencing in the rules?

Edit: it's not double weapons that's the problem, it's any monk weapons that acts as a light secondary. It gets treated as a natural attack without mutliattack, giving it a -5 to attack. I put up a support ticket for it.

I still have that question. :)

Well... despite multiple ticket reports I still cannot use the macros that were in sCoreforge. I used to love this program, but I haven't been able to use ver 6.4.0.2 or 6.5.0.1. I am really disappointed. I enjoyed the support I have previously received. But I guess I'm no longer allowed to use it. I will sorely miss it. Good bye.

Sorry about that. I guess people here have not heard, but I lost my job and have been unable to keep on the sheet like I used to be. I'm trying to get things going as best as I can, and with the broken ticketing system, no one is able to reply to their tickets.

I really don't know how or why the macros might be missing. I assume that you have enabled macros when you loaded the file. Do you have any plug-ins for Excel? Are you running Excel 2010?

Once again, allow me to extend both my thanks for the excellent work, and my condolences on the change of job front. Hope it all gets sorted out for you soon!

On the sheet, any schedule for the implementation of the Animals book? Notionally all the crazy new archetypes...

Grand Lodge

I am using 2010. Any fix for that? The older versions work fine. Sorry about your job. Wish I could help.

Kurt Grossman wrote:

Do you know the exact version that it stopped working on? And what the last good version that worked? I do not own 2010, so its very hard for me to test this. One ugly solution is to open a working version, and copy over all the macro/VB script into the non-working version and save.

I do not like that answer. I've only seen this before when I had 2003 and 2010 both installed at work. You can try a right click open of the sheet and tell it to open it as a 2003 document.

I didn't even know this book was out yet. How did I miss that? GASP! And as always I will find a way to get that stuff added. I haven't had to do an archetype in a while.

I have 2010, and it works fine (Version 14.0.6129.5000 32-bit on my desktop and Version 14.0.6129.5000 64-bit on my laptop). Although I have noticed that sometimes the program auto turns off macros, making the program not work.

To see if this is your problem, try this:

1) File
2) Options
3) Trust Center
4) Trust Center Settings
5) Macro Settings

In that last menu, you can check the macro settings for 2010 to see if it was turned off.

Additionally, you could click on Trusted Locations (also located in the Trust Center Settings), and add a folder to the list of "all files in this folder are trusted, so always turn on macros." That's not an exact title of the option, but it's basically what it does.

Also, make sure you have the most recent updates for excel. One of the previous updates could be interfering with the program.

Oh, and avoid Excel 2013 (aka Excel 365) like the plague.

Edit:

Other potential solutions from the Trusted Center Location:

Check Trusted Documents (just below Trusted Locations) and see if "Disable Trusted Documents" is checked. If it is, then it won't even look at your Trusted Locations to see if your selected folder is there. Unclick that.

Check Protected View (just below Macro Settings). See if the program has enabled protected view for files in potentially unsafe locations or originating from the internet. If yes, then any excel file you download or open from Temp folders might not allow macros (I actually have all these turned on, but I only open sCoreForge from specific folders).

Check ActiveX Settings (just above Macro Settings). See if prompts are enabled. It could be that your Excel has prompts disabled, so that when you open the file, it doesn't let you know that Macros may be turned off. Alternatively, you could just enable all controls without restrictions.

Check the Message Bar (just below Protected View). See if you have the Message Bar enabled. If you don't then when you open Excel and the program wants to ask you if you want to turn on Macros, then the message won't show up to allow you to turn it on.

That's all I can think of for now. See if any of those work, and come back here to let me know if you are still having problems. Actually, come back here if any of these solve the problem, too, because I want to know if it helped.

Yea, my support ticket (I mentioned this in the Yahoo group tonight too, not sure which message board is visited more frequently, so I'm gonna hit both) #872, has a link which may explain issues that I'm experiencing with the macros.

