Kythvanath
"It doesn't sound familiar to me. You should understand, none of us is native to Korvosa."
Ahh well that's a shame. I believe that protecting the citizens of this city is a noble ideal. So you have my blade and my magic at your disposal, for protecting the innocent.
Kyth says clearly disappointed that they had no information on his father.
Who knows maybe if we join them I can build the connections necessary to find the bastard who killed him and burned our home.
Zariah
Zariah's eyes pass over the assembled group at the man issues his welcome such as it is. A coy smile creeps across her face.
"Four to a room? Given the present company this should be......interesting."
Ezekiel Tauranor
"Well then, I suppose I'll offer my room up first for those who wish to join. I can only promise that I will be polite as possible, and allow privacy as needed."
He turns to 'Valeria', and gives her a warm smile, and kiss on her lips - as soon as they separate, she dissipates into thin air.
"Fare well, my love - I shall see you shortly, lest I find you in this town somewhere."
With all of that, he gathers his pack, and hauls it to his shoulders, stretching his arms and legs, then adjusts his robes.
"So, anyone?"
Shol’a’saul
Shol'a'Saul face drains of color on hearing the unpleasent news she would be sharing a room with several other people. She had not been subject to such sleeping arrangements for quite a number of years. She unconsciously squeezes Galrian's hand, as she glances over at the young man who had summoned his companion. Was he...safe? yes, yes I suppose so....Very well.
She stands to her feet and looks over at him, the man who now was alone, and responds, "I will stay with you, if that is OK?"
Asasha
Asasha bemusedly watches Ezekiel say goodby to... whatever "Valeria" is well i guess that's one less bed we need, then smirks at Zariah's comment..
"Well its a lot better than it was aboard." Asasha grins "I guess we'll be in a room together again?" she continues indicating Katallin "You too Zari? He still snores like a wounded pig but you just throw something at him and he quietens down eventually."
Ezekiel Tauranor
The youthful male turns to the elven lady, and he gives a small bow with his arm crossing his chest. He smiles, and walks over towards her and the old man.
"I gladly accept your eagerness - though I am sure the man beside you would most likely wish to join you. With that said, it leaves another to fill the room!"
He turns and looks to the men who brought them here now, and walks slowly over to them.
"Now, where are these rooms, so we may see just how the accommodations are? I'd really like a good idea of who's sleeping where - after all, we do have the presence of ladies amongst us."
And that last tone would hold a small bit of charm in it - it was an unfortunate habit that always stayed with him. He brushed his hair back a bit, and turned to look at the rest of the group.
I can tell easily that three of them will stay as one - unless, of course, they separate. That would mean the couple would have to... split for the rooming... We'll see how it turns out.
Kythvanath
Well that works out wonderfully, because unless my math has failed me their are 10 of us here tonight. So me and Diabinthe will save you all the headache of putting up with Ludi's antics and take a room by ourselves if that is all right.
Kyth says with a small smile as he mentally goes over the rooms.
Galrian Sho´ray
Well, I don´t have anything against these settings of sleeping. Once you travel, you can´t always choose your companion for sleeping Galrian state and then look at other people. hm... those couple will be most likely together with their wolf. Those 3 friends will most likely be together and then the summoner... and then there is that non-inviter and... oh, that alchemist, almost forgot him.. so all together we are 10 with sudden feeling of squeezing hand, Galrian looks at Shol´a´Saul and notices her little bit panicked face
hm... I suppose no other choice then but soon Ezekiel responds for leaving them alone with some others. Hm.. gentleman... but I do recognize that smile heh... trick number 23, hm.. there was that one gir-- bla bla bla bla oh yes.. hm, he still need more than that.. but yes, hm hm
Galrian will cough little bit to get attention of others and then speak in friendly tone If I may suggest that we could arrange the room in one way? Since we are 10 people and it´s 4 per room. hm... I and Shol´a´Saul would be sleeping with the couple, if you don´t mind? while turning and facing Kythvanath and Diabinthe and Great Katalling, Asasha, Zariah could maybe sleep then together and Ezekiel could sleep with Kristopher and Lamm?
Another one would be that ladies would be sleeping together and I will be joining with Ezekiel, Lamm and Kristopher. That leaves then the Kythvanath and Diabinthe together still
When Galrian finishes he keep looking at other people, but bends little bit to whisper to Shol´a´Saul ear If I am correct, I guess that "boy" there, who you looked anxiously... is that customer you could not heal? and gently squeeze her arm. It has been a long time now and I bet she has forgiven you. What I said also before... time will heal wounds and maybe she would be interested to speak again with you and share memories. After all, maybe speaking with her again might help and I bet she would gladly talk with you Galrian finish and wraps his hand around her shoulder. A sudden gush of divine energy wraps them around and small light surrounds for a while Shol´a´Saul casting Guidance & Touch of Good
I assume that Lamm is also here and been listening, introduced at some point.
