Thanks for the info Dark mistress.

Djinni/Efreeti/Marid/Shaitan bloodlines?! really I thought the elemtal bloodline was for them already. They have a dark tapestry mystery but not for a bloodline?! The Accursed and Maestro ones sound interesting and the Rakshasa one is a given but I widh they had Celestial bloodline archtypes for Agathion, Azata, and Archons. But most of the Oracle Mysteries sound awesome, I would still like to an Mystery for Love, Art, Holy, Light, Shadow, Monsters, and Luck.

Starsoul Bloodline seems to be a dark tapestry bloodline already.

Awwwwwwww, just when I was going to ask what the hedge witch loses :(

Guess I'll wait a few hours then. Good night.

Crossblooded: Mix 2 Bloodlines, but fewer spells known.

Wildblooded: Alternative version of the bloodlines. Some bloodline stuff changed, most notably there are now ways for a sorcerer to cast with int or wis.

Hexes on different levels.

ps: Hope it´s ok to post stuff like this. If not, please tell me so I can delete it.

I have to say, DM's teasers are really good. She's got it down to an art form. I kind of know what some stuff does, but not really...and that's how it should be!

Well with the crossbreed achtype do you get double the bonus bloodline spells or do you get to pick?

Wild blooded how does it work? What do you loose? what can you choose to get?

Except when you have until before the release date to build a character that would benefit from the archetypes in the book! Famous actor who secretly works against the Chelish government and diabolists. Demagogue! Celebrity! Who knows!

...Though bonuses to Cha-based skills as a main class ability hurts my feelings. Deeply.

Curse me for not figuring out what a subscription is until after I pre-ordered Ultimate Magic. I want my free PDF :(

Fairly certain if you contact customer service they would be able to arrange it as part of your subscription. (Also I could be wrong but if you choose to subscribe I think it gives you the option of just merging the order with the subscription but I'm not sure so best just contact CS.)

That's unfortunate, true, but it's not as though she could just copy-paste from the book. We all learned not to do that during the APG rollout.

If bonuses to Cha-based skills makes you as good at avoiding combat as Inspire Courage does at helping you win combat, is it really an inferior option? I don't really have an opinion there (yet), I'm just asking the open-ended question.

I think it depends on how much better of a diplomat it actually makes you. That's the answer for me, anyway.

Thanks for answering. =)

Hm. Crossblooded sounds like a losing proposition for most, though I suppose some might be willing to consider for a very particular character build.

Wildblooded remains sufficiently vague for me to hope that it'll prove worthwhile; though I imagine switching one's casting stat won't appeal to most existing sorcerer characters. If it does allow one to freely make Intelligence-based sorcerers, then I imagine that'll quickly become the norm for all new sorcerer characters, it being a generally more useful ability score than Charisma.

So how's about feats? Are there any that are particularly good for sorcerers.

This is true, to an extent, as it is impossible to Diplomacy IN combat should it come to you, or say if you have to engage in combat (which is completely unavoidable in Council of Thieves). If there are options to perhaps lower the threat mechanics wise by hitting a Diplomacy check or so, yes, it would be, for certain. As it stands, from how I understand the skill, that's not the case. So while it can avoid combat (and I've done so a bunch of times with previous Diplomacy characters), sometimes blades get drawn and it's go time and it becomes slightly awkward especially at lower levels when you don't have the spell slots.

I imagine that the Sorceror only spell gives the target creature some aspect of your bloodline, much like the Oracle only spells do. Maybe giving your Draconic Claws to the fighter is a better idea than using them yourself.

I have a few more questions that occured to me to ask this morning. Thanks again to those folks who are taking time to answer our questions. We really appreciated it.

1) Are there any new oracle curses? What are they called and what do they basically do?

2) What about the inquisitor archetypes? We haven't heard anything about those yet. Are the Exorcist and Sin-Eater any good?

3) Are there any new class features for the inquisitor like new judgements?

4) Are there any new evolutions for the summoner's eidolon? What are they called?

I'd also like to hear some stuff about Alchemists. Do Psychonauts get totally tripped out?

Arrgh! Hmm... well... maybe I can make something work out with one of those archetypes as both celebrity and demagogue fit with my character concept PERFECTLY. Sitting at a +11 to Diplomacy at level 1, I don`t know how useful going `Hey, I`m awesome, another +1` will be. Gah.

If these archetypes end up subbing out Inspire Courage for mere bonuses to some Cha-based skills... especially if they're competence or morale bonuses... that would be so lame.

This spell imbues a single creature with great bravery and morale in battle. The target gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks.

Could you please tell me what new Witch patrons there are?

Ancestors

Death
Enchantment
Healing
Insanity
Light
Moon
Occult
Portents
Spirits
Stars
Time
Vengeance
Winter

Hmm, that sounds like one nice list for witch patrons, especially Death, Insanity, Moon, Vengeance, and Winter. Nice to see the witches getting some official Pathfinder love!

If you don't mind my asking, what does the synthesist archetype for the summoner class receive?
Basically it summons a eidolon that fuses with them. They use their own mental stats but their eidolon's physical stats and most of the rest of their abilities deal with that.

And suddenly I find a renewed interest in writing up and/or playing a Gnome summoner.

This book will be so great!

Awwwwwwww, just when I was going to ask what the hedge witch loses :(

Guess I'll wait a few hours then. Good night.

They must take the healing patron and they lose two of their hex picks. She gains the abilities to swap out spells for healing spells on the fly and the ability to take poison and disease from people. Giving them another save, even if they fail they are cured. The witch though gains the same condition but technically isn't poisoned or sick. I am honestly not 100% clear if that means it locks it at that point until it is cured or what.

Thanks! Sounds VERY good. And actually worth losing 2 hexes (extra hex feat ftw! ^^)

Care to share some insight on more witch-y stuff (new hexes, the other archetypes, witch feats etc.)? :)

1) I actually listed them on the first page of this thread. List their names.

2) Exorcist, Heretic, Infiltrator, Preacher and Sin Eater. As for how good they are. Not sure. I haven't actual read the book yet. Just skimmed it and mostly looking things up for people. :)

3) No new judgement but they do get something new called inquisitions, which take the place of their domain.

4) There is 16 new ones.

Just for the record. While I don't mind answering questions, I can't list everything. I doubt Paizo would approve of that. So i am trying to answer as much as I can with out saying to much. That and it makes for a better tease. :)

Stern gaze, discern lies, track, and monster lore is what they lose.

Don't think so, there might be a feat or something though, but none of the archetypes do.

I didn't see any oracle curses on the first page. What I did see were oracle mysteries. Does that mean there are no new oracle curses?

Ah, no no new curses. Just mysteries.

As for the inquisitions, each one has two powers they can do. There is 17 of them and they are broken up by god.

Inquisitions sound cool.

As for the oracle curses, I guess that product description is no longer accurate then. The product page says, "...alternative oracle curses and revelations..." It must have happened during development and got cut for space or something.

Dark_Mistress wrote:

Just to be sure: Taking either a Domain or the inquisition remains a choice? I mean, it's not a mandatory change for the whole class, is it?

What does Wildblooded actually do, and is there any meaningful cost to making your casting stat int?

It is a chaotic based offshot of some of the existing bloodlines like demon etc. It replaces some of the powers with new ones, depending on which bloodline it is paired with.

There is 20 bloodlines it can be paired with. Which would be a big list.

The main question I was hoping for an answer to was:

Is there any disadvantage to picking one of the wildblooded options that gives you int as your casting stat?

Don't see anything that lets a Sorc use int instead of chr as their casting stat.
