Hush. I asked because Merisiel answered without pause, and I'm interested in Kyra's take on the item/consequences.

So, can we assume Valeros's standard daily routine is basically ....
step 1) Belch
step 2) *scratch his arse*
step 3) *pat somebody else's arse*
step 4) *scream for healing*Did I miss a step?

Ah, well. Zombies and wights, and some ghouls as well, have been purged from the catacombs. I do enjoy working with Seelah on tasks like this.
As a traveling cleric, do you ever go out and preach to the masses, run or assist with services to Sarenrae in the local church/shrine/cathedral/etc, or anything of the like?
I have preached on invitation before. There is not much downtime to do impromptu services, especially in regions that are not familiar with Sarenrae. I will and do speak to others on my faith, and I especially enjoy settling disagreements in a calm and peaceful manner.
Many priests and priestesses of the Dawnflower are assigned to temples. We the travelling followers are welcomed to share and attend the services of the local temple, but are rarely asked to assist. To do so would be showing that the local priest could not run their own service.
I have only done this once. The local priest was preaching falsely, and his message was not one of truth and light. It was poison. His congregation was cowed to his false teachings, and it was difficult for them to believe the truth. Luckily, the Healing Flame saw fit to relieve him of his priesthood....and his sight. He was not much for resistance after that. There was a good long month of my service to that temple before his replacement arrived.

Have you met anyone at all in your travels that made you think about stopping and settling down?
And what do you plan to do once retirement becomes an option?
Ah....yes. slowly smiles
There was such a man.....
Sadly, it was not meant to be. And so, my duty to the Healing Flame remains.
Retirement? I do not think of such things. Life is unexpected.

None of them. I would not change who they were for my own amusement. This would be a violation of their free will. And, I think that the effect of this prank would essentially cause my companions to become evil. That is not a wise thing to do.
Surely you knew this would be my answer?
That others would do this as a prank.....ugh. Shameful.

How do you feel about people who worship Urgathoa?
Do you know of any churches in Nirmathis where a cleric of Urgathoa could find employ?
I feel a STRONG dislike for them. narrows eyes
And if I DO know of any churches of Urgathoa in Nirmathas, they will be shut down and destroyed as soon as I locate them.
Sorry I would not be of more help to you.

You are....not far off.
I must give Valeros more credit than that, though. He does not stab wildly. He is rather precise. And he doesn't scream for healing. He does more of a grunt or wheeze by the time I get to him.

So what is your reaction to Merisiels stated intention to involve you in her latest nefarious plan..that is her foray into the realms of piracy? I wouldn't think that fine upstanding woman such as yourself would lower herself to such villany.
Who better to outpirate the pirates? I rather enjoy the seafarer's way.
And I'm sure that there are plenty redeemable souls in the Shackles who need to find the forgiveness of Sarenrae.....

Also remember that not all pirates need be villains.
Andoran's Gray Corsairs would be understandably considered pirates by many other inner nations. Yet, I doubt that many followers of Sarenrae would consider them evil.

This might be interresting to you, and there is a question.
Elsewhere in these message boards, a group of heroes reports that their priest of the Dawnflower has converted a goblin to a primative worship of Sarenrae.
Here is what is reported, so you do not have to waste your valuable time chasing the information down:
"Anywho, the goblin, Geep, has taken to wearing vestments cut out of burlap sacks and marked with poorly drawn iconography. He's been sneaking off to a corner of the fighter's followers current base in Kaer Maga, building an effigy of Sarenrae(visualized as a fearsome female goblin whose head can be set on fire for rituals or whenever Geep is bored or whenever Geep is breathing) and painting(poorly) pictograms all over the walls of some of the ruined buildings nearby as a sort of holy book as he understands the faith(remember, no writing).
He doesn't exactly have a good handle on what Sarenrae is really about, but he's getting there. Unfortunately the Sarenraen priest currently babysitting him in lieu of the actual party's cleric is a 13 year old former street urchin, who while good is hardly going to curb this goblin's more gobliny tendencies all that much beyond guiding him towards a CG alignment.
Geep is eventually going to start preaching to the scattered goblin populace in Kaer Maga."
Seeing this, would you have any words of advice for this Cleric on helping this goblin worshiper?

Why are there so many similar questions here to questions folks are asking me over on my thread? Kyra and I are different people! Ask us different questions!
Yes, I saw that, too. The answers are going to be different, so I can see why they are asking us both. Keep in mind, I don't answer silly and superfluous questions. Merisiel, however, does.
Also, Kyra hates scythes, because they're usually attached to Urgathoa flunkies.
Scythes are meant to be a farmer's tool. That those irredeemable undead-lovers of Urgathoa prefer them....
I'm helping! What do I get as a prize, Kyra?
Thank you, Merisiel. A....um, a hug?

