Does anybody my age remember a science guy who used to have a show on TV where he did experiments and explained them to kids? I'm pretty sure he was on PBS. When I was little, I think I thought he had a German accent, but probably I just couldn't recognize a NY at the time. He had crazy hair.
Bill Nye?

The wife has finally had enough of the problems that keep cropping up in our military housing. Between the dishwasher backing up periodically, the hot water heater going out, mold in the air ducts, and swamp by the front door, we're looking to move offpost.
While dealing with gate traffic will be 'fun', at least I won't have to put up with the numerous post rules. And will have a driveway again!
Dude you'll be cleaning up on BAH off base anyways, won't have to worry about people glaring at your yard because the grass in 1/8th of an inch too high, etc...

Good to have you back.
Thanks be to God: I was vaccinated.

Captain von Kangaroo?
Nope, nope. This would have been early 70s, and he only did science. No puppets, no anything else.

Hi, all. What did I miss?
I've discovered public transportation isn't all it's cracked up to be. Today, I sat down on the Metro, and the upholstery on my seat was wet. I'm going to pretend it had just been shampooed. (The real question is why do these California cities upholster their trains? They should be hard plastic like they use in New York. Then I wouldn't have to worry that they are seat-shaped sponges of human waste.)

Yeah, I just like to assume that the suspicious fluid on the train seat is because someone just spilled their milk ...

So how was everyone’s Halloween (for those in areas that really get into it)? Any stand out costumes? Kids get lots of candy?
Lots of fun. The kidlet is currently sorting through his haul and eating himself into a sugar coma. :)
Saw a really cute Vader. Kid was all of about four years old, but he was very fierce. Really into the role. :D