Shol’a’saul
Shol'a'Saul feels the reassuring touch of Galrian, and also the presence of his divine energy infusing her body. She hesitates still, for a moment, reaching under her cloak, and touching something hidden, almost a stroking motion.
Her gazes loses it unfocused look, and then her dark pooled eyes seek out Asasha. Approaching the young lady, shol'a'Saul nods at her in greeting, saying in a somewhat stilted voice, "Do you remember me, Asasha? I am pleased to see you are well."
Asasha
Her gazes loses it unfocused look, and then her dark pooled eyes seek out Asasha. Approaching the young lady, shol'a'Saul nods at her in greeting, saying in a somewhat stilted voice, "Do you remember me, Asasha? I am pleased to see you are well."
With a pretty and infectious smile Asasha greets the elf in return."Of course I remember you.,.. Shal'o'saal isn't it? - You helped out,.. that time." Asasha replies, unconsiously smoothing her left sleeve over her scar. "As to how I am. Never been better. You might not have met Katallin here before?.. and of course Zari, eh, Zariah."
Galrian Sho´ray
well, I will at least advance little bit since there doesn´t seem to be nothing anymore, so I will leave it to "next morning" if there is no one to speak with me
Galrian will then slowly move towards door, standing & waiting for decision of others about arranging of the rooms. Since the question were not answered yet, most likely due to lateness of meeting and preparations for tomorrow, Galrian is having thoughs of going to rest for a while next to fire, drinking still little bit of that good elven wine and maybe finish his prayers for the tomorrow, since the answers are most likely giving tomorrow.
Praying time will be for me in the evenings, now just postponed due to meeting etc
hm.. will see how will be tomorrow. Hopefully someone will tell me later how is the sleeping arranged... but I wont mind having accident entering of wrong room, heheh. Maybe need to reserve little bit of that elven wind for later, hmmm
As he enters back to normal rooms in inn, Galrian cast on himself Guidance and Touch of Good, taking fast look around -
Perception1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 /w Guidance & Touch of Good
Sense Motive1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 /w Touch of Good
- and walk to fireplace and pick up his Glaive from corner next to him.
Lem Thomason
Lem glances from the notebook he had again been scribbling in as the group starts to fragment and move out of the strange underground room. He had been only half listening to the strange armoured man and the half orc and the various conversations going on around him and vaguely waved his hand in assent when the question of joining the hourglass society came up. At the mention of rooms he looked up from the series of arcane diagrams he had been sketching and clears his throat, trying to catch the groups attention before they all disappear off.
"I don't think I've met any of you before I spose I should introduce myself or something? The name is Lem Thomason and I am a dabbler in the alchemical arts. I don't really mind where I sleep but I am going to have to set up my lab somewhere and that can get pretty damn noxious, so if any of you have a particularly sensitive nose I may not be the ideal bunkmate."
Galrian Sho´ray
Before leaving from room
"I don't think I've met any of you before I spose I should introduce myself or something? The name is Lem Thomason and I am a dabbler in the alchemical arts. I don't really mind where I sleep but I am going to have to set up my lab somewhere and that can get pretty damn noxious, so if any of you have a particularly sensitive nose I may not be the ideal bunkmate."
Galrian turns and looks at alchemist, ponder for a while and then speaks out: Well, seems like need to wait for a while until everyone get an idea of how they want to sleep but for me it´s not such a big matter. You get used to things after some time
and then he is off to stairs.
Shol’a’saul
With a pretty and infectious smile Asasha greets the elf in return."Of course I remember you.,.. Shal'o'saal isn't it? - You helped out,.. that time." Asasha replies, unconsiously smoothing her left sleeve over her scar. "As to how I am. Never been better. You might not have met Katallin here before?.. and of course Zari, eh, Zariah."
Sence Motive 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
"It is pleasant to see you again. If you feel the need to talk about the past, then I will listen to you." She then turns her attention to Katallin, and nods in greeting. A part of her notes how handsome he is.
Ezekiel Tauranor
With everyone meeting old friends and being happy about themselves, he only sighs, looking around and about. He figures he should at the very least attempt, and approaches the larger group, which included the elf he'd spoken to earlier.
