Naked ignorance for TotP.

RPG Superstar 2012

Hey, Mr. Shiny! Long time no see!

We've been like two ships passing in the night. In different oceans. Or something.

Thanks, guys!

The only voice I had to worry about in the paper was to make certain that I was discussing certain themes in the film between the characters in the present tense versus in the past tense.

Other than word repetition and redundancy, I'm a flagrant abuser of the semi-colon.

P.S. Taig: Ha!

I am having that day. *sigh*

Kidlet is eating lunch now. And then I have to make him write apology letters cause he threw a major tantrum at school and got sent home. Less than two weeks. We just have to get through the next week and a half and then he'll be done for this year. Can't happen soon enough.

I've had some BAD doctor experiences. My most recent being the doctor who told me I was stupid for doing research on my own and that I was arrogant not to absolutely trust his judgment. He went on to say that I was severely depressed, and that there was something "deeply, deeply wrong" with me. He was not a psychiatrist, psychologist, or social worker--he was an MD general practitioner.

Fire that d####ead on the spot!

We go through this with Diane too. Some arrogant doctor will blow off her concerns about something, and 90% of the time she's right. I have zero tolerance for docs with a God complex, and I'm not the least bit bashful about letting them know.

He's just an employee. Fire his sorry ass for incompetence.

I have been without AC since Thursday, June 2. Which BTW was the earliest 100+ day since 1902. Yeah Houston humidity. Went to Home Depot today and bought a 12,000 BTU window unit, and when I leave this complex that sucker is going with me. Hopefully, it will cool this efficiency apartment enough to counteract the high Houston heat.

I don't think you have anything to apologize for. I have friends who have had somewhat similar issues. I have become pretty cynical about our medical system.

I like the add.

As an aside the monkey would also like to fling poo at:

Spoiler:
Health insurance bureaucrats, Mitt Romney, Pharma reps who bribe doctors with shiny prizes to pimp their products, pharma companies that advertise their products on TV, doctors who take pharma bribes without blinking as their due, politicians who think adding yet another layer of turgid bureaucracy on top of the current layers of turgid bureaucracy will do anything to improve medical assistance to ANYONE, trial lawyers who have shot tort law onto the stratosphere, thus increasing the costs of doing medical work in any form, especially charity medical work.

Once again, the poo has been flung, and chatting to me about it will only get some feces flung your way. This is a personal opinion rant. Thank you.

Seriously. I was prescribed amphetamines for ADHD, and took them for a couple of months. Mentally, I felt great. For a couple of weeks.

Then I started losing large chunks of time. I felt like Doctor Who. I was a time traveler. It was the best head space I've been in during my life, but I got SO sick--I didn't eat for days on end, and dropped somewhere between twenty and thirty pounds in a little over a month. Eventually, I couldn't handle the health issues anymore, and stopped taking it. It still bums me out.

But hey, I'm not as fat as I was. That's good, right?

Maybe Paizocon 2012. I will run a VtM game where strung-out Nosferatu hunt hack doctors through the sewers of Boston. =D

Agh. I'm most likely not going to have the time or money for Paizocon 2012. I'll still try to make it, though.

There desperately needs to be a nationwide FAWTLcon somewhere. If I ever get rich, I'll fly you all out to my underground lair.

My daughter was hospitalized last month (bank account -2.5k) and the a+#%*&&s just kept trying to sneak drugs into her, and were shocked that I would question them.

Among other things they gave her medicine for diarrhea (which she didn't have and did it without without my authorization), which constipated her and caused abdominal cramps, extended the hospital stay, and necessitated an X-Ray and a 500 dollar specialist who used the 5 bills to tell me her crap was stuck. He used small words, as if I was an idiot. Bad things happened. They prescribed laxatives and an enema. We escaped.

As a sidenote: every time I go to this paticular hospital or anyone I know goes there, they prescribe Nexium, a proton pump inhibitor (for stomach acid). It doesn't matter what problem I have. They tried to give it to my daughter, too. We don't know why. Now when I got my bill they had fraudulently billed me for a dosage of Nexium.... When I asked them (in my daughter's room) if they had lots of parties and dinners at AstrZeneca's (they make Nexium) expense the room went silent. It's like I dropped a frickin' bomb.

Incidentally. PPIs are NOT harmless. Your stomach acid plays an important immune role: sterilizing your food.

I do ad designs periodically. Sometimes I need to get (the client's) bad ideas out of the way so I send them parodies of their s**#... Only when I know they'll still pay me of course... and only those that have a sense of humor. Unfortunately I can't post them here because they'd s++! themselves ten ways to Friday if any of it went public.

103 however the only time I had to be in the heat was the few seconds it took to get into the Limo.

Boss paid to have us go by limo to the hibachi grill/sushi place for lunch. Have it set up as a meeting. My lunch is in 1/2 and hour from now. I am stuffed. The lunch was for good customer service. I love watching the smoking volcano onions, makes me feel like a little kid.

Bad news is I will be taking part of the day off on Friday because my sons great grand mother on their mothers - mothers side has passed away. Because she is not directly related I get no bereavement. Do not care so much about that, really only going because I feel the kids should be there. Just sucks to waste time off for a bad thing. I would rather plan a day to go fishing with the kids and then take that off.

There is an Idea, I think I will do that next month.

Ha. I already have tickets.

The Triple A team we have here and then the AAA World Series is hosted here and those games are free and I think are next month.

Sometimes, you need to watch something like "Rosenkrantz & Guildenstern are Dead" to remind yourself what good writing is. And for that matter, the acting's pretty darn good.

Today it is a nice 77 degrees F, which is way better then yesterdays 103.

Sovereign Court

It's a breezy and cool 95 here in Houston. We may even get rain.

Damnit Justin, you get all the good stuff in the midwest. It's 61 here, and was 50 this morning. That line of storms yesterday? It was our cold front slamming into your warm one.

Reminds me...

mildly religious:

This was a few years ago. I believe it was some time around Easter. Our pastor was making the point that Jesus was "raised from the dead". At one point he announces at the top of his lungs -- "We worship an undead God!"

It was all my wife and I could do not to start laughing out loud and making a big scene.

I'm sure your advice is good, but 1. I was already watching it and 2. My curiosity is too great. If it helps, I'm not undistractedly watching it, like I was R&GAD.