Truly? Well, I...ah...that is indeed a strange redeeming. My advice is to keep a close watch on this goblin. And, I would NOT allow him to spread the word of Sarenrae, as he does not understand much of the teachings, it seems. I cannot imagine what twisting of meanings this one would lay to the words of the Dawnflower in the attempt to "preach" to other goblins. It must be strongly explained to this creature that it takes YEARS to be entrusted to the position of priest, and have the duty that priests have. He is a follower, and he must practice his faith in Sarenrae through honesty and kindness.

Hey I thought you tried finding the good in everyone. Why is it then that you just called some irredeemable?
Are you starting to get comfortable with getting asked questions?
I only ask the last question because you seem to be relaxing your guard a little, you even smiled a little bit ago and just now offered to hug Merisiel...though that's different than hugging one of us...which would be weird.

The undead are irredeemable...as are those who choose to pervert death into undeath. And those followers of Rovagug as well.
Rarely will there be a repentant one among them. I would have hope, however small, but sadly I have not encountered one yet.

Kyra you find yourself confronted by a cleric of Asmodeus, a cleric of Zon-Kuthon and a cleric of Urgathoa, what do you do?
Wait for them to tear each other apart, naturally. Your proposed situation is absurd...these three, work together? I think Sunny has the right of it. It does sound like a very bad joke. Perhaps Lem has a better answer for you.

I recently had the pleasure of viewing a painting which depicted you and the creation of a plane presumably with the invocation of a goddess given miracle. It was a rather nicely done plane btw looked like the right kind of place to get away from it all. Nice touch with importing the white birds by the way.
1. Did you create the plane in one casting? Did you give it a name?
2. Was the place modeled after a place you remember?
3. Did you make it permanent? and did it suffice for the reason you needed it at the time?

To the Lady Kyra Sief al Kiraan,
I am curious as to your thoughts on a couple subjects if you will indulge me.
First about Valeros. I am familiar with his early history so I ask you this: While his physical bravery is not to be question, do you think Valeros is a moral coward?
Second. This is not meant to provoke you or demean your goddess, I am simply asking for the perspective of one of her Faithful. So with that in mind: What are your thoughts that despite Sarenrae being a goddess of redemption Shelyn seems to have better success at redeeming people?
Third. A man by the name of Anaetis recently succeeded in passing the test of the Star Stone and has thus ascended to godhood. He is the God of Joy, Mercy, and Compassion. Do you think there will be any issues or conflicts between him and either Sarenrae, Calistria, or Cayden Cailean?
And fourth and please forgive me on this one for it is a hypothetical question. The whole of existence is vast and there are worlds with there own gods and gods from other places may not go. Say you were to somehow find yourself there and thus cut of from Sarenrae's Light. I assume you would persist in your faith of the Dawn flower but would you be willing to let another benevolent god grant you their light in her stead until such a time as you found your way back within Her sight?
Thank you for your time. May blessings be upon you in your struggles and in your work for Sarenrae.
With Warm Regards,
The NPC

Could you possibly outline the correct method for bringing an evildoer to justice? Is the loss of a hand or branding fitting punishment for brigands and monsters? As a priest of mercy and healing, is this too far? Would you heal these evildoers if they repented and lived according to the Dawnflower's teachings for a set period?
I'm looking to play a particularly ruthless zealot of Sarenrae, harsh and cruel as the desert, but ultimately fair. How do I stay in the goddesses favour? How far is too far in bringing evil men to the light?
Now for some more inconsequential questions...
How do those shawls of yours hold up in the varisian cold?
What's the worst line Valeros has ever used?
What do you think of Sajan?
Do you use your scimitar two-handed?
Do you have a favourite food from your homeland?
From Avistan?
What do you like to drink?
What is your most treasured posession?

To the Lady Kyra Sief al Kiraan
Merisiel stabbed me over an incorrect word choice in a missive I sent her. It was an honest mistake. Luckily she did not stab anything I was using at the time or plan to use in the foreseeable future and I am mending. Could you please advise her not to stab people over simple mistakes? It would be much appreciated. Thank for your time Lady.
With Further Regards,

Kyra,
I'm a druid. As I'm sure you know, this means you and I have some things in common - we're both potent divine spellcasters, we both have similar proficiency in combat, and so forth. What's your opinion on druids? How many do you know? How similar do you feel your path in life is to that of a druid? (Does your answer to that question change if the druid in question is like me and doesn't like animals?) Did you ever consider becoming a druid yourself?

What is this world coming to? I just saw a warrior claiming to be a Paladin of Lamashtu earlier, and then a Gnome preaching about the Rough Beast.
Either way, what should I do with a friend of mine? His heart is in the right place, but he always seems reluctant about actually going on adventures and bringing the light of the Dawnflower to those in need of it. He's an elven ranger, so I am a bit confused about his insistence on staying in the local taverns...

I seem to be surrounded by spiders, maybe what people call spider swarms, I'm not a mage nor do I have any of these "splash" weapons, what should I do?
Get some sturdy, steel-soled boots. Never wear short trousers unless you're also wearing high stockings or hose. Or get some of Gundimar the Garolous's spider-repelling ointment (which stinks like a dwarf after a four-day battle that occured right on the heels of a three-day binge, ahem, I mean feast).
