One more thing, Michael Costello (and fellow players), if it's possible maybe we could start Bloodcove Disguise a little early (6:30pm?) so we don't have to cut it short.

Sovereign Court

I see that Shades of Ice III was added and I signed up for the last seat. Any chance that we could find a seat for my wife in that game as well?

I am not. My summoner will haste the party, glitterdust the invisible stuff, and dim door 2 tanks to the bad guys face so they may full attack turn 1 instead or of wasting their time actually walking over to the bad guys for one attack. Is this what you had in mind for us supporting you? I may also know someone who can meet that sacrafice of blood if we run across that expectation aswell.

If there are any GMs who are not running but would like to run tier 7-11 games in either the 1PM or 7 PM slots please let me know.

Mark, if there is a way to private messages on boards, I am not familiar with it. I do not know if will be there early enough for the 1pm slot so I choose not to sign up for anything but I will try. Besides playing, I may be able to dm a game for you @ 1. Signed up to play @ 7.

Disclaimer, I have a reputation for long tables. Even trying to turbo through takes 4&1/2 hours. I also have not dmed levels 6&up since Living Grayhawk. I may not be the best choice but if the players know up front and the only other choice is to leave with no game, they might not mind. Or maybe I could run a lower table and you switch a dm with more high level exp. I will write back here soon with a list of mods I would be faster at running(having done them before).

THIS OFFER STANDS FOR THE WHOLE CON(save slot 1&10, only slots I have real tickets for).

Dark Archive

from what you have scheduled @ 1, I could run:
Delirum's Tangle
Shades of Ice 2
Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible
I am also plannig to bring FOR THE CON:
shades of ice 3
pallid plague
city of strangers part 1
shipyard rats
darkest vengence

Oh, I meant it more literally than that. :)

Trisha has this reputation for leaving party members behind (to her own demise). Thea's fighter usually has his hands full, and my cleric can barely carry his holy symbol.

Between your boots, my Word of Recall, and Trisha's dimension door, we'll be just fine. Besides, unless Todd has been drinking, he's a pushover... wait. We're playing in a BAR? *crap*

I'm still not worried, however, since he could hardly be any tougher than he was at WYC. I mean, ALMOST nobody died.

EIGHT tables in the 1pm slot? Holy jebus!

Everyone please remember that we're occupying these tables for 5 hours instead of the normal ~60 minutes. Be kind and order food and a few drinks. And don't forget to tip your GM, er, I mean server.

I will be there. Gen. Goldfrapp the Naked TALDORAN Trebuchet of the TALDORAN Trebuchet Army in Absalom will need to sing the glories of TALDOR in a setting such as a bar. I didn't register, but I will do so soon. OR I'll just be there. Naked.

Just as a suggestion it might be worthwhile to pass the collection basket around each slot for the servers. The 1-5 and 7-11 are primetime for any establishment and a couple of bucks from each player would go along way to being invited back next year.

My 2 cents carry on

Brother Jamon,

If you are still out there, it sounds like a slot opened up for Mantis' Prey. We'd love a melee machine, and it doesn't hurt that you follow the true path (all glory to Cheliax and its master Asmodeus!).
Sign up if the opening's still there.

For my fury table at 1pm.. I'm calling the original 6 signed up -- Dane, Michael, Robyn, Bob, Thomas and Chad -- Given the tier that will end up being run at, I don't feel comfortable running this as a 7 player table and being able to finish on time.

Four of us are coming into Indianapolis tomorrow around 4 pm and we plan on going to Scotty's soon after. We might try to see if there's an open game or maybe even put an ad hoc game of You Only Die Twice together if there's enough people.

Is it legal in Indianapolis to have two Kyles under the same roof?

It is indeed legal. However, I just read in the 4.0 Guide it is not legal to have two Kyles at the same table. This can be found under the heading Maximum Kyle Size. :P

I'm thinking of running a table at 7pm. I have a friend coming to GenCon and introducing him to PFS. My wife might want to play also. So instead of trying to shoehorn into a game, I'm willing to run if there are enough in the overflow to fill out the table. Don't know which mod yet.

I know Nebelwerfer41 is looking to try and get his wife into a 7 pm game for Shades of Ice part 3. Try to find me and we'll see what we can do :)

Well my ride is not coming to pick me up till around 11am or Noon, so a 1pm game is out for me, so not PFS fun on Wednesday for this cowgirl.

I will stop by and see how everyone is doing, and will most likely join in Marks set up party for the remainder of my afternoon.

