Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

lol nice discussion- I also have one finished and one pretty much finished selfmade RPGS...about 1.2k pages of rules and background in summation^^

I had some chats with interested publishers, but they wanted to change too much of my baby, so I kept them they the way they are^^

@ Bree:

Did you play 1X1 most of the time?

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

He had the game all laid out in his head but had trouble putting words to paper. I knew the game so intimately I could have written it for him if he would have allowed it, but alas, it was (as you said) his baby.

Much of that time, yes, we did play one on one. However, we did also bring in many other people over the years to play. Most of them only playing for a few months or so (some only a few sessions) before loosing interest or realizing my ex was a prick. He chased away a lot of people over the years. I don't know why it took me so long to get together the will to truly leave him, though I had tried several times before.

I had an ex-gf demand she got unicorns and pegasii etc. I told her frankly she could hold her breath 'til her face went blue, wasn't gonna happen.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Lol, how did she respond?

Gah, OK it's 5:36 am. I had a long nap last night, and have been up since then. I have tons of stuff to do later so I'm going to try to go get some more sleep. You guys have a good night :)

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Bye!

@ Shifty, heh, sounds like someone I know^^ :)

What up, folks. Got saddled with a 24 shift at work which was actually more like 27 then decided I wasn't going to waste a Friday off sleepin and now am on the verge of paying the price staying up 38 hours and having a couple of beers, lol. I may hold off on in game post to avoid incoherent run sentences.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

hey sounds like a great start for a weekend^^

VC - Sydney, Australia

Sounds like an awesome weekend!

Most of my Pl flew off to the training ex today, only a few of us left to twiddle our thumbs for a few weeks. Sort of sucks looking at all my packed field gear. Never mind :)

Dungeon Master

Shifty, I do feel really bad for you. It really sucks to be restricted like that. However, at least you get to play lots more PBP! : p

Haha, I really do not enjoy going to the FTXs. We have one coming up soon and staying in a tent in Okinawa in the middle of summer is not fun. We are down wind from the dump, a pig farm and a crematorium. It will be like 85 degrees F and 90% relative humidity at 0430 and all three of those places will be on high stink. What a way to start the day, lol.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

rofl

VC - Sydney, Australia

Kinda sucky, I get another crack in six months. Mind you this one is in another horrible cold place, 17 days out bush under hootchies.

I hear that about stink, but after the first week without a shower or change of clothes everything smells of b.o., foot mank, and ballsweat...
the last time I was in field we didnt wash for a fortnight, just changed undies and socks from time to time and wash the 'essential bits' with babywipes. But of course, make sure you are PERFECTLY clean shaven by sun up :p

That S.H.I.T. is freakin' awful, man. You'll be out there in your armor all day sweating like freak and then not be able to shower for a week or more. Pretty soon no one can smell anything and then you come in to civilized territory and realize how horrible you all smell. Awesome! HAHAHA.

VC - Sydney, Australia

No its when some guy who rocks up with the truck to pick you up, the guy who has showered daily and been given three hot meals daily and sleeping at the FOB, turns around and goes 'geez you guys stink' and pulls that face.

I give up on underwear after a day or two there and the shave thing is bs, haha. Glad to hear we have many of the smae issues the world over.:)

I hope t be that guy some day, haha.

Typing beginning to take on zombie quality. Negro Modelo and sleep dep gaining upper hand.

haha! sounds like the time I had a girlfriend pick me up at the airport after I'd been roaming around Jamaica for a week all feral like, sleeping in mangroves, and fighting off the runs . she nearly refused to let me in the car, but allowed me to sit in the back with all the windows down and I had to shower immediately before I even unloaded anything.

oh yeah, and this rasta tried to rent me his bed that had like 5 years of sweat funk on it. a couple hours of that and i decided to just sleep in the woods : P

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Good morning again everyone.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

And goodbye!

Cya tomorrow folks.

Dungeon Master

Good morning Bree! I hope you have a great day!

Folks, I am going to my inlaws in the morning for the weekend and will not have easy access to a computer. I will be back on Tuesday night. As always, please feel free to DMPC as needed.

Bree, You are looking out the wrong window. The sun is going down now. :P

By the way, are you getting any of our lovey New Mexico smoke lately? We ate a bunch of Arizona smoke and thought we would pass it on.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

DM Harpwizard, thank you kindly. I hope that your day is absolutely splendid! Have fun at your in-laws (??) this weekend.

Sebastian, yeah, it was around 2 pm when I got up here. I was up so late last night. Ah, idk about the smoke, really, I hadn't paid much attention. I've been avoiding being outside as much as possible because I don't take well with the heat. I do recall seeing the haze from the Arizona fire's though, and it made the sun look a really awesome shade of red, lol.

