New band name idea, in case Mai Waifu doesn't work out: Lisa Frank Undead Nightmare.

How about Horatius and the Masticating Diphthongs?

Or just The Masticating Diphthongs?
How about Marzipan Ziggurat?

A Pyramid Full of Nougat?

And clearly you must play nekkid.

I may have overdone it on the toxin.

Morning. Another week. In three weeks I will be packing and going back to home a day after.

This week I have to call Revenue Office and ask about my tax return for the last (fiscal) year. Three hundred and sixty pounds don't walk on its feet as we say in Poland.

Condolences to Sharoth & your family.

Sorry, better luck next time to Icyshadow & LordSynos, hope things improve.

Good afternoon every-FaWtL. :) Hope everyone had a good weekend, is having a good day, and is keeping well. Bit of a head cold today, caught in one too many showers over the weekend, I reckon, but nothing to slow down over. Bright and warming me back up at the moment. The auld sky fire has its uses. Some times. :P

Had a fun weekend visiting a few friends in the capital, playing games, eating far too much candy, and catching Guardians of the Galaxy. Damn good movie.

So, the possibility where I got to see my son a lot more (becoming primary carer for 2 months) has fallen through, his mother seems to have had a sudden and unexpected change in circumstances, yet again, and no longer needs / wants me to do / be such. Oh well. I have a lawyer now, so all that uncertainty will end come October, when the courts are taking cases again. In the mean time, he should be visiting for a week on Saturday week, which I'm looking forward to. I miss my little dude.

Why the hell does it take 20 minutes to cancel my TV service, most of which was spent sitting there listening to the guy type over the phone?

Dark Archive

Because a barrier to exit, such as a 20 minute phone call, will be enough to dissuade a certain amount of people from cancelling said service? Or, at least, they believe that to be the case.

I still cannot believe it

Skull & Shackles spoilers ahead:
My group of PCs actually solved a huge encounter through diplomacy rather than setting it on fire. They gained control of Tidewater Rock via a very cordial dinner with Lady Smythee where through bravado, manners and bargaining they were able to convince her to enter into a "Shackles Marriage" with Lamontia's Sea Singer Bard. I am stunned beyond belief. So now Lamontia's character is Lord of Tidewater Rock and Lady Smythee gets a small cut of their spoils and plunder.

Best of luck to you. Sadly these things never seem to resolve painlessly or easily.

But...fire is the best kind of diplomacy!

By which I (hopefully) obviously don't mean to imply that TFY has anything to do with them.

Otakon.

Anyone here is an Advanced Bestiary kickstarter backer and got the pdf already?

OK, I just got confirmation that Moss Lich ended being in Advanced Bestiary... Now I would like to know what picture it got.

It's a cool illustration of a dwarf with bark-like skin, glowing eyes, and branch/bramble beard.

Congrats on getting an entry into the Advanced Bestiary, Drejk!

"How is he [Filge] dead? He doesn't have a scratch on him! ... that we didn't put there!"

Now, the waiting...

Sorry, I thought you were asking for a description of the illustration.

I don't know about most people, but I'd rather sit through 20 minutes a dude typing than keep paying $80 a month for something I don't use as much as I used to. Especially when I need that money to pay for the car I just bought.

Often enough, "discourse" on these boards reminds me of this.

I have a job interview in four hours. So, tell me why I can't sleep.

Toe's in pain (not broken, but in bad shape), I have a mild headache, and I haven't gotten much progress in the layout for my book in the last few days.

Saying that I feel frustrated and upset would be an understatement. On the bright side, went to see Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday, and had a fun GURPS session on sunday.

Because, if you sleep, the clown will eat you.

Yes... The clown... Look out for the clown...

You know illustrators... Sometimes they draw something different than description says, so it's good to hear that it got the picture matching the sample moss lich. ;)

Finished FFV last night just before game session started, and for giggles redid the final boss a second time after it ended. Grinding all the jobs to Mastered makes you a teensy bit overleveled (the guide recommends mid-40s before taking on the last area, I was in mid-60s, heh).

Yet another refreshing bit of old-school nostalgia completed. On to VI!

I hope you feel better soon!

I'm also glad you had some good stuff in the mix.

Three weeks before I am back home. Well, three weeks and some 14-15 hours before I will be physically at home.

The Robin Williams news really only hit me full-on this morning. =( I learned about it last night and didn't really react beyond "oh wow". Now it's actually sunk in a bit.

Hope things turn for the better soonish. Also glad to hear of someone else enjoying Guardians. Best movie I've seen all summer, maybe even all year.

I prefer "roast alive in own juices". Also I'm not hungry.

I should make myself some food. in normal circumstances (i.e. at home) I would not bother with that until much later, but with evening shift at work closing I have to do this before going to work :/

PM and I'll check it out after work.

I think after VI I need to play II and III. They're the only two in the entire series I've never played period. I have Dawn of Souls lying around somewhere and purchased III from Humble Bundle a little while ago. At the same time, after V I want a bit of a break from job system, hence VI first =)

Also one of these days I need to get my hands on IV After Years, I might be able to get that one at the used bookstore ... we shall see! Might have to wait until after all my moving nonsense is done.

Just one little speedbump left between me and new apartment, it looks like. I finally tracked down the right phone number and contacted the people I owe that final bill to. For some bizarre reason they don't take payments over the phone. So I'm waiting for a reply to my email. They said within 24 hours - you've got til lunch, guys.

Good news is, if I can straighten it all out this week, everything at the credit bureaus updates their info around the 15th of the month, so I'll be all ready to swing down to the apartment next week, re-apply, and things should fly through smoothly.

And with that, lots of work to do today in the meanwhile. Off I go. Later FAWTLfolk.