Same for me, I'm afraid. My flight was messed up, so I'm not getting into Indianapolis until 12:42. Which really sucks. I was really hoping to play.

Boo hoo! This new job makes planning for last minute stuff really sucky. I'd love to be at a Thea or Kyle table (esp. in a bar setting!), but I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope for it once the con officially starts... :-)

I'm diisapointed that all of the walk-ins, including all of them that showed up after us, they all got seats while we three got sent back to our hotel empty handed.

Kevin, I'm sorry you didnt get seated. Mark did a lot to make sure people got a table. I think there was a shortage of DM's especially at the 7pm slot cause of the Venture Captain dinner.

I appreciate trying to get us in a game, and now that I read this after the fact, I feel a little guilty about dropping out of the game Wed night. We had just come into town from two days of hiking and camping and we both felt like crap. Rather than drag down a whole table with our drowsiness, we opted to bow out of the game.

We'll be better prepared next year. See you at Whos Yer Con if not sooner (PentaCon, anyone?)

Thanks for setting this up Mark G and thanks for GMing Cactus Jack.

The mustering for the 7pm was a little crazy, but we made it work. It's difficult because we had people who either didn't show up or who were late. I was wondering if I was going to play a solo adventure at one point (no... really). I had 2 drop-ins at my table in the end.

Anyway, good times, I look forward to maybe playing an afternoon slot next year, when it's less noisy and less crowded.

Looking for Tom Burke.

I wanted to see if you could share the 'extra' goblins that you had for We Be Goblins. I'm going to run it this Friday and would like to offer up those additional choices.

Ya, well I was willing and ready to GM, so it wasn't that. And ALL of the walk-ins who came in AFTER us were seated except us.

But whatever. I know better now than to go to Scotty's for pre-con PFS games now. I've gone there the last two cons and it gets worse each time. Noisy, crowded, and poorly run. Please don't schedule it there again next year.

The place where you ran the pre-con mod for us in '09 was a much better place and it was much better with Doug putting it together.

Kevin,

Please take this in the context that I consider us friends, however, that is the most chidish, snottiest, mean spirited thing I've ever heard you say. Color me as offended as I get at this point.

Mark G. Organized this in his free time so that some of us could game before hand. After he had the timing set a VC dinner was scheduled that counteracted his being able to handle the muster for the last slot.

John was gracious enough to fill in and work at mustering tables scattered all over, a noisy and crowded place and dozens of walk-ins that were milling all over and clamoring for a seat, and the players that had actually signed up looking for their tables as well as delaying the start of the game that he was signed to be running so that things could go off as stress free as possible. To b*$*+ at someone over failing at your expectations is wrong.

As for a walk-in status, it's not like warhorn hasn't been plastered all over this thread for months and anyone who walked in couldn't have signed up so they could be guarented a spot. Walk-ins shouldn't expect a table, they can only show up in hopes of getting a spot but can't expect one.

Complaining to Mark about the noise is crazy, there is absolutely nothing nothing he can do about the noise or the crowd; being in a bar that should be something one expects especially at a bar on a gaming convention weekend.

As one of those that volunteered to run games at Scotty's and to spend my time *hopefully* providing a good pre-con game experience I take great offense to a sour grapes attitude from a walk-in.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/5 ***

Since I was not there for the 7pm slot, I cannot comment on the inclusiveness. However, there was at least one table that chose to play outside where it was much quieter. And apparently they really enjoyed that experience.

Scotty's is a great venue for gaming. The staff is exceptionally nice and they embrace the chaos that we bring in. Ownership is extremely in to this deal printing special gamer menus, hanging banners/posters, commissioning special d6's, and showing classic gamer movies on their numerous TV's.

Sure if can be crowded and sure it can be loud, but how often to we get this much coolness in one place? In addition to gaming, food is delivered directly to your table, and you can drink to your heart's desire selecting from a wide array of mirco-brews. Not to mention, the back-room table is sweet!

I, for one, will continue to make Scotty's my pre-con hangout and will assist Mark in whatever he needs to make it the place to be on Wednesday.

I was the GM who ran outside and being an indoor person myself I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked out. We had a big pavilion umbrella for shade, fans to help keep things cool, more table room than indoors and absolutely no noise to yell over. I was sceptical, but I will run outside again if given the opportunity.

Also, the server informed us that with the Super Bowl a giant climate controlled tent will be erected which requires permanent footings. Scotty's will be able to pull that out for events in the future to cover the entire patio and keep it climate controlled.
