Now before any flamers jump in here, the issue of the paladin. The human paladin gives a +1. This is not a plus one per level. This is a +1 just like a statistic modifier. A 12 str does not give you +20 dmg /attack over 20 levela. Now for the sorcerer, the sorcerer text staes you get to add 1 spell to your known chart. This is in effect the saem as a +1 str, it is not per level. Bard and barby are the same as the str and paladin as described here.

If this is really how you read into the rules I have to wonder how your actual gaming sessions go with your group.

Seriously the intent is fairly obvious, you seem to be arguing for the sake of arguing at this point.

No rule system is going to be perfectly worded with clauses and subclauses, there is a reason people go through many years of law school to be lawyers and I'm not going to play a game that requires a degree in Pathfinder. No gaming company can afford to produce a product of the level that you seem to require, covering the detail and spectrum that you seem to expect.

Ok....at first I was mad at you for trolling, then I tried to explain it to you because there was a discrepancy in the editions, now I am back to being pissed off. Give it up! We have explained how it works. That is the ruling. If you don't like it write your own rpg.

As a side note: In this new reality of rules I roll a superstitious barbarian with a +80 something to all saves. I win!

Kalyth , please do not preach "intent". This ability has the capability of being done this way from first print to current print rules. It has gone from first print and first print errata to now second print. If you still believe "intent" after 3 prints have been done, then you need to step outside your box. I show you rules in print, you show me factless fantasy. Take intent else where.

I could see there needing to be some errata (at least from what I see in the PRD as my book is at home).

From an english standpoint the 1/2 elf summoner favored it as follows:

I think that the word point is missing. It should read "Add +1/4 point to the eidolon's evolution pool." Since that is what I understand RAI to be.

But as it is, you could read it as follows:

Summoner: Add +25% to the eidolon's evolution pool.

which would have a 2nd level half elf summoner having a pool of 5 (4 + 1(24% of 4)) and a 15th level one would have 25 (20 + 5(25% of 20)). Now I know that this is not correct, but someone will try to claim that or misunderstand that.

My "Preaching Intent" had just as much bases as your intentional and erroneous twisting of the obvious effects this ability should have. Frankly your trolling and I'm done, its a waste of time.
