Pointless link to Swedish comedy number "Vad i helvete har dom för sig på banken efter tre?" (What the Hell are they doing at the bank after three o'clock?).

Electricity is some sort of weird magic which is totally unpredictable. I stay far away from it whenever possible.

I had a deathtrap of a car that, everytime you drove at any speed over a puddle or slush, the water would wash up under the car, and short out the battery. I would lose lights, power steering, all electricity.

O.o

This all reminds me, there was some minor electical work I need to get done on the house. We've finally got light when I get home from work...I can shut the house off and fix it.

*sigh* the money pit...there's always something.

Just tell the girl at the counter that you want to make a sizable deposit.

Electricity? Nah. When me and my brother were kids we found an AC power plug with lose piece of cord and put it into the socket. The lose cord was very short and lacked isolation on the very end shocking the person holding the plug... (this was part of city grid with 220V and 50 Hz)

*zap* Ay!

Let me try!

*zap* Ayy!

Now me!

*zap* Ay!

It was fun but parents took the plug from us for some strange reason...

When I was in grade school (I was probably about 7), our science class was doing a little workshop making circuits by connecting two wires between a battery and a small lightbulb. Mine wouldn't work, so I tried to determine if the lightbulb was burned out by attaching both wires to the bulb and then sticking them into an electrical socket. I was fine, but the small explosion was rather startling.

And then, of course, there was the period of 5 years or so where I would routinely get shocks off of USB cables and short out portable electronics by touching them...

A buddy of mine once got a comically large jolt off of a can of spray-cheez at the grocery store. I could see the arc from 10 feet away.

Holy s!$#. How did THAT one happen?

Sometime relatively soonish I really need to sit down with Ebon and Scint and do a detailed, scale- and size-appropriate map of our homebrew setting. There's a ton of territory that we've yet to develop that's getting kind of ignored due to not being dreamed up yet.

Though I have managed to detail some of the setting's masterminds and supervillains. Think we need a few more than this gal and the small handful of others we've dreamed up, though.

OI used to do power line clearance for the local co-op, one summer I was up in the bucket, pouring sweat, I had it arc from the power line to the back of my neck. Knocked me out, and knocked me out of the bucket.

Electricity is like a junkyard dog, it can serve you well, until it decides to bite your ass.

YOWCH!!! Glad you didn't hurt yourself in the fall!! >_<

(Or if you did, that the injuries weren't permanently debilitating!)

I love getting off early and rushing home to have my wife say, as I walk through the door, "Yay, you're home! I'm going to take a nap, wake me up in time to go to work.".

Strapped in with the safety harness. The other guy had to lower the boom from the "rescue" controls with me dangling from the lanyard like a redneck piñata.

I wish he'd taken a pic, I'll bet I looked pretty funny like that. :P

I can see my campaign setting in my head sometimes on a map. But I am terrible with drawing(I can't draw ANYTHING), and I have only an idea of what lies in the direction of the compass rose with the main city of the setting at its heart. I wish my mind worked in such a way that I could draw it out, but I have trouble putting words to paper even. The mind...such an enigma. So infinite yet made of such crude electric sponge-pudding. Ah...

Yeah I know that feeling. One of my players - Faceless here, though he only posts in my PbP (Harroc) and my KM journal (Errol) - drew an awesome-looking picture of his Magus, and has been doodling the cast on and off. And Scint's really good with Photoshop and GIMP, and she'd done some mapmaking for us in the past (including one gaming map, an AWESOME theatre map that I'm hoping will see a return in our CoT game as we're now in Sixfold Trial).

I still need to request my MapperZombie map though. Just need to decide on design and such and type up the description for him.

Kingmaker spoilers:
I'm wanting a revamped Fable for the final Kingmaker battle - I really do not want Nyrissa (and friends) cramped in that tiny little circular room!

In any event, working on setting and stuff is contingent on both of them having a free day/night and not being overly stressed. I know Ebon's in the middle of a mess of school stuff, and Scint's busy with work and her interviews and all the travel involved.

I was in the high school library one day working on a research paper, looking for a book on the metal shelves on carpeted floor. All was well until I needed both hands to reshelve a book, so I clamped my wooden pencil between my molars and bent over to get the book back in its proper place. The pencil tip approached the metal shelf, a spark arced to it, ran through the lead and through the metal band holding on the eraser, right into my fillings.

Spoiler:

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Pudding... Yum.

After a greyish, rainy noon we got surprising beautiful afternoon so I went to library. I also stopped for a little shopping spending more than I should (yay, icecream cone, also APPLES!).

I think the interview went all right, especially for a first one. Turns out I sort of know one of the interviewer's relatives - teaches physics at my old high school, and I run into him on occasion while subbing. Sincerely doubt that'll make or break my chances, though.

Honestly, even if I don't get the position (for today's or Monday's), at least it's a little interviewing experience under my belt. At least it means people are actually getting my applications!

Even better, after school activities. They asked me what I'd be interested in, and I said the usual artsy type things...and brought up a gaming club because "It's great for creative writing and improving mental math skills among other things," and they actually seemed interested.

WOOOOOOOW....

Still, in a library with a pencil between your teeth? This started off so right and ended so wrong...

Wait... Hold to whose humanity?!

I am holding to humanity tightly with my teeth...

How could I replenish my own humanity otherwise?
