Mornin' Ladies and Gentlemen
Getting up with Manowar :)
Ok, thx Bree for your input. I'd also nominate Grmbln for HOR (sry for the rolls) and also Grymblade.
For HOD, I'd take Kirk's Pal, Jink.
And for HOL, Bilbo.
OK, with everyone, or is anyone voting for Shuriken?

Bree Longfield |

Hahaha, yeah... I'm pretty likely to kill off (or die trying) any character Shuriken brings near any of my characters, ever.
Oh, and good morning Zyren.
Well, I have court tomorrow so I am off to shower and attempt to head to bed. I'll check back in before I crash though, to see if there's anything new and exciting going on!

Shifty |

Getting up with Manowar :)
"Hail & Kill".
Just catching up on the posts and getting a handle on it all -
Bilbo - Dwarf Pally (zomg TWO pallys!, it's gonna be like Starsky and Hutch! ...or Dukes of Hazzard?)
Jink - A 'Healer' - The druid will be pleased.
Grmbln & Grym - Tanks for HOR. Good.
I have to say that on a separate note I was quite pleased with the quality of applicants and the fact that in the main they got into the spirit of the recruitment thread and clearly read what we both wrote.

Bree Longfield |

That was expected :)
recruitment went much faster than I had eexpected, very good.
I figured, lol. I just like to clarify my distaste for the would-be pedo.
Well, I am off to bed not guys. Big day tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me :) I'll be on as soon as I can!

@ Shifty:
Best lyrics ever (well, not quite serious)
I have seen the fire
Of the thousands suns pass by
While blasphemers spread their Gospel
Bearing false witness
Now we rise
All ye children of the wild
Fists like hammers fill the air
Vast legions all immortal
Smash the stillness everywhere
Brothers of metal know no masters
Metal's our religion
Take it to the grave
Rulers of the earth
Our dawn of glory
All reborn we live again
Hold true, ye sacred army
Our last battle is at hand
Sweep this dogs from our kingdom
Bless this ground, our holy land
I wonder how up the pole that sounds to a native speaker^^

Bilbo Bang-Bang |

Hello from Okinawa, all. Thanks for picking me up and giving me a chance to play with you. I look forward to hacking my way across Ustalav with you!
Now for a few questions. From a wealth standpoint, was there any decision as to what I should be packin',are there any things I should know in order to work myself into the story, and are there any aspects you would like to see worked into the character's personality?
I'll start working on the mechanical side in a bit and look forward hearing from you soon.

Zyren Zemerys |

You can spend half of the apropriate WBL on equipment.
Regarding the story: The first characters started out as graduates of the academies of Karcau, but your character just needs a reason why he came to Karcau.
Maybe he's a fan of the opera^^
I suggest you write a rather vanilla background and then I'll think about something.

Zyren Zemerys |

@ Bilbo: That was just a test :)
@ Grymblade: Thread is here. Since Second Darkness begins with the characters arriving at the Golden Goblin to participate in the gambling tournament, I'd suggest, your ship was just late and you arrive one day too late, kay?
@ Both: take your time and skim through the campaign thread, or ask the other players, if you need specific information.

Aesop Faine |

Greetings, Aesoph Faine here, appreciate to have been chosen and I hope to have fun writing with you all and even do some good.
This is one of the new clerics for the heart of darkness campaign. I was planning on taking trickery and travel as my domains but if the roles requires bandages/undead turning/or sun giving him a tiny bit more of a traditional role, just let me know.

Kanyk |

Shifty is in Australia, but apart from that I think most people are in Europe or the US, not quite sure.
@Grymblade: After the whole recruiting thread thing, you reckon our characters know each other? Also, with two fighters we might actually have a reason to possibly take some teamwork feats.

Vaughn Elliot |

Is this absolutely insane to stay and face a dragon head on? The paladin side of me wants to attack it straight on, but the cleric side of me wants to retreat and protect the party (and myself). :-)
I'm not in the situation you're dealing with, but in my experience, we tend to make . . . a big deal about dragons. :-) There have been occasions where our table-gaming parties have stumbled across dragons and we've stayed to fight, but typically they're separate quests/missions and we take them VERY seriously.
And, Paladin's Lawful Good is NOT necessarily "Lawful Stupid." There is no dishonor in recognizing a superior foe and retreating to fight it better prepared another day--as long as you DO intend to fight it another day!!
but that's just my $0.02 .

Zyren Zemerys |

@ Bilbo and Shifty:
True, true, we have Europeans, Americans and Oceanicans (if that's the correct phrase for you Pacific guys :) )
And yeah, I also have my posting marathon each mrning :)
@ Grymblade:
Yeah, just hop off the boat and find your way to the Golden Goblin.

Karlan Bladetwist |

I like wakign up in the morning and my first act of the day being critting people. I think Gerlicks curse has finally been lifted by Emil's positive attitude and joy for life. :P
Don't care for soft rock though. GIVE ME SLAYERRRR!!!!

Kabal Breven |

I found the original recruitment thread and if we build off of that then - "The following items will be 'given' to you (no cost for purchase): backpack, waterskin, 1 days rations, flint and steel"
but couldnt find anything else on starting wealth. Are we going with standard?

Bree Longfield |

Thanks Zyren, I'm headed out in about 10 minutes. I'm just hoping this doesn't take all day. I hate sitting there listening to other peoples problems knowing that I'm about to have to go up there and talk about my own in front of a courtroom full of people. *Sigh*

Pitr Jendarne |

Is this absolutely insane to stay and face a dragon head on? The paladin side of me wants to attack it straight on, but the cleric side of me wants to retreat and protect the party (and myself). :-)
go for it. Pitr won't stop you. ; )
medium dragon possibly. anything bigger, hell NO!

garabbott |

I tend to be asleep during the busiest times of my campaigns here, so sometimes I'll come back to about 14-20 posts in each game thread and almost 40 in the OOC thread that I have to read through :P
I've started staying up later or waking up earlier, depending on what I do day by day, just so I can break up that gap of inactivity.

Bree Longfield |

Ugh, I wish I could say that I had never been in a court room. It didn't go perfectly as planned, but it went well enough. I will be so glad when this is all over with.
I live in Wichita, KS (please no Wizard of Oz jokes, I really don't think they're funny) which is GMT-5:00. I'm usually checking in between 10:00 - 11:00 am and signing off for the night between 12:00 - 2:00 am. I'm at my computer all day pretty much, so I check it obsessively.

DM Harpwizard |

But he gets up so early that I always think he must be from Spain :)
"I admit that I am an early bird, but that's because I have to be at work for 7:30 am every day. Sometimes teaching hours seem so uncivilized. This week I am burning the candle on both ends as I correct final exams every free moment, but by next week I will be free! For the summer I will become more of a night owl and less of an early bird." :-)

Shifty |

Ha, and I am trying to finish assignments, as opposed to being the one marking them. Should have this qualification knocked over in a few weeks... then start my next one. Yay :p.
We had exam week the week I got back to work - so I think I was generous with marking peoples papers due to being on drugs.
Now that I am off drugs, I look forward to rolling out field in a few weeks (medical clearance pending) for a few days. Want to test out some of my new cold weather kit.
