Nekkid fighting? Pass...

I threw a roast in the crock pot this morning, kids are digging the fact that they didn't have to wait for us to cook, and not having to rocks.

Smells good, and all three kids are virtually silent, all you can hear is them eating. :)

It's always hard, and it is even harder when you don't do it often. Coming up on nine years m'self and I can count on two hands the fights we've had. But they've been whoppers.

Stay calm, breathe and count, and try not to 'one up' each other in the discussion. Just words from an old grizzled monkey..

*blink*

Solnes, both you and Moorluck are awesome people. I know that fights suck, but I am glad that you two are my friends. I value and respect the both of you. If not for people like you two, I might not have given Karen a chance. Thanks for being there, both of you.

If naked fighting doesn't fix things, you're not doing it right!

Liberty's Edge

+1 to the others. And remember, the fighting is better than one of you "going dark". Fights mean you're still trying to communicate. The silly fights probably don't happen any more because you've gotten used to each other.

Anyway, that's my $0.02

Liberty's Edge

Oh, and here's how I stay sane in regards to the "other" topics

And Arden just threw up....perfect.

False alarm. Just trying to get outta cleaning her room.

The big suck about this is that we share friends. So when we need to vent, or want to talk it is awkward.

He still isn't home.

Diane and I run into this as well. We shoot pool and game together so when I drink and shoot pool and vent it can get awkward.

I am just gonna bail for the night. Seeing as how he just called to tell teh kids good night and hung up on me I figure he won't be home until its time for me to head to work. I'll just shower and get ready.

You guys have a good night.

Take care.

Try changing your password. It seemed to work for me when something similar happened to me several months ago.
Really? That really works? I'll give it a shot.
Are you using Malware Bytes? It's a great free program, and seems to go deeper than a lot of antivirus stuff.

+1

I actually registered it, too.

I use Norton, Ad aware, Spybot S&D etc. Does Malware Bytes use a lot of resources?

I dumped Norton before my subscription was up. Microsoft Essentials work just fine and I don't pay a dime. And MalwareBytes does not use a lot of resources. I also recommend Spyware Blaster and it is low on the resource use too.

Norton! Booooo, hisssssss!

I'm not impressed with Norton, but I despised McAfee. We get Norton for free from our ISP, so at least we don't pay anything for it.

Why do you dislike Norton?

Diane like essentials, but she seems to have more mal ware issues than me. I don't know if that's because of WoW and Facebook or something else. I don't use Wow or Facebook.

Have the FAWTLies been cursed or something? It seems that recently lots of not so good to bad things have been happening to us. Did one of you offend a witch or hags or something?

Liberty's Edge

I had brisket for dinner. Isn't that awesome. I love brisket.

She probably likes to see who's spying on her profile, see what daddy saw his daughter doing, winning a free iPad, view Osama execution videos, etc. :P

I admit to traversing less than reputable places, but I make sure I quadruple wrap if I can help it. ;-)

Someone dared taunt happy fun ball.

Who dared to do such a thing?

Why am I so sleepy? It's barely 10.30

Hoping for better tomorrows for everyone. Night.

It could be the universe's way of saying, spend more time on happy things and less on unhappy things.

In Soviet Russia, unhappy things spend time on you.

Artist Jeffrey Catherine Jones died today. She made this Scheherazade.

Scarab Sages

Bummer. That's a nice piece of art.

Scarab Sages

Whalp! Night all, I'm off to get my beauty sleep.

Sympathies, Lord and Lady. Hope you kiss and make up soon.

Another ray of sunshine. I sure hope we can make these last or be more frequent.

Daughter had her Spring Band Concert and was a showcase in the Jazz section. She dolled herself up, and blew the crowd away with her drumming. By staying for the afterglow, which she ususally misses to run to dance class, she got accolades from the families.

At this point she is planning on staying with band in her senior year. I just hope this isn't a temporary up.

It's these kinds of successes that she can recall when the inevitable down comes again. I'm happy for you and best wishes that the positive vibe continues to flow.

Very cool stuff.

It can be so tough for young folks, especially of certain temperaments, to learn to live with ups and downs. Loving guidance and support from you guys can help her understand that life comes with highs and lows, that neither are permanent, and that we cannot over-identify with these moments and base our self-worth on them.

just ignore this post - I need to get it out my system

If you must know:
It's Tordek's 800th post, small potatoes compared to the huge numbers posted by other FaWTLys but for some reason these round numbers just paralyze me for awhile. I need to prep for my Runelords game and I can't with this number rattling around my head. I feel much better now. Thank you for ignoring it.

I think creepy jones is my favorite that you've posted so far.

Proper English question time:

When referring to the collective whole of posters in this thread, is the correct word

FaWTLies

or

FaWTLys

?

and should the "a" be lower or upper case?

I say, FAWTLies or Fawtlies -- being consistent with words of the acronym. Over time, it's possible the acronym gets nominalized, but then it will be a proper noun and the first letter would be capitalized.

I got my new phone. It's teh awesome. I am so excited. :)

Is Jeremy not posting in here anymore? What hell?

S&M, hope things are going better and all of this blows over quickly.

Thanks for clearing that up - that is the spelling that I prefer and I think it is the one that I have predominantly used in the past.

Time for me to call it a night. Have a great night or day depending on where you are in the world FAWTLies!

And with that I should go get ready for bed. Good night folks.

Thanks and I will. It's my first smart phone so I'm giddy about all the cool stuff it can do. :)
