Link-free description:
It's ads asking people to report "members of Antifa" as a terrorist organization. It marks them with a pointing-down red triangle - the same design used to mark political prisoners in Nazi concentration camps.

They were apparently run in a batch of 88 - another Nazi catchphrase, standing for HH (Hail Hitler) - on Facebook.

He probably decided to outbid* our not-mine incumbent president who (together with his political handlers compatriots) recently said things that were less than respectful of LGBT+ folk (with his compatriots outright saying that LGBT+ folk shouldn't have the same rights as "normal people").

Interestingly it created a bit of public outlash, hopeful more people will actually notice that LGBT+ community is not treated equally in Poland instead of going for "they are not persecuted, they just shouldn't make themselves visible" route.

*ok, honestly it's rather unlikely that he actually would be paying attention, Poland is too small fish... unless he secretly keeps and eye on other authoritarian-regime-wannabes so he won't stay behind.

What, just because I'm working from home you think I have time to play on my PC?

(I mean, I do, but if I spend all of my time keeping up with you crazy 200 posts-a-day posters, I'd never get to play any video games!) ;P

Customer: We don't want to do that because of security concerns. What else do you have?

Er... I dunno? Make sure your customers all have different names?

But, it's always after midnight. And I think she would be quite sad if we never fed her.

Besides, what's the worst that could happen? We get more Worans? That might make some people (like Freehold) very happy.

It's the fourth day I've worked above 85 degrees. Yes, I am spending the afternoon trying to hide as much in our trailer as I can.

Considering I spent five hours yesterday fixing other people's mistakes in full sun I'd say I've earned it.

Nothing is motivating me to get and learn to use a gun than the possibility of having to defend democracy and the rule of law.

I'm considering a mask, hat, and my Hammerspace inventory filled of disposable guitars bassoons*.

Yes, guitars would be more appropriate, but bassoons are inherently funnier.

Yeah, we have the luxury of being able to leave, but the discussion is Scotland (love it, but still under British rule, and why flee political persecution to another place with serious issues?) or a Nordic country. I can work anywhere in the world, but GothBard's restricted to countries with major gaming industry companies, so probably Sweden.

And we've never even been to Sweden!

(And yes, Woran, after our visit I added the Netherlands to my list of places I'd be willing to emigrate, but GothBard still isn't sold.)

That assumes that any country is interested in taking in US emigres. I am pretty sure the rest of the world regards the US as a giant COVID Petri dish at the moment.

If NH and GothBard sell the house for a decent sum of money and wave all those bills while entering, not many countries will protest much.

Unfortunately,

(1) By the time we're ready, COVID-19 shouldn't be a serious impediment
(2) Drejk is depressingly correct. I'm at an income level and an asset level that pretty much any country in the world would look the other way to get me to move in. And yes, if I'm fleeing the U.S., I will indeed ruthlessly take advantage of this depressing aspect of life.

Having appalled the thread into silence, I'll just say I'm not lying.

Scotland's "Rich Man's Visa" Program: "If you are going to make an investment of £2,000,000 or more into Scotland, you can apply for a Tier 1 (Investor) visa."

On the one hand, that's way too rich for my blood. But if buying a house counts as "an investment" I'm already 1/3 of the way there...

No, every time I work here (this is my third time back) I have one of the high schoolers with me. She assumes they are in charge.
