About 3 hours ago I became unable to access the paizo websites from my home computer. I am able to access from my phone, which I'm on now. I've tried reseting the network, using another pc, my iPad, and my phone on WiFi. I've also tried internet explorer and Google Chrome. So far I still can't access it. All other sites seem to work finen. Any ideas what else to try?
We upgraded our internet connection today. However, as a result of this, some people can't connect with us due to an issue upstream of us.
We're trying to get it taken care of as soon as possible.
Thank you for the quick response! Just wanted to make sure nothing on my end. Hopefully ends up an easy fix.
I too am still unable to access Paizo via my laptop...

Same here. Can access from phone, but not ipad or PC.
I can access it now, but it's agonisingly slow. Can't access the PRD.
It's odd, neither me or my friends can access the page. The only way I can access it currently is via a canadian proxy server, anyone able to access only on one device or so, consider temporarally using a free proxy server, seems to do the trick.

Ok I was worried it was me, not the site. good luck on resolving it.

I'm affected too. I was about to embark on a major virus-scan-etc. effort, so I'm glad I tried a different device and saw this thread.
If the fix is going to take much longer, I'd suggest that Paizo send out an email notification of the issue.
I was having a problem from home yesterday as well. I don't know if it persists today, I'm at work so I can't check it.
In Chicago, I can get on no problem using AT&T, but at home last night over Comcast I was blocked. Was able to partially access the Campaign's tab using https:, but not with http:, and then could not get any further as all the imbedded links are http:. Was able to briefly get on using a proxy server and had no problem on my phone over AT&T - but hate posting on my phone as it is unbearably tedious to type everything and review what I type.
Yeah, I can get the main messageboard page from my Comcast connection, but threads won't load. Here on the Android, things are fine. Pretty crazy.

Thank you for the suggestion, I could barely see the messageboards and definitely couldn't get into it. The connection via proxy is still more sluggish than I'd like, but at least I can finally sign in.
EDIT: I may have spoken too soon. 3 minutes just to try to check an alias is rendering this not much better :(
I had the unable to access threads problem as well but entering something into the search bar seemed to fix it for some reason.
Only access via phone; on pc no access to threads or account.
Weird: me too. I can't access individual threads via either my Mac or Pc, but my iPhone works fine. Doubly weird since they're all connecting via the same WiFi access point.
Lots of complaints from friends in UK/EU who can't access at all.
Here in Ukraine, I don't notice any difference. If anything, it all seems faster. Huzzah!
Had to disable wifi on my phone to get to this page. It appears that access to your site is only available via 3G networks. My laptop can't load any pages, unless they are on your secure https site.
Same here i can only view threads via phone
.
I wonder has anyone tried access trhough a wireless tether through their phone?
I just got into the site and most threads don't want to open for me. Perhaps it's been fixed but the site's been wonky for me for almost twenty hours now. I figured I'd better try to post here first. Not even sure this will go through actually.
I cannot access on my computer or on my phone (3G); currently I'm using a proxy and that's working for me, but it's very slow and I'll be glad when this is fixed.
I can't access the site from my computer but I can with my iPhone
Can we get an update from Paizo, please?
The update is: we are aware of the problem, our ISP is aware of the problem and they are investigating.
I believe we have all the information we need currently so no need to let us know if you can or cannot connect at the moment. If the situation changes we'll let you know.
Connecting from my office PC: I can access just fine with our WiFi network, but not with our wired Ethernet network. Wired and wireless are on different gateways, but both connect via the same commodity Internet provider.
Connecting from my iPhone: can connect fine via AT&T 3G and my corporate WiFi network.

We switched our internet back to the old connection for the time being and everything seems to be back to normal. We are still going to need to switch over to the new, faster, connection at some point but hopefully our ISP will have figured out what the problem was before making that switchover happen.
Just want to say couldn't get on from phone, ipod, or home computer... Until you changed back to the old version...
I'm glad to hear y'all are working on getting a faster connection for your servers. I've noticed some extreme lag at peak times in the past months.
I had been unable to access the site since last night via my wired ISP but not via my cellphone. I'm pleased to say that has changed and access has returned. Glad to see everything (for me at least) is back up and running!

Using wired local ISP.

The problem was pretty widespread - I was unable to connect from my local home network in California (via Comcast), or from sites in New York and Virginia pretty much directly connected to the main internet trunks.
I suspect some routing tables didn't get updated correctly.
Get a plumber, obviously somethings clogging up the new internet tube.

From New Zealand I could sometimes get to the main page of the message boards, but nowhere else on the Paizo site. I tried two different ISPs for the same result. Interestingly, the boards did manage to mark the threads I opened via the 'X new' links as read even though they didn't actually open for me.
From Poland, large and generally stable ISP provider: I had normal access to prd and I could enter the main page of messageboard but nowhere else.

From laptop and iPad no connections since dawn about 24 hours ago; went to work 7 hours ago and still no luck.
Just got home and it's working now; sometimes the old ways are better.
We've been back on the old connection since Wednesday, but we're about to test the new connection, so hold onto your hats!
We're now on the new connection and it looks good so far.
course If anything bad had of happened it would have happened a few minutes ago when I was updating my campaign journal, lucky for me I was able to post that and then see this note about you moving to the new connection. What I would have expected to have happen was to have the update time out, go into chat to discover that you made the update again, and then wait till Monday before I could get back in to complain :P
Yeah Gary, I'm cool as a cucumber now.
Well, maybe not THAT cool.
