fair enough

The pazio boards have a dice roll expression is [ dice ] what ever dice you need + mods [/dice] cept with out the spaces

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 That's pretty nifty. I didn't know that they'd added that.

Silas takes a seat right where he is at. No sense in disturbing the guard any further. I have no intention of dying out here.

Henryk has remained towards the back of the boat throughout the confrontation.

The tense air within the ferry slackens a bit, as does the guard's expression. Broken only by the dog shifting back and forth. Uncomfortable and warily watching its master. Seemingly beckoned in the silence, the fluid sounds of something large moving briskly through the dark waters of the harbor come from just out of sight.

The increase in the rowing speed surely closed the distance, as the small ferry dock comes into view through the mists. It is a dilapidated construction, an eyesore among the longer and more skillfully made piers, now fallen into disuse.
Briefly colliding with a support strut, the ferry comes to a stop, sending a jolt through the breeding conflict aboard. The whitewashed walls of Kothas rise ever upward from your position at their base, eerily lit by an orange glow flowing from the braziers decorating them near a great gateway.

A more official looking soldier nears the dock wearing half plate armor in typical Kothas green and gold, three of his fellow gate post officers standing unmoving a few paces behind.

"Welcome to Kothas. You've got Garret with you huh? I assume you won't be any trouble."

Something about his statement, along with the narrow eyed glance he shot the guard aboard the ferry, would give any man an odd knowing feeling. Garret, as you now know him, sneers a bit and looks away, ignoring the address as the other soldier continues to speak.

"Quickly now, we would prefer the gate be closed soon. There is a tavern just inside, Three Stones Lodge. They always make special arrangements for shuttle nights."

The soldier, after his half greeting, returns to post as the old ferryman ushers you out of the vessel, gesturing toward a run down wooden ladder leading to the shore. The gate of Kothas waits, open but not so inviting somehow, revealing the well lit main street, winding past simple shops, temples and beyond an expanse of rundown housing areas.

Welcome indeed.

Atherton steps carefully from the ferry to the dock, giving his legs a moment to once again become accustomed to standing on steady land. Making an almost mocking gesture of tipping his hat to the ferryman and his fellow passengers, Atherton begins walking briskly in the direction indicated by the guards, taking in his dreary surroundings as he goes.

Keeping an eye on these new possible threats, Vitarri moves to the ladder and climbs as fast as he can in full battle gear. Having climbing up that questionable wooden ladder he stops and gives the walls of Kothas an admiring low whistle for a moment before moving on past the gate and into Kothas's interior. He doesn't seem the least bit disturbed by the heavily armored guardsmen but after he gets a ways passed them he releases a tense breath. Heavy armor always equals trouble, something I can't afford just yet...

He heads for three Stones Lodge straight away, he keeps himself in a wary state now that he is entering the unfamiliar streets of Kothas. As he approaches the tavern he tries to assess it's clientèle before entering, after a few moments he decides to enter and find a table nearest to the hearth, after taking a seat with his back facing the wall he decides to sit awhile as he waits for Maimaltril to appear.

When the bar maid appears he smiles at her and orders some weak wine, after it arrives he slips her a silver and another smile before sitting back sipping his wine slowly. He casually memorizes the faces in the tavern trying to commit them to memory. Never know who could betray you and best to remember their face so you can find them when vengeance is due...

Getting up after the ferry docks, Silas moves in no particular hurry onto solid ground. Giving the docks a quick look, he orients himself in the direction of the Three Stones Lodge. His walk is that of one who has done this countless times before.

*slips off the ferry and walks to the tavern sitting down and looking for anyone who might be his contact*

Thala groaned, waking slowly to something creaking. Was it the spiteful evil beings once more? No, she didn't sense it... And that's when the being sat up, eyes wide.
She was on the roof, in a hollowed out section that gave her safety while sleeping. Quickly she dons on her chain shirt, then cloth which resembled silk that hid the chain shirt that protected her, the color pure white with a lining of gold on the opened ends (sleeves, neck area, ect.. Look up Assimar). A belt goes around her waist, a rather large scabbard attached, with a sword inside, the type unknown to all but her.

Quickly she goes down a hidden ladder on the back of the inn, walking slowly to the front.

stealth check:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Trying her best, she seems to step on quite a few twigs as she made her way to the front, her short brown hair covering her right eye some as she tilts her head around the corner, wondering if anyone was there besides the evil taint that infected the city.

OCC:
Hope this is okay to do. If not, I'll delete.

*slips over to the table with Vitarri*

whispers to Vitarri:

Talking quietly with Maimaltril:

"I'm not all that concerned, so no need for apologies, just be careful you don't meet a blade in the dark..." He casts a wary glance across the crowd.

Leaning back he ponders for a moment on Maimaltril's question and finding his memory wanting, Vitarri simply shrugs. I'm not sure yet, my memory is... hazy on the why i'm here. I do know that this place may need my help and while i'm here I will do what I can no matter the cost." He flexes his battle gauntleted hand as he takes another sip of his weak wine, he spares the serving girl his best smile.

DM:

@ DM I don't know if I missed the email on why my character came to this place or if you were giving us private missions of sorts. Just wondering no big deal ^^d

@DM Correct if i'm wrong on the serving girl stuff lol, just adding it for flavor xD! But I won't do it agian if you don't want me too.

[Spoiler=Vitarri] Not to worry my friend I will be and also I am one of those blades in the dark.

*looks around for anyone who might be who he's looking for*

well as I have said before if you aid me I will aid you in your tasks whatever they maybe.

Waiting until everyone else has left and out of eyesight I step off the boat and begin talking with the guards asking about the local news, and if there is a place that I can stay that doesn't serve alcohol? Once they have given me directions I head that way slowly stepping into the shadows with my dog at my heels.

Next 3hrs.:
I am spending the next 3 hours walking about getting a lay of the land. Jotting down notes on a piece of paper forming some semblance of a map with key places listed. Alchemist, Apothecary’s, Blacksmith, Bars, Inns, General Supplies, Weapon smiths, Armor smiths, Libraries, Tanneries, Liveries, Butchers, Fishmongers, glassblowers, nobles quarters, and slums. Also, I am keeping an eye on the local guards and militia presence as well.

Relieved to be off the boat and away from the bickering passengers, Henryk quickly and inconspicuously makes his way to the wooden latter that leads into the town. Once at the inn, he finds a table towards the wall and orders a dark ale.