Dungeon Master

Zyren:
I just realized that you have given Celestra 3700 x.p. Thank you! I am nearing completion of her character sheet. I have also been waiting in the wings thinking about how to enter. I presume somewhere in the town outside of the dungeon. A tavern seems like a natural place for Celestra to hang out. Uncle Dugmar is working as bartender at Cracktooth's Tavern, but Celestra is happy to explore any part of town that you like.

Male Orc Expert 5

General warning to all my games.

I will be out of touch for a week as I will be going to a place with no internet connection. This is a drive I do not wnat to make, with people I don't like, to stay with them for a week in a place I dont want to go for a time I cannot financially afford. If you do not hear from me in a week check the news for a mass murder. That is all.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ Bree:

I guess in-laws are parents in law?!

@ Tark:

Hey Tark, that sounds great, did you pack enough shells for everyone?

@ DMHW:

Once they have left the dungeon, there will be plenty of opportunities.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ Bree and Shifty:

I think the situation with the thug, threatening to kill the priest, was one, where an "evil DM" decides to kill the priest just to make the player feel bad, yet I always think that a world has to be believable. The thug would have won nothing and dying just for getting your will a last time isn't a thing that would appear realistic, I think.

Indeed, Winter would have worked out (with a decent Int and high Wis) that this guy was basically stuffed. His only option was to go away quietly... he kills the Priest and then we kill him and then do what we want anyhow, for all we know its his accomplice playing along - that priest could be anybody!

Winter would have felt bad though had it ended that way, but clearly Desna smiled, and Erastil planted seeds of sense in the brigands mind...denying Pharasma the chance to judge some souls at that moment. no doubt this will end bloody though, and Pharasma will get hers shortly.

Dungeon Master

Well yesterday I finally did it! I ordered an electric harp. It's called the Silhouette. I have wanted one for years, but have finally done it. It will be shipped in about a week. It's coming in Ebony. When I tell people, the biggest reaction I get is . . ."What are you going to do with it?" I laugh, because this is totally outside of people's comprehension. I don't think they realize that these even exist. I can't wait to see their reaction once I start playing it. This is what my brothers think I might be doing. Cool Man on Harp. I wonder if they are right! : )

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Wow! That's really cool. I always liked harps for their elegant sound.

Don't forget, Vicky will look like this by night^^

That's me off to the coast of Maine! Have a great day everyone!

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I have been to Maine twice, and liked it very much-perfect lobsters, nice people and awesome nature...*sigh*

This is awesome too.

Good Morning Everybody! I'm going to be on and off all day today, it's a busy day. My mother has come to spend some time with me, as she and her boyfriend are breaking up so it's time for me to be the good daughter (I'm the only daughter).

I just wasn't sure his feelings on his in-laws. Some people get along great with them, others not so much. :)

I'm actually not caught up in the game atm, so I haven't seen how that played out yet! I'll go look and post now!

No way, the horns are too big :p

Sadly, only part Succubus, but taking the Witch traits/hexes that most closely replicate the Sucubii abilities - so a default version.

Do we have any love for Cthulhu around this campfire? I'm toying with the idea of a twenties/thirties cthulhu d20 campaign.

Zyren Zemerys wrote:

I am so down for this. I have never gotten the chance to play and have wanted to for a minute now. Lemme know if you get this movin'.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

The good things is, that a D20 rule set is a thing most people on these boards are pretty familiar with.

And while WOTC never produced more than the core book, Chaosium did also a couple of sourcebooks, mostly about the classic hot spots, Arkham, Dunwich and Kingsport.

I'll check people's interest, then I might come up with something.

Male Halforc Ranger 5

Cthulhu is pretty damn fun, so much time spent running away screaming or crouching in a corner whimpering.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Yeah Im in a King in Yellow CoC game. Mind you we are using d100 system...

I was always a fan of Lovecraft form childhood.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ Shifty: Why has the game only 400 posts after more than half a year?

Male Human Weapon Master 6 ~ Inv. Rager 4 | AC 24 T 13 FF 22 | HP 129/129 | F +14 R +6 W +7 | Init +2

haha great discription Kanyk. Im definitely interested in a Cthulhu game. Ive read a couple of Lovecrafts book and a horror style game would be awesome. I have a friend also playing on these boards that would be into also.

Will Mi-go snatch your brain?. Do it!

I have the d20 rulebook also.

The BBEG in Ch 1 of my Freebooter game was the 'Man in Yellow' and his 'Thing on the Doorstep'-ish servant.

Of course, they may have been inspired by Curious George as well : P

...some games are just paced that way. That said, interesting players, interesting game, and so far a fun and 'inclusive' GM, just with a different speed.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Pretty cool that the game still exists though-I thought people would lose interest if a game was going so slow.
