Watched 7 episodes of Food Wars. Why does Satoshi Isshiki totally make me think of TacticsLion?

I'm coming down with a cold, and after Shiro told me to get better, Impus Major immediately had his next get rich quick scheme:

"I'm going to make 'Get Worse' cards!"

"Call and receive? Don't you mean call and response?"
"Yeah. Call and receive is like Domino's Pizza."

My sympathies. I'm guessing rebuilding them to something else is not something you have time for?

Yeah, the reason I run APs is so I don't have to build a bunch of encounters. For me, plots and schemes are easy, and NPCs kind of show up. Building interesting monsters is hard.

I'm hoping either the upstairs or downstairs are more interesting, or I'll just have to either let it be a cakewalk or try to add a little something to 'em.

But as I said; Jade Regent Books 4, 5, and the first third of 6 were top-rate. It's the rest of the AP that's a bother...

No, I meant Curse of the Crimson Throne, book 2.

Why didn't the skeleton enjoy the Halloween party? Because it had no body to dance with.

That's interesting as I am the exact opposite. I use APs almost exclusively for the story and NPCs, and with the full knowledge that I'm probably going to have to completely remake almost every encounter after the first chapter.

When is your next session? I could whip up replacement minions for you, if I have enough time. And a list of content you do/don't want me to use.

New side quest: Going to find a dentist that is open on Saturday, has short or no queue, and it won't cost more than I have.

Once the tooth is closed, permanently or temporarily, I can think of something to eat.

That's extremely generous of you, but I've misjudged encounters before, and it may just be the first floor of the building. Once I finish up my prep work this weekend (turns out it is indeed a full-blown bout of nastiness, so I think I'm going to have a lot of free time on my hands), if I have specific encounters that I feel are just "meh" I'll PM you. Or heck, make it a party and post it here. I know certain other FaWtLers love tinkering with monsters...

I don't do spell books or Occultists (shakes fist at Herolabs impotently) but if you want spontaneous caster npcs I can do that.

sounds good. Any content you specifically want avoided? Np psionics, no path of war/book of nine swords, etc?

We play "PRD only", which basically means that if it's on the PRD, it's fair game. But considering I've never run nor played psionics, I think that's a good call. :-P

Alright, so only first party stuff. Tricky, but doable. I'll wait for the further details then. =)

I had over a hundred characters die in 1st and 2nd edition.

My advice would be to make sure you have 5 back up characters for every session.

But I don't touch advice threads anymore.

WELL THAT HAPPENED.

Season 2 looks like it's going to be great, from what I've seen of the first episode.

So, needless to say, Impus Major desperately wants to build necrocraft with his necromancer (who wouldn't?), and wants to up the Craft Points available to the critter.

I really like Gauss' suggestions here, but for those of you with more experience in such things, does that seem like a reasonable set of guidelines for letting Impus Major build to his heart's content?

I mean, let's be blunt; it'll probably spend 95% of its existence hiding under a tarp in a warehouse in Harrowstone anyway...

It looks good to me. I like the idea of using the rules from Animate Objects, it keeps things simple and avoids having to make up a new system.

Aaaand, FOUR-DAY WEEKEND! Woo hoo!

So, Shiro and Hi are coming over tonight for dinner and anime. Since we just got CrunchyRoll premium, what should we watch?

EDIT: I may try to force Hi to bite the bullet and watch Kill La Kill with us. He's really uncomfortable with T&A shows, which Kill la Kill is in spades, but its entire "Clothing is the Enemy" theme is side-splitting, and after a slow start the kids watched the whole series while I was working, and it seemed like a darned good series. Once you can get past the whole, "The fewer clothes I wear, the more powerful I become" angle of it...

I was wondering today, if we all clubbed together, would we be able to buy the poor girl a set of cold-weather underpants and a proper sword?
