Trouble with the Unarmed Fighter. When I choose a bonus style feat, I get a circular reference warning, and then Excel crashes. Using the latest sCoreForge and Excel 2010.

Got you. I'll get this corrected in the next update.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.20.0.0 : More Buffs, and minor corrections.

Hello!

I ran into a minor problem. I'm using the latest (6.20) version.

If you use a two-weapon fighting, and you use a two handed weapon (primary) with spiked armor (secondary), then the damage bonus on the two handed weapon is only 1xstrength, not 1,5xstrength.

If you use any weapon (if possible) with two hands you get 1,5xstrength bonus on damage.

Spiked armor is used as light weapon, but you don't need any hand to use it in combat, so you have two hands to use your two handed weapon.

Please correct it, if I know the rules right.

Thanx!

Haszim

Well, you found a interesting loophole in the rules. NORMALLY with two-weapon fighting, you have a weapon in one hand, and another in the other hand. I don't really have anyway around that right now. I'm going to have to think about that one. Can you submit a trouble ticket for it?

Dear bluecanary:

I was using v.6.20.0.0, and I couldn't find traits for the Reign of Winter campaign. I had that selected as a sourcebook, but it seemed to pull up different campaign traits. I then selected all sourcebooks, but still couldn't find them.

I was specifically looking for Vigilante Witch Hunter, never saw it. Perhaps it's coded as a different kind of trait?

Still loving your work!

AON has it also as "People of the North pg. 31"

It is said to be broken when I try to open it.

I guess I have problem with RAM to process the huge files.

Yeah I had the same issue - which was strange... :(

bookmarking this, thanks for all the work

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.22.0.0 : Minor corrections. Total file rebuild. Crash Test Save option for trying out new crash options.

OK, I've remade the file, and it isn't perfect, but it crashes less. Is there anyone out there using Office 64 bit? I have found out that the 32 bit version that I uses, and I would guess 90% of the world, has a cap of 2 Gb RAM. And Seems the most basic of functions hoards ram.

What I NEED to do to get this thing back, is remake every drop down, check box, and all the background formulas, and how I did just about everything.

Life is not going to let any of that happen.

I don't think I have these in at all. I don't have the time to work on it like I once did. But as long as I keep playing, I'll do what I can to keep this alive.

Thank you, Blue, for all your work on this project. I learned BASIC and, later, Excel, to create characters for original D&D / AD&D, so it warms my heart to see the torch still lit.

I thank you as well. I still use this. A lot. I find it better than all of the other options out there, commercial or not.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v6.23.0.0 : Lots of minor bug fixes. A few new traits (RoW), and a single magic item.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v7.0.0.0 : Added multiple sources, archetypes, feats, traits, and a handful of bug fixes and requests.

Liberty's Edge

Hi Blue Canary!
First of all thanks for the great job.
But I fear I can't use the last version, it takes forever to load and crashes my Excel (Professional 2010 64 bits).

Hey, whenever I go to the Options menu after making my character, this program crashes, usually after going to the Feats menu.
Using Microsoft Office 2013 64 bit

How do you use the Animal Companions page? The only way for me to select an animal is with the override drop down but nothing happens when I select it.

Pigg3h wrote:

Have you selected anything on the Specifics tab? Did you select a class on the Animal Tab?

Just a thought. Would it be possible to have 1 separate spreadsheet for each base class in addition to 1 monster spreadsheet that tries to cover everything?

The current spreadsheet is very useful and awesome, but it's extremely slow due to the tons of calculations needed every time there is any change. And it's very prone to errors due to having to account for every possible interaction between every class, archetype, feat, trait, etc.

Single spreadsheets per base class would be a lot smaller, manageable, faster, and easier to audit. And the majority of the time, most people just single class anyway. The people who multi-class can continue to use the current spreadsheet but it would make life a lot easier for those who intend to stay in one class forever.

I love scoreforge... been using it for quite a while now and I recommend it to everyone.

Only thing I would like to see added is an option for gestalt. As a GM, I get a lot of requests to run gestalt games, but I would feel more comfortable running one if I could plug the characters into scoreforge and make sure they are correct.

Keep up the great work...

Dan

Is there a work around to the latest versions freezing up?

Liberty's Edge

Not that I know of. Update your Excel version?

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v7.1.0.0 : Several minor corrects, Vital Strike, and updated races for 'Young' rules. Also added option for Alchemist Bomb discovery effects to weapons tab.

Several people have asked me about this, but there are no 'official' paizo gestalt rules. And I don't know if I could really ever do it. I'm looking at you Clerics and Rogues. What I have told people is create a custom archetype by importing one class and applying it as an archetype to the other.

Its a little harder then that, but that is the basic idea. I know I have gone in to large detail before.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v7.1.0.1 : Quick update. I had left in some test values, and failed to change one of the drop downs for Alchemist Bombs.

