[edit]Managed to dig out an old modem from my 'save for a rainy day' box... so far so good!

Dang it, without you I'm sure going into the mission is going to result in blood! Gah! Lol. Oh well, hope you're back on soon!

EDIT: Whoa! Your edit wasn't showing when I hit reply. Heck it's still not showing on the thread since I haven't refreshed. Yay!

DMHW:

Looks really good, quite vanilla, but very interesting and it has some resemblances to Nualia, don't you think? That could be especially interesting. That she is an aasimar is no problem.

@ Bree:

Nice phenomenon, I guess the ghosts of the city left to build a new town....without communism.

@ Shifty:

Good point, I should also buy an emergency modem, just in case.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

What's even more strange, it didn't show up even after several refreshes until just now! It needed you to say the magic words.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

That's not strange, I'm also DMing a D20 modern campaign called "A Chinese ghost story" -_-

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Lol, oh that must be it! I was just thinking that paizo's not too fond of me tonight!

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Btw: Are you still suffering from your food poisoning?

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

I was up and down all night last night, sick with it. Throughout most of the day I felt very weak, and avoided food in general. I drank lots of mint medley tea. When I finally did give in and eat, I felt ill again for a bit but not nearly as bad and it passed. My daughter decided to take a very late nap today, of her own accord, going to sleep around 7:45 pm. I knew she wouldn't sleep through the night, but didn't have the heart to wake her so I decided to nap too. She woke back up around 11:20 pm. Since the nap, I feel perfectly fine. Thanks for asking :)

Based on the sensational films of the same name? ;p

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I hope that's not a cynical comment :)

My favourite Mnowar quote for today:

"May your swords stay wet, like a young girl in her prime" lmao *_*

VC - Sydney, Australia

Hey I like Chinese Ghost Story, a local arthouse cinema used to run the trilogy and all my martial arts friends and I would trek along and make a night of it.

Also, much love for Manowar, though not very happy with their tour arrangements... 'Warriors of the World' my foot, more like 'Warriors of Eastern Europe and occasionally Japan'

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I have once been to a Manowar concert and it was a blast...no, it was THE blast-I mean they are the loudest band on earth, and that's f+@$ing true, lol.

Not to derail the rock opera thread, but do any of you find Laibach to be insanely entertaining in a bizarre "what is going through those guys' heads?" sort of way? I do.

Also, Fact: Dwarves will swan dive into undead filled mines and catacombs instead of using ropes. Lieben.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

The "dwarves being angels" part I doubt, but Laibach are totally freaky-very weirdo, but not bad though. :)

Shifty, I'm really sorry I just blew right through that... I feel like an ass because I was really looking forward to how that situation was going to pan out, but when I came back to the thread I'd forgotten you were in the middle of preparing a ceremony/ritual. I'd read it earlier in the day, but posted Kirk's execution of that guard in a rush some hours later because I was trying to squeeze something in before disappearing for a while. I didn't mean to steal your thunder, and it wasn't very observant on my part to rush things like that. Especially because Kirk would have been extra curious to see what you had in store for him--though he really did want to kill the guy. I hope it was only a minor annoyance, and I promise to try not to butt in on other people's actions like that in game again.

I'm completely open to a retcon, if we want to go through with it, because it was my forgetfulness as a player and not my character's ego that had Kirk off the last survivor so suddenly.

Nah I thought it was quite (blackly) humourous! Actually part of the entertaining dynamic :)

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I also found it very "Kirk-ish" - speak less, kill more.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

*Sigh* The one night I'm up until 4 am and nothing happens, when I go to bed though, and explosion that leaves me in the back. Lol. Oh well. At this point all I care about is whether or not my kid will go back to sleep for a bit longer.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I keep my fingers crossed.

My maptools starts to smoke...all 4 campaigns in some kind of dungeon or fight...maps everywhere^^

I'll be off soon (playing football) See ya all tomorrow then.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Thanks, and goodnight, Zyren.

Male Wandering Nomad 3

Okay, good :) I just wanted to apologize in case I'd gotten on someone's nerves, which is the last thing I'd want.

M Chelish Fighter

ok, I'm totally metagaming here, but I was interested in the dead end passage when I thought it ended in a wall- might as well paint secret door here! on the wall.

A rubble filled passage more times than nought is shorthand for "really big complex that the GM didn't want to fill in".

i thought we were under some time constraints here...shall we move on?

Lol, probably. I bet he tried to take some kids action figures away so he could play with them himself and caught the kid's cold.

