Galimus does not exactly relax as another of the zombies falls and the remaining look seriously damaged but he does look more at ease. And he appreciates that he's got some room to work.

He snaps out another lash of positive energy then imparts occult insight on Thurgan.

Vitality Lash, Will save DC19, vitality: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) = 10

And Guidance on Thurgan.

Thurgan whirls around and slices Magenta with a single chop. Grump slashes Green critically, as well. Lawric gains 10 temp HP.

Galimus unleashes another lash of vitality.

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 vs DC 19, 10 vitality

--Round 4

Yellow Zombie (-58)

Green Zombie (-37, 12 < AC <= 14, weakness slashing 5) <50%
Cyan Zombie (-52)
Blue Zombie (-54)
Magenta Zombie (-54)

I'm going to take a bit of GM privilege and just bot Lawric and Niaqun to use Vitality Lash, and probably just call the fight unless it crit succeeds both, since it's got 13/50 remaining vs 6d6 vitality.

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 vs DC 18, Vitality: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 vs DC 19, Vitality: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6) = 12

With a few more channels from Creation's Forge, the remaining zombie falls, and an eerie silence returns to the town.

So, there are a lot of things to consider at this point. It's 11 pm, with another 7 hours until sunrise, and there are two openings that are entirely smashed.

The first thing to consider is healing. I assume there will be enough methods to get people back up to full eventually, but I need to know how long it takes.

Edit: I forgot to address the disease. The disease is zombie rot: it has an onset of 1 day, so if you finish the scenario in 1 day, there will literally be no effect. But, if you go longer than a day, anyone infected will start taking unhealable void damage. (It's 1d4 on the second day / Stage 2, so you'll get a second save before anything happens, but just so you know, the fifth day / Stage 5 is death.)

The second thing to consider is repair. Repair rules are the same as before, but with a twist: you only have 1 reinforcement material remaining. Friendly GM tip, you will want to get both destroyed openings back to intact (which does not require materials), but there's no mechanical difference between having one unreinforced opening and two unreinforced openings, so unless you want to try to sneak out to find more building materials, don't bother.

The third thing to consider is preparation for a second wave - do you want to sleep in the same spots? Do you want to sleep at all (or have more than one person on watch, which would require sleeping into the day)? Do you want to sleep in armor, which would make your character(s) fatigued the next day?

The fourth thing is a little more metagamey, but I'm happy to consider suggestions on what you consider would be an appropriate combat starting setup to be. The first wave was supposed to be surprise-y, but for the second wave, you're supposed to be better prepared. Mechanically, the zombies will break through two entrances at random (so you can't predict where they will enter, they won't even go for the unreinforced entrances), but it seems reasonable to have everyone awake and armed, with a round or two of actions, and that would give you time to gather or coordinate.

Lawric moves through the wreckage without a word. He gathers bandages, clean water, thread. His hands are steady, methodical—more embalmer than medic.

He stitches Galimus with precise, expressionless care. Wraps Thurgan’s arm tight enough to stop the bleeding, but not enough to bruise. Cleans the bite on Grump’s flank with slow, circular motions.

“YOU’LL HURT FOR A WHILE,” he says softly. “THAT MEANS YOU’RE ALIVE.”

Then he keeps working.

I will assume that Niaqun's spell will supercede Lawric's Treat Wounds, so that everyone is healed and Refocused with enough time for everyone to do an hour's work at least.

It will take an hour to repair a destroyed entry (no check required), and then, an hour to reinforce an intact entry (check required, but only 1 material remaining).

Is everyone staying up? Continuing the same watch rotation?

Also, I think it's fair to say that it's been 16 hours since your last rest, at this point. Everyone will be Fatigued until the morning.

Begin: 7 reinforced entries (green), 2 destroyed entries (red)

Watch schedule from before (feel free to revise): Lawric (8:00-10:40), Niaqun (10:40-1:20), Galimus (1:20-4:00), Thurgan (4:00-6:40). Sunrise will be 6:40 am.

Lawric could help with disease, if it wasn't for being an 8 hour check...

Lawric stops mid-wrap as a familiar warmth washes over him. Blossoms drift on the edge of his vision—strange, soft spirits brushing past his skin. He breathes in through his nose and lets the linen fall from his hands.

