Aaaaaaaaaaugh.
So, the debacle in my Crimson Throne game about the large-size eidolon being unable to squeeze in hallways? He shouldn't even have that evolution because it's 13th level.
I don't know if I'm more irritated as his GM or as his English teacher.
Large evolution requires 8th summoner level (the last sentence at the end of the first paragraph). Level 13th requirement refers specifically to an option of spending 6 additional evolution points increasing the eidolon's size to Huge instead (the second paragraph of Large evolution).

I didn't connected the dots between Scint's CoCT party being below 8th level and the mention of Large eidiolon - when summoners where recent class, a lot complaints on them being totally overpowered relied on such simple errors as players accidentally (or not so accidentally) missing that the Large evolution has high level requirement, or miscalculating number of evolution points.

So noted! He's still 3rd level, so disallowed. :D

Honestly, part of the fun of this for me is learning how to build new classes. Of the classes the group has chosen, magus is the only one I've played, and my build is completely different than my kiddo's. She's going for a traditional strength-and-armor; mine's a dex abomination gestalt with swash. So I'm having to look at classes I wouldn't normally consider, and it's been really interesting spitballing concepts.

Now for some reason I want to make a platfomer video game where I somehow kidnap Nobodyswife and Lisamarlene and thereby force Nobodyhome(whingey wizard can be the second player) to go through confusing mazes filled with strange creatures that can be easily defeated with everyday objects thrown at them to get them back.
For some reason, full, hearty meals will be able to be found at the bottom of garbage cans, completely sanitary, warm, and delcious for them to eat.
No matter where they go, they will hear cool synthesized pop music that makes their travel less onerous.
They will also meet FAWTLs on the trip who will give them more items to thriow at these strange creatures, who will not elaborate why they seek to stop them. For some reason, despite helping them get their wives back from a madman, they will charge them a premium for every item they wish to throw. Fortunately, they will get lts of money from defeating these strange creatures, who will leave tightly rolled crisp clean bills upon their carcasses as they die from massive head wounds inflicted by nobodyshome(and wingey wizard) throwing things at them.

For some reason, I feel compelled to endorse this plan.

I'm seeing Yoshi's Island meets the arcade Ninja Turtles games.

Mulling over various gestalt concepts thanks to kiddos.
Bard|Summoner could be interesting, either making the eidolon a tank or a tiny scout with buffs out the wazoo.
Alchemist|Warder or Inspiring Commander Cavalier - mad science with an actual base attack bonus to make that mutagen scary.
Ranger|Witch. Creepy caster whose woods you definitely don't want to be in.

One child home, with momentary crisis averted (Crookshanks thought she lost her phone on the bike home from school but it was in her sleeve the whole time (classic captain yesterday!).
I was not looking forward to retracing her steps to school, those three blocks.
But only because phones aren't cheap.

My morning has been similarly inundated with "pointless errands brought on by forgetful kids", but at least it was all (relatively) affordable:
In terms of replacing phones, I don't know what plan you're on, but I'm on the Verizon family plan, which is stupid ($190/month for 6 devices), but with so many devices we are *always* in the middle of a "renew for 2 years and get a free device on this line" offer, so I've never paid more than $99 for an iPhone. I can usually finagle a free earlier model out of them, but SOME people insist on actually having MODERN devices (the nerve), so I know I had to shell out for one once.
My phones, of course, are always free. So I don't particularly care if I lose 'em. So of course I never do, much to NobodysWife's chagrin.
