Well if you want to be really impressive give it a real fancy name like from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
The Shining Blade of Impossible Balance (Shining Blade for short)
Triumph of Good Against Evil, Law Against Chaos, Justice Against Sin (Triumph for short)
The Inheritance of the Just (Inheritance for short).

This reminds me of Prince Philionel from Slayers :D
"PACIFIST CRUSH!"
"KINDNESS TO ALL CREATURES KICK!"
"BENEVOLENT BEAR HUG!"
"GOODWILL TOWARDS MEN SMASH!"

Hmm... so the priests of his faith don't know what he's supposed to do, but they know it's really important? How about...
...SALVATION
Sets up all kinds of hardcore lines, too:
"Evildoers, I bring you... SALVATION!"
"Though you may be evil, I assure you, you will find SALVATION."
"I hold SALVATION in my hand."

I need to name a holy two handed sword that I am putting in my campaign for the Paladin.
And I am drawing a blank...
Please list any suggestions you have. Even if you think it's awful. It can be anything from real world words to made up words or even words in another language. You never know where inspiration might come from and right now I am needing some big inspiration.
What are the powers of the blade? that might give us a clue.
However if nothing else serves.. "Light of.. (insert Diety name)" is always a good fallback.

I still have a few days left before I decide on a name but I wanted to go ahead and say thanks to all of the folks that have posted so far. All of your suggestions have been a great help in me trying to figure out where I want to go with this.
Here is what I have learned from this thread so far.
First, I really like the idea of having a name and then having the name mean something. Such as this post from Kamelgure; Vraedesbyrd ("Burden of Wrath" in Norse). I think it gives a deeper feel to the item. So, now I have two things to work on. A name and what it means.
Second, even though it is a Paladin's sword (+2, holy) I am leaning toward giving it a name that has more of a dark feel to it. I don't see this as a conflict since war is dark.
Lastly, please keep the suggestions coming. It is greatly appreciated.

Is this a low level, mid or high level campaign, does the sword have a purpose, special ability(s), or intelligence. Does the sword have a history/lore? Did any specific race or races forge the sword, if so, possibly naming as you would appropriately of that race <ie. elven>. Was this sword passed down through the family or found on the corpse of a_random_mob?
When making specific weapons/items for longer campaigns I like to ask myself many of those questions and put some real thought into it. Many people here have offered great suggestions for names for your sword. The final touches are up to you and how far you want to get yourself and said paladin into this. The sky is the limit. The more you put into the experience, the more your players will get out of it.
Try a name like 'Ever Vigilant', just an opinion...

It has not been revealed what this is all for. Only that there will be great trials that will demand one of his stature to face them.
Just off of this, Id suggest
Iomedae's Crucible (the cup that holds materials while you burn off impurities in alchemy, metalworking and chemistry)Reaver
Judgement (already mentioned, but always a classic)
Other than that, Id need more info on powers/abilities of the sword to find a better name. The Iomedae wiki is just to blandly written to hang much on that alone, and I havent read much beyond the core book yet.

The virtues are excellent choices. How bout Cold Truth? This was the name of the sun blade wielded by Thrym Twice Grim, a fell dwarven Paladin, the living embodiment and punishing Justicar of stern Muir.