"Evening, all of you. I know I said it before, but my name is Ezekiel, and it'll be a pleasure working with all of you." He paused, and then continued, "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly can you do? I really haven't had a lot of time to look into things other than my studies, so I can't really guess by appearances alone."
He gave off his smile, and closed his eyes for a moment before reopening them, eager for an answer.
Sense Motive 10
He seems to be very left out, and is obviously trying to fit in somewhere. His composure is very different when his 'summon' isn't around.
Shol’a’saul
Sense Motive 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Shol'a'Saul turned to Ezekiel on hearing him, and something in his tone struck a chord in her. She turns to stare at him directly in his eyes, and replies, "I am Shol'a Saul. I am a healer, a member of the Covey of Korvosa." Her voice is low and measured, with a note of...concentration, as if she is trying to maintain focus on him.
The Great Katallin
I think that'll be fine Asasha, The Great Katallin tries to hide a bit of a blush at the thought of sharing a room with Zeriah, and Asasha. With just Zeriah it would be fine, but the incesent teasing. Oh well better to keep them both close.
The Great Katallin nods a return greeting to Shol'a'saul,Pleased to meet you. Any friend of Asasha and Zeriah is a friend of mine
When Ezekiel comes over, The Great Katallin responds I am a fortune telling swordsman Preist of Desna, and the only one of my kind.
Lem Thomason
Lem raises an eyebrow at Ezekiel's question and pauses for a second, trying to adequately frame an answer before speaking.
"As I said before, I am an alchemical dabbler. I make and sell potions, unguents and cure alls as well as conduct my own little experiments, but that does not really describe the nature of my skills. Perhaps a demonstration of one of my concoctions will better showcase my talents?"
With a flick of his wrist a small vial appears in Lem's hand, the contents a strange murky liquid that shifts and slides across the inside of the glass as if alive and seeking escape from it's crystalline prison. With a flourish Lem pulls the stopper from the vial and throws back the contents in one quick swallow. He tucks the now empty vial back up his sleeve before speaking again.
"Now observe as the extract takes effect and don't be alarmed, it can be a bit of shock the first time."
As he finishes the sentence Lem's flesh begins to swell and move as if great worms were wriggling beneath his skin, his skin darkens and takes on a distinctively reddish hue, his shoulders and arms bulge and lengthen and the black hair on his head and face sinks back into the skin. The ridge of his eyebrow broadens as do his cheek bones, lending his face a much more aggresive aspect. Finally, with a faint popping of reshaped cartilage his ears lengthen to those resembling an elf's.
Asasha
"If you don't mind me asking, what exactly can you do? I really haven't had a lot of time to look into things other than my studies, so I can't really guess by appearances alone."
"Well i can handle a blade," Asasha chimes in "but i have... other skills too. I used to be an acrobat, anyway I do alright for myself. Name's Asasha by the way. Now, however I think i'm off to grab a bed." with that Asasha stands up, streaches like a cat, picks up her pack and heads for the sleeping quaters.
sense motive vs. Ezekiel DC 10 1d20 ⇒ 9

Zariah
Sense motive1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Zariah looks at Ezekiel wordlessly, her smoky gaze betraying none of her thoughts.
"I'm Zariah. I have lived here all my life, a dancer, entertainer and fortune teller by trade, and....something else, though what exactly I'm still discovering. I'm suure we will all get along fine given the existing history between some of us."
A coy smile creeps across her full lips.
"A bed sounds like an excellent idea, almost as good as a hot bath."
The Great Katallin
Perception:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Bed sounds good, but I think a drink sounds better. I invite you all to join me, though I fear I cannot afford drink for us all but I can get the first round.
The Great Katallin heads towards the stairs with anyone who cares to follow him.
He will buy 1 round for everyone and will purchase 2 more for himself. If anyone cares to treat him in return he will also drink those. Being a sailor I doubt he'd end up drinking enough for a hang over unless the others are particularly generous.
After drinking and getting to know a bit about whoever joins him The Great Katallin will head off to bed.
Zariah
Zariah enjoys the night, drinking and laughing with olld friends and new, feeling freer than she has in years. She gladly adjourns to the shared room as the night winds down.
She notes Katallin's furtive glances, enjoying them and the attention as well as Asaha's bubbling personality. She feels for amoment as if she were back in a happier time.
Galrian Sho´ray
As Galrian is finishing his preparations and prayers, he falls back to his memories while sipping his wine and having little bit left for later night. Galrian has a some ink & paper so he decides to practise again his skills in arts.
