yay!
New school rule: No BOMBS to be thrown at melee's involving party members, has ended really badly :p
Going to have to happen eventually. Berry's even made to minimise the damage that way. Sadly all the precaution in the world doesn't help when the dice roller hates you.

I am not finding it this morning. I want to verify my armor check penalty.
MW lessens the armor penalty by 1 so:
Full Plate Mail -6+1 = -5
Hvy Shield -2+1 = -1
so a -6 armor penalty.
I thought you had bought mithril plate? that would make a big difference.

I have to say I'm normally a big Pett fan and I'm all for interesting combat situations-
BUT zombies with a -1 dex mod doing hard labor on a walkway that requires acrobatic checks????
I'm calling Shenanigans.

Zyren Zemerys |

It's not Pett's fault. The module states several times that these zombies are specially treated and have normal human appearance and movement abilities. You only recognize their zombie-ism by looking in their eyes. So he explained the shenanigans quite well :)

The module states several times that these zombies are specially treated....
oh, they're "special" zombies... that settles it :P
actually I was thinking zombies had dex 8, but might have been thinking in 3.5. Fast zombies would have been appropriate, but I think this adventure might have pre-dated the PF Core rules.
Either way, Pitr will sit back and enjoy the show. Don't forget the auto -1 on your acrobatics checks for the acrid smoke now, Solaric ; )

My favourite zombies are apocalypse zombies by far, they're annihilating the HOD crew atm :)
I'd say bad rolls and fear of what's ahead is killing us more. I got the feeling if I used one or two of the buffs I have to boost my attack roll Alcheringa and Solfan would still have unmelted faces.

My wife has the same problem with our cat, Fern, but Fern does not seem to bother me at all. Every morning the cat climbs up on her and demands food. I just sleep through it all.
My cats will sleep quietly at the foot of my bed until early morning, then they decide it's time to get up and explore my room. Climbing up onto my bedside table and bookshelf and knocking things off or rattling papers. Go in and out of the curtains shining light in my eyes etc. I always make sure they have food and water before I go to bed so they aren't hungry, just nosy and annoying.
Use to have a cat though, that would wake me up every morning at 5 am by putting his cold, wet nose on mine and then meowing really loudly. I about had a heart attack the first time he did it, nothing like getting startled out of sleep to see a giant fuzzy face right in front of yours.

Ah, hello there Zyren and a good morning to you. I was just about to give my goodnight post and head to bed (again I've been up all night *sigh*). I've got some e-mails to check so I'll go do that and then come back to see if you've posted in HORI. Otherwise, have a good day :)

Danke Schoen! I knew you had quite the library :)
I've had a ton of stuff, but due to my mobility I usually sell it all off when I change systems :P

Zyren Zemerys |

We're also moving house next month and I'm already terrified...think I'll have to hire someone to carry them...
Mind Thrust (SU): A brain in a jar can spend a standard action to deliver a massive assault on the thought pathways of any one creature, undermining its intellect. This mind thrust deals 2d10 damage to any target that fails a Dc 14 will save.Save is CHA based.
Madness (SU): Anyone targeting a brain in a jar with a thought detection, mind control, or any sort of telepathic or psionic ability that makes contact with its tortured mind takes 1d4 points of WIS damage.
Psionics: 3/day suggestion (DC 16), telekinesis (DC 18), 1/day dominate person (DC18). Manifester level 10th. Save Dcs are CHA based.
The values you mentioned refer to rebuke undead, not to the mind thrust.

Since Bilbo is not here to protest, my vote is to have Harry and Kaynk toss the burning gnome into each room and see what happens.
Just be careful, or Sir Rekkart might grab the quiet Varisian and drag him off to meet Mort.

Karlan would protest! This would put the gnome in significant danger and is not something that he as a paladin would ever agree to!
Tie him to a rope so I can heal him once we drag him out...

Hey Zyren - did you ever watch a show called 'Telematch' in Germany while growing up? (that would be 'It's a Knockout' for you Aussies and UK types)
Turns out Australia is doing a reboot of the series being filmed in KL of all places (for insurance reasons) and are asking for 'Caucasians' to be in the audience so it still looks almost like it's being filmed in Aus still.
Gives a flavour of what it's about - fun starts about a minute in...
