Apparently Pollux thinks so too. The question now is, does a large axe outweigh and is larger than a greataxe?
Tal Bernard Mainz |
I hope so as that means I would pass the save. Then once you go Polux and I am enlarged it is time to bring the pain to whichever Tieflinlg I can see. By the way where is the light source?

Tark, hope you don't mind if I offer this to your players (and you, of course), but if anyone's interested in adding to their gaming repertoire, I'm recruiting for the Savage Tide adventure path I left you all for. :)
Despite my departure, I thought the people playing in my group were pretty strong and from the glimpses here, the other group also sounds like it's got some good players. No guarantees, but you're all welcome to submit through the end of the week.
Aerieth Deventis |
My I present Aerieth Deventis, Female Elf Rogue/Wizard, for consideration in this campaign. Will likely go Arcane Trickster and/or Arcane Archer in a few levels.
Let me know what people think.
I think that my background fills in most of this but:
1) I am in Westcrown as it is near where I grew up and due to some past "indiscretions", the elf village has not allowed me to return to live there. I have a job making and repairing fine bows and arrows in Westcrown.
2) Life is about freedom and while I am not as opposed to the rule of law as are many elves, the absolute nature of the devil government in Cheliax needs to be overthrown. A return to the days of political intrigue and deceit, not the word of the devil is law.
3) Other than the occasional witty remark and bad attempts at humor, I offer decent offensive fire power, some moderate thieves skills, ranged damage and in a few levels, arcane trickery and archery. Also, depending on down time in the game, she will likely be producing Wondrous Items - and saving the party a boatload of gp.
4) She will always be quiet, it is her nature and an outgoing player with a 7 charisma is kinda out of character. Mechanically, I plan on a few more levels of wizard and rogue followed by a bunch of Arcane Trickery. If we make it that high, she will probably finish off with several levels of Arcane Archer at the end.
5) I remove my hood and politely say: Sir, while I have done wrong in the past, I do not believe that I am guilty at present. If you plan on administering justice, please use the left side of my face, that way I will have a matching scar. On the other hand, if you would like to have fun, you can take me home and I can scare the crap out of your teenage son - he will not be chasing girls for months after seeing me.
Asmodia Crispin |
Does the orphan live?
Coz... you know, Cayden wouldn't stand for an orphan dying. And well... being good with Cayden means that the group still has a healer and not an utterly s@&% combatant who needs 2500gp worth of oils, incense and a 5th level spell to be able to cast again.
TarkXT |
Aye.
I'm loving the insinuation that Asmodia is a lady of the night because she chats up dudes in bars, heals them, and sometimes hangs out with Bloodless.
*laughs*
In this city? Better that then being insinuated a cleric of a CG god. This is Stalin era Stalingrad and you're an orthodox priest still doing services behind the mans back.
Asmodia Crispin |
Sorry new lady. Asmodia and the previous elven party member did not know each other long, but care to say she left a distinctive impression.
*laughs*
And it's going to take more than being scarred up to scare a healer away. It's gonna take whispering into the ear of a hellknight about a certain goodly cleric of a chaotic god. :P

Been thinking about swapping patrons. My idea with the Trickery patron was that something like Hastur or Nylarhathotep was providing the juice. However Pollux has tended away from the subtle corruption favored by those two and into the more direct style of an Azatoth or a Yog-Sototh which seem more suited to the Insanity patron list.
Thoughts?

We have replaced Pollux's patron with Folger's Crystals. Let's see if anyone notices.

You fool! You've doomed us all!

Hey there, everyone. My flight home got munched by the big storm front on the eastern seaboard. I will not be arriving in Oslo until Monday afternoon GMT +1. And... I'm pretty freaking angry right now so it might be a few days till I get in a gaming mood.
Just assume Asmodia will go along with anything the group decides that doesn't involve children getting mutilated or doing foul things like bestiality or giving Calla a smooch or something.
Now, after being on the phone to those a**holes at the airline, I am going to get some sleep at my fleabag hotel. Hopefully.
Hu5tru |
Me? No. I just married a Norwegian national. Looking to emigrate, but the gov't don't love disabled people.
Currently sitting in toronto,
Le Vash's suggestion doesn't make sense to Asmodia. Don't have enough time left on battery to elaborate. Will be home... 12-18 hours from now. Post in 30?
So tired.
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Sorry for the long weekend, but I am good to go for a while again. Glad to see I didn't miss anything, although I was hoping all the tieflings were killed by now. I hate that darkness. AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH.
TarkXT |
@Tal: Wait until you find out what's beyond the door.
@Hu5tru: No worries. There will be plenty to do when you get available I'm sure.
@Nobles: Just waiting on a Pollux appearance to move to the next round. Forgot to mention in the post his victim suffered the hex.
Also this:
"All right, that's enough of this 'Mammon take you' business!" Sclivian calls out. "Mammon is the Prince of Greed, and he's not going to lift a finger for you unless you're prepared to pay the price. This petty operation is so far beneath his notice that he's undoubtedly let his put option on this event's outcome lapse. He reaps the best return on his investment at this time by merely claiming your souls as rightful property. So, I say.... Mammon take YOU!"
He fires off into the darkness at H24.
"By the infernal flames, I do so hate inadequately considered financial prayer statements..."
This is awesome.
Also....
@Rebels: I've dumped a handy little FAQ in the campaign tab. I suggest looking it over before some inevitable questions are asked.
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Tark what door are you talking about? I don't see any doors at all down here just this accuresed darkness.
TarkXT |
It would have probably help if the groups biggest hitters stopped rolling below ten. Seriously. Meraxilar's buffed to the gills and his opponents been reduced to hallucinating about floating still born children and wetting himself. By all rights the damn tiefling should be in a fetal position contemplating suicide to keep meraxilar from doing something unseemly with that axe.
Bejis Krupt |
Okay, I am home now but pretty wrecked. Had three different flight itineraries in less than six hours and still feel like I am going to miss a flight somewhere.
Good that you're in now, though the jet-lag and general travel wear must be taking it's toll.
The DST change still has me confused.Tirion Jörðhár |
gosh darnit, I was working on a reply, and a stray mouse click killed it. And sadly, I really do not have the energy to start again right now.
Later tonight, likely.
Perhaps you need a mousetrap to catch those Norwegian mice. Then you could use them as props to intimidate people in the play.