I'm using Office for Mac 2011, and it gets quite angry (there should be screen shots on the ticket that highlight in more detail). I think it may have something to do with BlueCanary creating it with 2003 (assumption there based on the microsoft support forum link in the ticket, my apologies if I'm incorrect) and newer versions of office/excel adding more features.

With Office for Mac, I can't figure out how to open the file with a compatibility mode for an earlier Office for Mac version either...

OpenOffice Calc on Mac won't open it at all either, it just loads for a while then stops responding.

EDIT: I did have an odd inconsistency with one of my updates: sb 0.4.x.x no longer (even with fresh downloads of the file) functions for me either.

Sovereign Court

Yea, after installing Windows 8 on VirtualBox... and a trial copy of MS Office 2007... it will run only in "compatibility mode" on my Mac that way.

Looks like the VB code for the macros needs to be updated for current versions of Office. Good luck on the Job Hunt Blue Canary! LOL

Thanks everyone, especially Bookrat. I think I was the moron who changed the settings to macros off. Sigh! Works great now. B-)

Glad to see that it worked. :)

Don't be too hard on yourself, though. Like I said, I've seen my settings change before, and I certainly wasn't the one who changed them. I suspect the Excel reverted some settings during an update, or perhaps there's a key combo (such as ctrl+something) that sets the settings back to default and my cats walked on my keyboard. Who knows?

I have a question regarding the Magus with sCoreForge. How can I fill in my Arcanas? In “Custom Special” is a field labelled Arcana, but I really do not understand what happens when I put something in there. I just typed the first arcana (arcane accuracy) I want to purchase in there, but what happens then? Did anyone handle a Magus in this sheet before and can help me how to maintain the arcanas?

Best wishes, :-)

Hey could use some help here.

Trying to use 0.7.0.0sb current version. Running Excel 2010.

When file opens no prompts, pop-ups or guide.
Checked website Wiki/FAQ incomplete and does not match what is seen when file opened.

Nothing on options page to select "Society" as base region or campaign.
Basic traits from the Society guide are not available for selection.
All entries appear to be manual...cannot drop-down a race for pre-sets - was this a copyright issue?

After everything entered manually, no button to print character. None of the tabs are a character sheet.

Has anyone done (say Youtube) a step by step of how they input a basic level 1 character and then printed it?

Thanks!

Trying to use sCoreSpell 0.7.0.0

When I try to import characters from sCoreForge 6.6.0.1 and 6.3.0.2 I get an error message: Unsupported import file version.

Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

Grand Lodge

Also I'm trying to make a spell list for an 11th level Cleric and I can only access 4th level spells, I should get 6th level. Any help? Thanks!

The custom sections are for designing your own stuff. If you're looking to add arcana's for your magus, go to the "Specifics" page, and make sure magus is checked on that page. Then you'll see the magus arcana list pop up, and you choose your arcana there.

You're using the spellbook. Are you trying to make a character?

If so, go here: link

If you're trying to use the spellbook, be aware that it is incomplete (which why the version is less than 1). The developer is working on it, but because this is a free program and he doesn't get paid for it, it's at his own leisure.

Kurt Grossman wrote:

I'm not seeing the problem. I just made up an 11th level cleric and I'm getting 6th level spells.

A few things come to mind:

Check your wisdom stat to see if it's high enough to allow for higher spell levels. 10 for 0 level spells, 11 for 1st level spells, ect. If your wisdom score is set at 14, then the sheet won't give you spells higher than 4th level on the sheet. This is located on the "Specifics" page.

Make sure the sheet is calculating. Go to the Excel tab at the top of the sheet called "Formulas." Under the Formulas tab, you should see a "Calculation Option" button. Check to see if you have calculations set to "Automatic," which makes it so every time you make a change on the workbook, the program recalculates automatically, or if you have it set to "manual," which makes it so you have to click the calculate button located on the bottom left of the screen or the "Calculate Now" button located next to the "Calculate Options" button after you make changes.

I have actually never tried to import a file, so I don't know. Sorry. :(

You can go here to submit a support ticket, or go here to ask the community (and this actually gets responses faster than the Paizo thread).
