***OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT***
Our new allies on the patchwork plane have granted the repair teams access to the rift, and it is repaired. These allies can help in the coming battles. The Patchwork Allies are secured!
| GM 7thGate |
"A divine creature indeed. I can tell you treasure him, and he you. Thank you all for helping our home; you will always be welcome here in Round Mountain."
Pathfinder scouts inform the group that all six of the locations have been secured and have active repair teams working to fix the tapestry. After about 40 minutes, the all clear call comes; all active teams have finished work, disturbances have been handled and everyone is to vacate the tapestry.
Having secured the tapestry and implemented provisional repairs, the Pathfinders return to the tapestry chamber in the Grand Lodge. Aram Zey begins assessing the tapestry’s condition and stability, as the different teams of Pathfinders begin to mingle and talk about the success and difficulties of their missions.
In person, this is a short 5-10 minute intermission where several players go to another table and talk about the missions you completed and learn about the ones you didn't, so you can get more of the story and have a break. In PBP, we're going to link the other table's gameplay threads, with the idea that you hear the stories they contain from your fellow Pathfinders. Please feel free to browse them and see what your fellow tables did during Part 2, and we'll move on to Part 3 in a few days.
The Discord table is on Cayden's Keg under the Gameday XIV Special Tables header, #gdxiv8-pf1-the-hao-jin-cataclysm-itspags.

Aram Zey stands once more before the tapestry, a renewed light in his sunken eyes. “The Hao Jin Tapestry is stable at last. While you were performing your duties, I have reached a better understanding of the chaos you faced. The tapestry is still in dire condition. Lacking Hao Jin’s own magic, the tapestry has been using small pieces of departing souls to maintain itself over the centuries. This mechanism is depleting the tapestry’s water sources and spawning undead horrors. However, thanks to you, we have time to search for a more permanent fix. For now, get some rest, and—”
The former Master of Spells staggers back as a three-foot tear down the center of the fabric gouts sudden flame. Pathfinder agents flock around him, scrambling to assess the damage. A vein pops out on his forehead, and he yells sharply, “Pathfinders! What have you done?” He cuts himself short, taking a deep breath and muttering to himself, “Keep it together. Don’t take it out on the agents.” Frowning, he returns his gaze to the tapestry, his eyes darting wildly across its surface. When he speaks again, his voice is low and determined, “This new rift is no accident. Something is attacking the tapestry from the Astral Plane. Damage of this magnitude must have spawned hundreds more undead. Quickly, re-enter the demiplane and fend off the invaders!”
Table GMs, begin Part 3.
| GM 7thGate |
A quick inspection of the tapestry and consultation with the scouts shows that there are attacks underway at Round Mountain, the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment and an area near the Raegrigx clan. Additionally, the tear itself is spawning undead near the Muckmouth tribe in great numbers.
Go ahead and post any buffing you want to do, as well as your choice of where you want to help. We'll go to the first area that gets two votes.

I'm sorry for the delay, it has been a very eventful week and I lost track of this for a few days
"Yes, that crossing has been a problem for some time. I think its the large chasm that forces the paths to converge to cross, with the nearby tunnels giving access to all sorts of creatures. A path that you must cross becomes a prime location for predators of all kinds."

"How did you meet your companions, Eskar and Lunette? A giant wasp is unusual, they are usually not amenable to sentient companionship."
Eskar runs a scarred hand over Oasis’ thick neck, the camel lets out a calm grunt as if proud of the attention
Oasis found me more than I found him he says with heavy voice It was a harsh meeting. Back then, I was guarding a caravan. We were ambushed in the dunes… Raiders, creatures, I barely remember. But when the dust settled, I was the only one still breathing. The desert swallowed the rest
I walked on for days, without food, without water... The desert had stripped me of strength, my legs were too weak to carry me farther and my waterskin was as dry as the bones buried in the desert. The sands stretched endless, and I thought my bones would join them before dawn
His hand presses firmer on Oasis, the faintest smile returning
That’s when he found me. He calmly came out of the dunes like a vision. With his guidence, he led me to a small oasis, a hidden paradise of life between the dunes. From that moment on, I knew he was no mere beast. He was a gift, whether from the desert itself or from my goddess, I do not question
Eskar’s hand lingers on Oasis’ neck as he finishes recounting the tale
Since then, he followed me around my patrols and became my loyal mount and companion. Showing me the worth of standing together against the dark, rather than facing it alone..
His eyes, however, drift toward Saya for a few seconfs, holding her gaze for a quiet moment. A small, knowing smile touches his lips
It was the answer to a prayer I didn’t know I’d spoken...

The Giant mosquito falls to the ground, defeated.
Combat over!
The giants do not seem to have much of value on them, mostly just tattered hide clothing and massive clubs. On checking in with scouts, it seems that the greatest need is for pathfinders to address powerful undead that have spawned near the muckmouth tribe.
After a 10 minute trip through one of the tattered bridges, the pathfinders arrive and can hear the sounds of screams in the distance. As they approach an ancient set of ruins, three undead creatures flying high come into view over a ziggurat. Two of the creatures are the size of human and are using longbows made of bone, while one is a 10 foot tall humanoid made of dry, dead flesh with a ghostly, screaming incorporeal form embedded in its jagged bone chest.
If you have any additional long duration buffs you want to cast en route to the combat, go ahead and post them. I assume you will heal up the minor damage with wands, so someone can go ahead and roll healing when convenient.

Eskar
Oasis
For this map, you start on the low ground at elevation 0. Most of the map is elevation 10, while the top of the ziggurat is elevation 25. The undead have flown up over the ziggurat and are at 40’ elevation when you see each other.

”Oh like now what? These look even more unfriendly than the mosquitoes and ghosts ants. Well, hurry up and have at them before they do something nasty.“
She waves her hands and casts haste on the party before moving to the side

The large undead extends a hand, and the ghostly apparition in its chest seems to gutter as magic assaults the Pathfinder's minds.

Will save against mind-affecting: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34
Same thing over and over again. At this point it becomes mechanical to him. Some would even say it's so robotic but it makes life easier for him to some extent.
Same thing, haste and raging song