For a while focusing, he raises his head and notices people slowly appearing from the door and starting to talk and drink around. Feeling a little bit odd when he looks at the others, time has surely made its job. Sighing lightly for the events but accepting things as they are, he will polish his Glaive and continue the painting.
Thinking for a while, he remembers Ah... now what was it... the order of sleeping yes. Hm, youngsters, would not be surprise to see all of them sleeping in same room Turning back to his art, he slowly finishes an image of field of roses and a fountain in middle of scenery, focusing to the details.
Note: Added Ink, Oil and Paper to my equipments, took gold out from the amount I had. Planning also in the furure when leveling up-> Profession (dancer) + Profession (painter) = After all, clerics of Shelyns does appreciate art and Galrian... well, isnt exception as also his background would require it heh)

The morning comes too early. Inn's staff wakes you one by one and calls you to breakfast. One long table awaits you and bowls of porridge and plates with fried bacon are steaming alongside bottles of wine still cowered with dust and cobwebs. Vanya sits at your table, talking with a grizzled dwarf. He sees you and waves you to come.
Asasha
Asasha drinks heavily the night before, laughing with old friends and learning more about her new companions. Despite her heavy drinking, however, she appears at the table early, and in high spirits.
Grabbing a large serving of food, she eats with relish, listening to the conversation of those around her.
Shol’a’saul
Shol'a'Saul arrives early and helps herself to just the porridge and also some leftover fruit, along with some wine, avoiding the bacon and other meats. sharp observers will notice her feeding a centipede which has seemed to attach itself to her arm, which is usually covered up by her robe.
She smiles a good morning to Galrian, and nods at Asasha as well. In a move very unlike her, she realizes it is time to reconnect again with her. She seats down next to the young lady, and says, "I am pleased to see you have done well."
Kythvanath
Kyth sat at the table and began to pile the food in front of him, after all you never know when all you will have to live on is trail rations.
So do you have any work for us Vanya, and who is the dwarf? Diabinthe will be down soon she is meditating for the moment. Kyth says before digging into his plate of food.
The Great Katallin
The Great Katallin will arrive a bit later than the others after his morning prayers and his morning weapon forms. He will pile on a large helping of food. The Great Katallin will take the other seat next to Asasha. Good morning Shol'a'saul, may Desna guide your feet safely this day. The Great Katallin will nod to Galrian, Good morning Sir Galrian, may the grace of Shelyn bless your heart today. The Great Katallin will say a short prayer to Desna and begin devouring his food in the quick orderly fashion of a sailor.
Once The Great Katallin finishes his meal he will find where to scrape his dishes and put them away. Returning to his seat he will do his morning fortune.

Lawful Good Crown
Seems we will receive some good information from a new patron
Ezekiel Tauranor
With a large yawn, the youthful mage walks out of his room - he seems rather anxious, if not purely on edge, as Valeria follows him out; he had performed the ritual of summoning earlier that day, and he ensured she had been looking her best again.
"Morning, morning..." he managed, seating himself comfortably near the party that had invited them. He would proceed to eat a rather large meal, seeking to fill his belly as best as possible - Valeria did not eat. In fact, she looked rather pleased to simply be seated beside him, and kept to herself.
"So, what's on the agenda? Surely we're not to sit here and stuff our faces all morning."
Kythvanath
Probably not, though it would be nice if that was part of the job description. Kyth says with a laugh as he puts some more bacon on his plate. Also I'm sorry about not answering your question last night I have been off since returning to this city. I am a spell sword of the Vanguard style my father started unfortunately I am the only remaining member of his class as the rest were....I am proficient in both martial and arcane arts. He gets very quiet and somber as he begins to eat with noticeably less zeal than before.
Galrian Sho´ray
Sense motive 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16....
Galrian pops out again from his thinking and morning tireness... Sasquath..?? Where... oh, sorry, sorry... daydreaming just. Sword of the Vanguard style, hm hm, I believe I have maybe heard about this way of fighting but not sure, it was a long time ago when I used to travel.
Well, as a only member, you are quite good then heh... always strive to be best. Especially parents will be proud no matter what.
and thus falls back to eating breakfast mm.... bacon and eggs
Zariah
A rich spicy scent signals the arrival of Zariah to the table, dressed in dark red. Smiling she sits across from Asasha, Sho'la'soul and Katallin, helping herself to some of the impressive spread of food laid out for the group.
She listens to the commentary of those assembled gaining a better read on those assembled. As Katallin turns the card she glances at him, her face betraying nothing of her thoughts as she listens to his interpretation.