Also for those who have been having memory issues, check to see if 'Auto Save' is turned on. I'm not sure why, but I was able to run the sheet for an entire day without getting the memory error. This was the only thing different I could see.

I'll try that. Thanks, BlueCanary.

Looks like that is a decent fix. Thanks!

Cool things!

New Version of sCoreSpell out today. - sb.0.11.0.0 : Beta. Added options for Bonus CL for element spells. Minor spell text adjust, and small bug fixes.

Hey I have been using your sheets since beta I love it.

The autosave option should it be on or off.

Second I noticed that if I hide all the tabs I am not using that cuts down on the freezing. Its a drag but it beats by hand.

Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)

Greeting Blue Canary,

I want to thank you and your wonderful team regarding sCoreForge Pathfinder Character Creator. I found sCoreforge to be an excellent Character Creator and I am super impressed with the Excel work that went into this project.

I apologize in advance if this question was already asked, but are there any plans to add in the beta version of Advanced Classes?

Again fantastic work!

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v7.2.0.2 : Added Dungeoneer's Handbook material. Lots of requested items added, and fixes done.

Three Years ago, on July 9th, 2011 I published my first version of this project. It has grown a lot bigger then even I would have guessed. I chugged the sheet through a 'cleaner' application, and I am hoping that this helps out a lot of you with the load issues.

Not going to add them until the book is official. They are sneaky about changing things last minute.

Actually this was a 'feature' I added in a few versions back. I have/had a netbook for gaming, and this option sped up the process a lot for me.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v7.3.0.0 : Alternative Race Variant changes. Evangelist and Gestalt options added.

In the process of figuring out how to add the Evangelist to the sheet, I also figured out how to add something not unlike the Gestalt class option of old.

The Gestalt is not perfect. Things getting fuzzy when you add a class, say Fighter (Bard), and then add Wizard (Bard). But if you just add Fighter (Bard) 30 times, you are perfect. Or Fighter (Bard), Bard (Fighter).

The Gestalt options can be found at the bottom of the Customs tab.

On the the text for the colorize character sheet is missing. The check box is there, but the text is missing. It also doesn't turn the range box orange (cell c70).

I searched the thread for anything with "Mythic" first. Is there a plan to incorporate Mythic Adventures? I would love that for help with NPCs and checking PCs in our WotR campaign. Thanks!

Mark

New Version of sCoreSpell out today. - sb.0.12.0.1 : Beta. Metamagic Feat Options. Sorcerer and Wizard Elemental Adjustment. Spell Card improvements. Major change to Cross Class spell option.

For Classes that select new spells each level, and those spells are not on their normal list, (Looking at the Hexcrafter Magus), spells added to the Cross Class spell tab can be added as a selection option on their spell tab. Once spells are added to the Cross Class Spell tab, return to your normal spell selection tab, (Magus Spells), and use the 'Rebuild' button. The new spells will be added to the bottom of the list.

I do what to add it, but I am still trying to wrap my head around how. I need to do some more reading how the book really works.

New Version of sCoreForge out today. - v7.4.0.1 : Many minor corrections. Added Mystery Cultist, More Boons, Alternative Class Favored Class Bonuses, More Buffs, and some missing Archetypes.

Back from vacation, and waiting for Advanced Classes Book. Do you think I might get it for my birthday?

Just wanted to say thanks for the new version. Using Office 2007 and I had been stuck with the 6.2 version for a while as updates since then had crashed after just a few moments of use. The new versions 7.3 and 7.4 appear to be stable on my computer.

Great job!

Not allowed per FAQ:

Armor Spikes: Can I use two-weapon fighting to make an "off-hand" attack with my armor spikes in the same round I use a two-handed weapon?

No.
Likewise, you couldn't use an armored gauntlet to do so, as you are using both of your hands to wield your two-handed weapon, therefore your off-hand is unavailable to make any attacks.

As mentioned in an earlier post I am waiting for the official book to come out before I publish anything. Having said that I am actually pre-loading the sheet as we speak with some basic information from the playtest. I have several areas I am going to have to re-build because of this book. The spell sheet has to have a major overhall if I want it to still be 2003 compatible.

Down side I will not buy the book until after my birthday in the hope that I get a gift card again this year. So look for this book to be added sometime in early September.

Someone pointed out that I left in a little test data on the Feat Tab. I uploaded a cleaner version so as of today anyone who down loads the sheet shouldn't see this issue. (Feat selected changed your initiative from dex to charisma.)

The future. OK I'm having some issues. I am not sure if this sheet can keep going. There are some major memory issues. And some of it might be my fault, but a lot of it has to do with how MS does things. I started added in the new classes for PFACG, and now the sheet isn't functional at all. It just crashes, and crashes. I've been looking into converting the sheet over to some other application, but is it worth it? I could break the sheet down again, but this will just slow down the same issue we are already having.

Thoughts? Ideas? Does anyone care?