@HOR. Hello Folks, I may be your healer in your campaign. Please let me know if you think this would fit with your characters.

Zyren:
I appreciate your comments regarding Celestra. I really liked her as a priest of Sarenrae, but I agree, she was feeling a little too much vanilla. I really want characters that contrast each other and she was too close to Solaric. I have spent the last day or so thinking about who Celestra is and where she comes from. In the end, I have made her a Priestess of Cayden Cailean with a strong influence of Sarenrae in her background. Please read her background now and let me know if this works for you and the campaign. Any suggestions to help weave her story into the adventure.

P.S. If you think the Celestra that is a priestess for Sarenrae works better for your story, I would still be willing to keep her that way. This just seems to add a depth to her and some different roleplaying opportunities that Solaric does not have. Let me know your thoughts either way.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Human or Aasimar?

Dungeon Master

She would be Aasimar with human parents. Reading about them in the bestiary, it made it sound like there could be degrees of Celestial background. I wanted it mostly for the roleplaying aspect and less for the bonuses.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Hmmm you could always pick up the Heritage trait?

I have two Aasi running - great race RP wise, the practicalities of the racial features...not so much :p

[edit]Nevermind, theres only Infernal... seems you can be tainted as a low end Tifling, but theres no Aasi equivalent :( I guess it sthe fixation people have with playing evil characters.

Is racial heritage different from heritage? Is it a feat or a trait.

The Aasimar steps over to Karlan and strokes his hair. "My dear dear Karlan. Why do you bang your head like that? That looks like it hurts."

I'm sacrificing brain cells to the dice gods.

Obviously I angered them by critting two terrifying and supposedly awe inspiring encounters and wiping them off the map. While quoting awesomeness.

'Infernal Influence', Human race trait.

Whilst it doesn't explicitly call you a tiefling, there is certainly an implication in the resist and save bonus...

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

:) Hello all!

VC - Sydney, Australia

hello!

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Lol, how's your day going, Shifty?

VC - Sydney, Australia

Good :)

Went into the city for morning tea with some old work colleagues at 'my old job', my sister still works there, and bumped into my mother walking down the street. Crazy odds.

Other than that, a nice slack day...

Oh and planning my Xmas holiday to Port Stephens. The good part about Sydney, this is only an hour away. Welcome to Australia, we have a lot of epic beaches. :P

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

I've never been outside of the United States mainland. Though, Australia is one of the places I would like to visit before my time on this Earth is through.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Getting out travelling is one of the best things to do :)

I didn't mind the US, although both times I have gone I had run-ins with nutters, Canada was great, most of Asia and the Pacific is pretty good, and the UK is excellent.

Haven't really done much of Europe.

I don't mind being a low rent tourist, I like getting amongst the locals (and its REALLY cheap!).

Roadtrip across America is on my bucket list.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Well when you make that road-trip you be sure to stop by and pay me a visit. I'll try not to be too much of a nutter ;)

If I had the means to do so, I would make it my life goal to visit each country in the world, no matter how small or nondescript. I'd really like to visit Ireland though, I have a lot of Irish blood in my family so it would be nice to familiarize myself with those roots more. Primarily Irish and Native American on my mother's side. I'm not really all that sure about my father's side, I don't communicate with them as much.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Next OS trip is probably Sept next year. UK it is, with a stop off in France for Euro-Disney (thats the plan!). Travel can get pretty cheap if you are happy to simply adlib a lot of your plans... I have a 'just turn up' mentality - so far so good!

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Feel like I wrestled with a horde of honey badgers, lol.

Been to England, Ireland, several times to Greece and Spain, Italy, France and Denmark. Outisde of Europe to Turkey, Cyprus, Gouadelpupe and Martinique and the US East Coast (got relatives on Long Island), so still lots of places to discover - 'stray for example :)

@ DMHW:

The shift to Caiden is a very good choice especially because Sarenrae would maybe make you play her a little bit like Solaric-good idead.

@ Karlan:

That was a really impressive display of how not to use the dicebot.

Male Halforc Ranger 5

Been quite a few places. Ireland, Scotland, most of Europe, California and New York in the US, Canada, Israel a LOT, Egypt, South Africa, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Cambodia. Not quite sure how it happens but I seem to be lucky for getting to travel.
Prime example would be China, went for 3 weeks in college for £300 because it was subsidised by the government. No idea why they sent a load of students to China but it was really cool.