No need for poultices now. The work is done by gentler hands.

He stands and turns at Naquin’s question, eyes resting briefly on the broken forms piled near the wall.

“THEY ARE NOT BODIES,” he says calmly. “THEY ARE EXHAUSTED SHELLS. IF THEY HELP US RESIST THE DEAD TONIGHT, WE WILL SEE TO THEIR RITES AT DAWN.”

He doesn’t wait for agreement. He just goes back to the windows and works to repair the damage.

Undead Lore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Just steps quietly back to a place near the others, folds his legs beneath him, and closes his eyes.

He sleeps this time where others can see him.

Since he doesn't wear armor, Lawric will still try to sleep and work towards being able to refresh his spells.

"We won't do much good around here if we're exhausted," Galimus says, though he suspects he won't be able to get to sleep as easily as all that. "Wake me up for my shift and we can double watch or you can rest. Tomorrow, we'll try to figure out some way to get more warning before those things show up."

He returns to his spot, scowling at his armor, which was completely useless. He suspects he'll only be able to wear it in the day time. When it's not needed.

Still, he tries to get to sleep as quickly as possible.

To be a little nitpicky, what are people doing, by the hour? Niaqun and Lawric don't need rolls to move the broken entrances to intact, but it does take an hour. So, 11pm-midnight, Niaqun and Lawric would be working on repairs?

And, if Thurgan is staying up, will Galimus be taking his watch shift at 1:20? Will Niaqun finish his watch shift?

My intention was to do the reinforcement immediately, but if the repair has to be done first, Galimus will sleep during that time, instead. And when he wakes up for his shift, if no one has done the reinforcement by then, he will perform the reinforcement.

I think I failed my roll so if he is able to do the reinforcement immediately, it will take him 2 hours and then he'll just stay awake for his shift.

Alright, so 11pm-midnight, Niaqun and Galimus go to sleep, and Thurgan and Lawric repair the openings. At midnight, Lawric goes to sleep, and Thurgan will stay up to reinforce 1d2 ⇒ 1 the side window. At 1:20, Thurgan wakes Galimus up for his watch, so there's a double watch at 2:00 am when a crescendo of groans suggests there's a second wave approaching.

They seem to be approaching 1d9 ⇒ 6 the big window in the retail area, and 1d8 ⇒ 2 one of the windows in the bedroom. Changing those two green (reinforced) openings to yellow (unreinforced).

Two of the three yellow (intact, unreinforced) entrances will burst forth with zombies. Please place yourselves where you'd like to be when combat begins. You'll be awake, standing, and armed, and on top of that you can take a round to Ready something or to cast a spell.

Red Fortitude: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 vs DC 19, 15 vitality

Niaqun and Lawric lash it with vitality, bringing it near death. Uh, re-death. Whatever.

Red continues to swing at Thurgan.

The rest of the zombies shamble in, swarming over the bar, but the heroes can react before swarmed. All of them needed double Strides to get in to their current positions.

Galimus eases the iron fisted grip he holds over his cohesive ego, allowing the almagamated spirits that make it up and provide his animating force to assert themselves as individuals. Unfortunately, he can set them free and determine which will come to the fore.

Meddling Futures: 1d4 ⇒ 1

"A noble fight against shambling hordes of undead! A worthy cause indeed. There might be hope for us, yet!" Galliard's stentorian tone comes out of Galimus' mouth, his words as regimented as his posture.

Thurgan runs up and nearly slices Cyan in half with one giant swipe, and then Grump almost does the same to Dark Green. <10% at -18, and not dead at -19, so 20 max HP ;)

Word has gotten out, and the zombie hordes descend on the house in force, hundreds of zombies beating on every possible point of entry. They rip ALL the remaining reinforcements off, and they break through at two points, dozens of zombies crammed so close together that they behave as a swarm.

ALL reinforcements have been destroyed. Zombies will break through two points randomly. As before, everyone is armed and awake, with a round to act however you wish.

In addition to zombie immunities (mental, death, etc.) and weaknesses (vitality, slashing), I think it's reasonable for your characters to understand splash damage and area damage would also trigger weakness.
